Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the marketing performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through structured assistance and the provision of promotional banners. The program focused on Teng-Teng and banana chip MSMEs located in Pasir Putih Village, Sinjai Borong District, which face common challenges related to limited promotion, branding, and market visibility. The assistance was implemented through direct involvement in the production process and the development of promotional media in the form of banners designed to represent product identity and attract consumer attention. The activities were conducted in three stages: initial socialization with local stakeholders, production assistance, and promotional support through banner installation. The assistance sessions took place on February 20 and March 3, 2023, followed by banner installation on March 20, 2023. The results indicate that the provision of banners as promotional media improved product visibility and strengthened brand recognition among the local community. Moreover, the assistance process increased MSME actors’ awareness of the importance of marketing strategies and product presentation in supporting business sustainability. This activity demonstrates that simple promotional interventions combined with mentoring can contribute positively to MSME marketing development, particularly in rural areas with limited access to formal marketing channels. The findings suggest that assistance-based promotional strategies can serve as an effective approach to support MSME competitiveness and income improvement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya memahami makna tersembunyi dalam percakapan tokoh film sebagai bentuk representasi realita sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bentuk dan makna, serta fungsi implikatur percakapan dalam film Ipar Adalah Maut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik. Sumber data berupa transkrip percakapan dalam film Ipar Adalah Maut, yang dikumpulkan melalui teknik simak, catat, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data didasarkan pada teori implikatur percakapan oleh George Yule serta fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi oleh Searle. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 84 data implikatur percakapan yang terdiri dari 24 implikatur percakapan umum, 36 implikatur percakapan khusus, dan 24 implikatur percakapan berskala. Selain itu, ditemukan 73 data fungsi implikatur, yakni 20 fungsi implikatur asertif atau representatif, 22 fungsi implikatur direktif, 16 fungsi implikatur ekspresif, 8 fungsi implikatur komisif, dan 7 fungsi implikatur deklaratif. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa implikatur percakapan khusus dan fungsi implikatur direktif lebih dominan, yang merefleksikan ketergantungan makna pada konteks spesifik serta adanya kecenderungan tokoh dalam menyampaikan perintah atau permintaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kontribusi signifikan terhadap kajian pragmatik dalam memahami dinamika interaksi verbal dalam karya sebuah film.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation steps of Mindfulness Learning and analyze its effectiveness in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving skills on the topic of fraction multiplication and division at MTs Negeri Parepare. The low level of problem-solving ability was identified as being caused by a lack of focus, attention, and mental engagement during learning activities. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (one-group pretest–posttest). Data were collected through observation, mathematical problem-solving tests, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with a paired sample t-test. The results are expected to show a significant improvement in students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities after the implementation of Mindfulness Learning, as well as positive behavioral changes toward more focused, calm, and reflective learning habits.

Abstract

rogram pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya pemberdayaan warga Desa Salurengko yang menghadapi permasalahan tingginya paparan gigitan nyamuk serta masih rendahnya pemanfaatan bahan alami sebagai alternatif pengusir nyamuk yang aman dan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat melalui pelatihan pembuatan spray anti nyamuk herbal berbahan serai dan cengkeh. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan pada 11 Agustus 2025 di rumah Kepala Desa Salurengko dengan melibatkan 13 mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata dari berbagai program studi di bawah bimbingan dosen pembimbing lapangan. Metode kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung bersama peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa warga mampu memproduksi spray herbal secara mandiri dengan kualitas yang baik dan beraroma khas serai serta cengkeh. Selain menghasilkan produk yang efektif dan aman, kegiatan ini juga mendorong kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya emanfaatan sumber daya alam lokal untuk inovasi berbasis kesehatan dan lingkungan. Secara keseluruhan, pelaksanaan program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemandirian dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam menerapkan inovasi sederhana yang bermanfaat bagi kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR) learning media integrating Toraja carving ethnomathematics on the mathematical proficiency of ninth-grade junior high school students in Palopo. The research employed a quasi-experimental design using a pre-test and post-test model to measure the impact of AR learning media on students’ mathematical skills. The participants consisted of 150 students selected from six schools through purposive and random sampling techniques. The research instruments comprised a mathematical proficiency test and a questionnaire developed based on five indicators: conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, strategic competence, adaptive reasoning, and productive disposition. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, as the dataset was not normally distributed. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ mathematical proficiency after the implementation of AR learning media, as evidenced by the significance value of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, which is 0.000 and lower than 0.05. The integration of AR technology with local cultural elements of Toraja carvings successfully fostered a contextual, interactive, and meaningful learning environment. This study implies that can serve as an innovative pedagogical approach to enhance mathematical proficiency while promoting the preservation and appreciation of local culture in mathematics education

Abstract

T This study aims to explore students’ psychological experiences in mathematics learning and to understand how to understand how assessment practices influence students’ learning experiences and meaningful learning. The study employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach at SMP Muhammadiyah Pinrang. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of three eighth-grade students and one mathematics teacher as a key informant. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, naturalistic observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted phenomenologically by repeatedly reading interview transcripts, identifying meaning units, grouping them into essential themes, and interpreting the meaning of participants’ experiences. The findings revealed four essential themes: (1) mathematics anxiety and fear of making mistakes, (2) fluctuating learning motivation, (3) meaningful learning through conceptual and contextual connections, and (4) implicit humanistic assessment practices through teacher support. The findings indicate that mathematics learning is not only related to cognitive aspects but also closely associated with students’ psychological conditions. Meaningful learning tends to emerge when students can connect mathematical concepts with prior knowledge and real-life experiences, while supportive teacher responses contribute positively to students’ emotional experiences in learning mathematics. However, humanistic assessment practices have not yet been implemented systematically and remain limited to informal teacher support. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more empathetic and process-oriented assessment practices in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan kemampuan literasi siswa melalui pojok baca dengan penerapan metode Reciprocal Teaching dan bimbingan belajar. Sasaran program ini adalah siswa kelas 3 sampai kelas 5, adapun bimbingan secara khusus dilakukan untuk siswa kelas 3 yang belum lancar dalam membaca serta menulis. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu perizinan, sosialisasi, observasi, pembuatan pojok baca, kegiatan membaca bersama dengan penerapan metode Reciprocal Teaching, serta evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan kepada 20 siswa. Hasilnya anlisis menggunakan metode uji Wilcoxon mendapatkan nilai singnifikan yaitu (p-value = 0,001) < α = 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test siswa. Sebanyak 20 siswa mengalami peningkatan nilai post-test dengan rata-rata kenaikan 10,50 poin. Dengan demikian, program pojok baca dengan penerapan metode Reciprocal Teaching dan bimbingan belajar terbukti memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi siswa kelas 3 sampai kelas 5 di Utama Muhammadiyah 5 Kota Parepare.
