Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) is one of the main crops widely grown around the world and can affect various aspects of the ecosystem. One of the efforts to increase soybean production and prevent flower loss is the use of plant growth regulators (PGRs). The purpose of this research is to reduce flower loss and increase production yields in the Anjasmoro cultivar of soybean plants. This study aims to: (1) determine the significant influence of gibberellin (GA3) concentration on flower shedding, the number of pods per plant, the dry pod weight (per plant (g) and per plot (g), and the dry seed weight (pt)) of soybean. The study was carried out at Beberan Village, Palimanan District, Cirebon Regency, Indonesia. The research used Randomized Group Design (RGD) with one treatment factor and 4 replications. The results showed that the concentration of gibbelliin (GA3) significantly influenced flower loss (p0.05) and yield (p>0.05). The application of 100 ppm (N2) of GA3 can produce the highest dry weight of 901.25 g/plot or 2,815.625 kg/ha and is significantly different from other treatments. In addition, the study identified the optimal concentration that minimizes flower loss while maximizing production yield under non-stress conditions, contributing valuable insights to enhance agricultural practices aimed at improving soybean productivity in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the factors that encourage students' interest in choosing the public accounting profession. The aim of this study is to identify the elements that motivate students to choose to work in society, in terms of financial rewards, personality, level of job security, ease of information, and work environment towards interest in becoming a public accountant. We hope that this research will provide a broader understanding of the reasons why students choose the public accounting profession. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods using multiple regression analysis using primary data in the form of statements given directly to respondents. Respondents were students with a total of 115 participants. The results show that interest in a career as a public accountant is not influenced by awards, level of security and ease of information, but on the contrary, personality and work environment are factors that generate interest in a career as a public accountant.

Abstract

The community service program implemented in Binuang Santang Village, Halong District, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan, aims to reactivate the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) which had previously failed to develop its business. The community service team provided the community with knowledge on how to manage BUMDes by collaborating with external parties to provide input on the importance of community support for the businesses to be run. BUMDes had previously experienced failure and significant losses. This failure was caused by a series of fatal factors, including a lack of strategic planning, weak market risk analysis, and the lack of readiness of the management to run the business professionally, which became an important background for exploring strategies to activate BUMDes as a means of economic empowerment based on local potential. The service team applied the live-in method, which is staying at the service location with the aim of building more interaction with the community of Binuang Santang Village. The service was carried out for 58 days, from July 17, 2025, to September 12, 2025. The expected outcomes of the program include not only increased production but also increased collective income and strengthened village independence. Support from the community is the driving force behind ensuring that BUMDes provides broad benefits. Through the clear allocation of PADes, it not only improves economic welfare but also increases the quality of human resources (HR) in the village. Thus, BUMDes solidifies its position as an ideal model for inclusive development and ensures that the jobs created are stable and sustainable. BUMDes is a tangible manifestation of the philosophy that the village economy must be managed independently and professionally. In overcoming market challenges, technical training is key to optimizing infrastructure investments and transforming Binuang Santang from a food-producing village into a village that determines welfare.

Abstract

This research analyzes trends in studies regarding the relationship between water, sanitation, and stunting in children under five through bibliometric analysis. Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions are recognized as critical factors in addressing childhood stunting, yet the research landscape remains fragmented across disciplines. A total of 130 publications from the Scopus database covering 2010-2024 were analyzed using VOSViewer software. Co-occurrence analysis, co-authorship analysis, and citation analysis were performed to identify research patterns, collaboration networks, and knowledge clusters. The results reveal that medical sciences dominate the field (34.6%), followed by nursing (15.4%) and environmental sciences (13.8%), with research articles comprising 77.2% of publications. The United States leads in publication output with 35 documents, while Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health emerges as the most prolific institution with 8 publications. Publication trends show significant growth from 2010 to 2020, peaking at 23 publications in 2020. International collaboration analysis demonstrates strong cooperation networks, particularly between the United States and the United Kingdom. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identified three distinct clusters: Cluster 1 focusing on growth disorders and child development, Cluster 2 emphasizing stunting epidemiology and risk factors, and Cluster 3 addressing WASH interventions and pathogen exposure. The research landscape reveals disciplinary fragmentation that may explain contradictory findings and limited intervention effectiveness. Enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration and integration of clinical, epidemiological, and intervention perspectives are essential for developing comprehensive stunting prevention strategies, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

Abstract

The low resistance of wood as a frame material for traditional fishing boats against splashing sea water, humidity, and high-temperature fluctuations was studied in this study by adding coconut coir fiber to wood paint, where this mixture will become an anti-weathering composite material. To make compatibility between the fibers from coir which are water-absorbing (hydrophilic) and alkyd paints which are water-repellent (hydrophobic), the author gives special treatment to the coco fibers through an acetone pre-treatment process and hot alkali (hot alkali treatment) by soaking fiber in 10% high-temperature sodium hydroxide NaOH solution. Soaking in this solution is able to modify fibers that have a rough surface and reduce hydrogen bonding thereby improving the interfacial bond between the fiber and the filler in the composite. The results obtained were that the addition of fiber with a weight fraction of 3.40% to the alkyd paint matrix made the composite the most optimal anti-weathering coating.

Abstract

High-calorie foods can cause obesity if consumed in excess. Obesity occurs due to excessive fat accumulation in the body. Excess weight is a major risk factor for secondary disorders in pets, such as diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus occurs due to high blood glucose levels. Mango leaf extract contains bioactive compounds that can lower and normalise blood glucose levels and can be used as a supplement. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mango leaf extract supplementation induced by a high-fat diet on blood glucose levels. This study used arumanis and golek mango leaf. The methods used were extraction and in vivo testing. Extraction was performed on mango leaf, and the extraction results were administered to test animals in vivo. The phytochemical results showed that arumanis and golek mango leaf contain flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and saponins. The results showed that arumanis mango leaf extract was more effective in lowering blood glucose levels than golek mango leaf extract. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of knowledge about supplements and drug substitutes, as well as to identify more practical methods for drug therapy for diabetes mellitus in pets.
