Abstract

Educational planning is a systematic process aimed at achieving educational goals effectively and efficiently. One of the key steps in elaborating an educational plan is the implementation of evaluation and monitoring. This study aims to examine the strategic role of evaluation and monitoring in supporting the success of educational planning, particularly in the context of the dynamic needs of learners and the demands of changing times. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach as the primary technique for data collection. Data sources were obtained from books, scientific journals, research reports, and policy documents relevant to the topic. The analysis technique used is content analysis, by categorizing data based on key themes such as the concept of educational evaluation, the function of monitoring, and their contributions to educational planning. The findings indicate that evaluation and monitoring serve dual functions, namely as tools for quality control and as the basis for decision-making in continuous improvement. Both enable educational institutions to adjust planning strategies based on empirical data and reflections on program implementation. Evaluation helps assess the effectiveness of the plan, while monitoring ensures that implementation aligns with its objectives. The integration of evaluation and monitoring into the planning process also promotes accountability, transparency, and ongoing development. This study recommends that every educational institution establish a structured, participatory, and adaptive evaluation and monitoring system to produce more relevant and high-quality educational plans.

Abstract

In the era of modern education, innovation in teaching is a crucial aspect for improving learning quality. This study aims to find out the extent to which Internet Self-Efficacy (ISE) of teachers affects learning innovation in the constructivist curriculum and the extent to which Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) affects teachers in making learning innovations in the constructivist curriculum. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire filled out by 97 junior high school teachers in Central Java who implemented a constructivist curriculum. Based on the results of the regression analysis, it was found that in the condition that teachers have a high level of Internet self-efficacy, self-regulated learning (SRL) has a significant effect on the learning innovations that are carried out by teachers.  Another condition is the influence of SRL with low teacher ISE on teacher learning innovation. In the condition of low self-efficacy levels, SRL indicators of metacognitive skills, time management, and environmental settings did not have a significant effect on teachers' learning innovation. These findings indicate that teachers with high levels of self-regulated learning (SRL) and internet self-efficacy tend to be more innovative in implementing teaching methods that are in accordance with the principles of constructivism. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing teachers' self-regulated learning (SRL) and internet self-efficacy skills through continuous training and professional development programs to improve the quality of teaching in constructivist curricula.

Abstract

Nutritional issues among toddlers remain a major public health concern, especially in indigenous communities with limited access to basic services and unique socio-cultural systems, such as the Baduy tribe in Banten, Indonesia. This study aimed to identify key determinants of toddler nutritional status in the Baduy community using a cross-sectional design and multivariate logistic regression analysis. A total of 120 toddlers aged 0–59 months from Baduy Dalam and Baduy Luar were purposively selected. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements and structured interviews covering demographic, economic, environmental, and healthcare access variables. Bivariate analysis (Chi-square) showed significant associations between nutritional status and maternal education, household economic status, environmental sanitation, and healthcare access (p < 0.05). Multivariate analysis confirmed these as significant predictors: low maternal education (AOR = 2.31), low economic status (AOR = 4.85), poor sanitation (AOR = 2.70), and limited healthcare access (>3 km) (AOR = 2.40). Child age and gender were not significant factors. The findings indicate that nutritional vulnerability in the Baduy is shaped by structural determinants tied to cultural norms, geographic isolation, and subsistence lifestyles. Effective interventions must be culturally sensitive, improve sanitation and food security, and ensure accessible, community-accepted health services, involving traditional leaders for sustainable impact.
