Abstract

UIN Raden Intan Lampung is an Islamic university located at the southernmost tip of Sumatra. The area receives a rainfall ranging between 77-317 mm3 in 2022, and this rainfall must be harnessed and conserved as water reserves for daily needs. The university has a total area of 45 hectares, and it is home to a population of 34,482 individuals. The soil texture in the UIN Raden Intan Lampung campus area is predominantly clay, and the dense soil particles make it challenging to absorb water. Consequently, measures are required to regulate soil moisture levels to facilitate optimal water absorption. One strategy to preserve the water supply on campus is the construction of artificial ponds that capture rainwater. Ten such ponds have been built, covering 21.54% of the total green open space owned. Furthermore, around 8,000 biopore infiltration holes have been installed to maintain groundwater availability and improve soil fertility. The campus also conducts campaigns to promote water conservation and uses water-saving equipment technology. Treated wastewater from ablution activities in mosques is employed for secondary needs such as fish farming activities and irrigation. Ultimately, the preservation of water resources on campus must be sustainable, given the large population of people who depend on water for their daily needs, and ensuring water availability for the future is critical.

Abstract

This research reveals the impact of using Instagram social media on the morals and achievement of students at SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. A quantitative survey method was used with a population of 1012 students, and a sample of 91 respondents was selected using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The results of data analysis using SPSS 16.0 show that the use of Instagram has a significant negative influence on student morals by 12%, which is influenced by the potential for cyberbullying and content that does not comply with ethical values. The use of Instagram also has a negative impact on student learning achievement by 5.5%, caused by impaired concentration and negative social-emotional influences. However, good morals make a positive contribution of 12.3% to student learning achievement, indicating that high discipline and learning motivation can improve academic results. The practical implication is the need for moral education and parental supervision to direct positive social media use for students.

Abstract

As a result of the increased focus on creative mathematical thinking in mathematics education during the covid-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in the need to investigate how to assess mathematical creative thinking skills in online learning environments. As a result, a systematic review was carried out to determine how mathematical creative thinking has been evaluated in the literature. We examined 124 journal articles from SCOPUS, ELSEVIER, WoS, ERIC, and SAGE to analyze specific MCT assessments from four perspectives: assessment of the familiar mathematics context, an indicator of measurement test, assessment of the unfamiliar mathematics context, and measurement test. We discovered that (a) the most familiar mathematics context for assessing mathematical creative thinking is based on students' curriculum according to their class level, and (b) indicators for assessing mathematical creative thinking frequently used open-ended questions to gather information. During this systematic review, we identified research gaps and potential future research topics to conceptualize and assess mathematical creative thinking skills while participating in online learning activities. Researchers and teachers are expected to benefit from the findings, which will aid them in determining the most effective method of teaching and assessing mathematical creative thinking

Abstract

Mathematical representation is essential as the gateway to mastering mathematical literacy. This literature study aims to determine the growth of students' mathematical representation abilities in the last three years. This literature study presents a literature review on the development of mathematical representations, including media, strategies, and measurement instruments to serve as the basis for future mathematical representations. The literature study method used is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review), utilizing a review procedure that refers to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework in the period 2020 to 2022 because the growth in literature studies on mathematical representations is very significant and latest. Data were collected by reviewing 24 Scopus-indexed articles and proceedings from the Scopus database. The study's results reveal that from the 24 selected literature, it can be interpreted if the mathematical representation ability can be improved and fulfills the indicators of mathematical representation itself by providing innovation in media, strategies, and instruments in learning mathematics. The innovations provided can be in the form of technology integration (Geogebra), no longer conventional strategies (RME strategy), and instrument indicators of the representation itself. Thus the ability of students' mathematical representations is no longer included in the low category in solving mathematical problems.
