Abstract

The instability of the economy and increasingly sharp competition in the industry requires a company to further enhance the efficiency of its operations. Treatment method that has been used is still corrective maintenance where engine maintenance activities undertaken to improve and enhance the condition of the engine so as to achieve the standards set at the level tersebut.Besarnya machine downtime which reaches up to 40% each month. Due to the growing number of downtime that occurs it will be increasingly detrimental to the productivity of a company. In this study used methods Realibility Centered Maintenance abbreviated to (RCM), which is to determine the optimal engine maintenance activities for the company. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is an approach that combines maintenance practices and strategies of preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (cm) to maximize the life (life time) and the function of assets / systems / equipment at a minimal cost. Subjects studied machine is the machine Injection Molding, where the focus of engine components that will be examined as many as six parts: Barrel, Piston Injection, Toggle Clamping, Nozzle, Hydro Motor, Hopper. As for the category based on time (TD), the treatment provided in the form of component replacement schedule. Category finding damage (FF) recommended replacement components if the level of damage exceeds tolerable limits. Failure of components that include safety problem 13:33%, Outage System 80.00%, 6.67% Economic System. Of the total minimum downtime obtained Screw interval of 30 days, the crosshead link 11 days, Seal 13-day, 12-day screening. Downtime Screw impairment 37.21%, 41.15% crosshead link, Seal 24.56%, and 29.32% Screening

Abstract

In this digital era, network speed is very important, because nowadays many people use the internet as a companion in various events. Data communication is one of the means to allow several devices to communicate with each other. To simplify and speed up network usage, the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP) protocols are used as the transport layer during data transfer. In running this simulation using the Cisco Packet Tracer simulation application using bus topology as the topology type.

Abstract

Computer networks are an important part of modern life, enabling the efficient exchange of information and resources between devices. One type of network topology that is commonly used is a bus topology. The bus topology has a simple structure and is easy to implement, making it an attractive choice for a variety of applications. The main finding of this research is that the bus topology has several advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of bus topology include low cost, ease of installation, and scalability. Disadvantages of bus topology include limited performance, low reliability, and the potential for data collisions.

Abstract

Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) is a network technology designed to support high-speed data transfer by utilizing small fixed-size data packets called cells. This study aims to analyze the implementation and performance of ATM in the context of the Canva application, a web-based graphic design platform. The study includes a theoretical review of ATM's working principles, advantages, and limitations, as well as the network performance analysis methods used.In this research, we examine how ATM can optimize data transmission in the Canva application, considering the importance of network speed and efficiency in ensuring an optimal user experience. The analysis results show that ATM can provide the high transfer speeds and stability required by the Canva application, especially in managing complex and large-sized graphic data.The conclusion of this study confirms that the implementation of ATM technology in web-based applications like Canva can significantly enhance network performance. This study also offers important insights for further development in integrating advanced network technologies for internet-based applications to support increasing data demands.

Abstract

The electricity distribution network is the backbone of energy supply from power plants to consumers. One important component of the distribution network is the arrester, which serves to protect equipment from sudden voltage surges, such as those caused by lightning strikes. Arresters are designed to withstand overvoltage and protect transformers and other sensitive components from damage. This research uses a case study method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews with technicians involved in network maintenance and field inspections of the condition of arresters in the distribution network of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Cikupa. The research findings indicate that several arresters in the distribution network of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Cikupa receive voltages that do not meet technical specifications, leading to voltage leakage. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that regular replacement of arresters is necessary to maintain the reliability of the electricity distribution network. Voltage leakage caused by discrepancies between incoming voltage and the technical specifications of the arresters has the potential to cause damage to network equipment, particularly transformers.

Abstract

Electric transmission lines have a vital role as a bridge between electrical energy resources and distribution points to final consumers. In classifying transmissions, aspects such as the installation technology used, the voltage level applied, and the physical channel distance are very influential in ensuring overall operational system efficiency. However, this transmission system does not require various challenges that need to be overcome, such as power losses that can occur during the transmission process, technical problems that can arise at any time, and the risk of too much dependence on main connected lines. Dramatic events such as mass power outages in the Java-Bali region in 2019 show how important it is to increase infrastructure capacity, increasing regular maintenance programs. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature analysis study which is used to explore issues related to the electricity transmission system in Indonesia, with the research results underlining the need for increased supervision and policy crisis management as well as carrying out stricter maintenance to maximize electricity availability effectively in the future.

Abstract

Power transmission lines play an important role in distributing electrical energy from power plants to consumers. The reliability of transmission lines is very important to ensure a stable and safe electricity supply. However, various disturbances often occur in transmission lines, both caused by external and internal factors, which can disrupt the operation of the electric power system. This study aims to conduct a literature study on the types of disturbances that occur in transmission lines and identify the causative factors. The method used in this study is a literature study by analyzing various references from books, scientific journals, research reports, and relevant articles. This study identifies several main types of disturbances, such as disturbances due to lightning, strong winds, heavy rain, overload, component failure, and human error. Environmental factors, such as extreme weather and interaction with vegetation, are also common causes of disturbances in transmission lines.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of preventive maintenance of cubicle substations to improve the reliability of the electricity distribution system at PT Haleyora Powerindo. Cubicle substations, as important components in the distribution network, require special attention to prevent unexpected damage and maintain continuity of electricity supply. This research uses literature study, observation, and interview methods with a focus on the stages of maintenance, such as preparation, implementation, and completion, as well as identification of potential causes of damage such as corona, animals, and moisture. With the proper implementation of maintenance, system reliability can be maintained, reducing the risk of disruption, and improving the quality of service to consumers.

Abstract

Traffic congestion is a major challenge in many big cities, including Serang City, Banten Province. This study aims to optimize vehicle flow at a four-way intersection using a traffic light system based on Omron CP1L Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The research method involves simulation and hardware experiments to analyze traffic efficiency. The simulation results show that the PLC system can adjust the duration of traffic lights based on vehicle density, thereby reducing queues and increasing vehicle flow efficiency. This study concludes that the PLC-based approach is effective for more dynamic traffic management and recommends further improvements to the design aspects of indicator lights to ensure signal clarity for road users.

Abstract

Cybersecurity is a major challenge for energy infrastructure in remote areas that rely on distributed power grids. Limited resources and lower levels of monitoring compared to urban areas increase vulnerability to cyberattacks. This study analyzes the key risks faced by power transmission networks in remote areas, including restricted physical access, the use of outdated and vulnerable protocols, and insufficient network segmentation. To address these challenges, this research recommends a layered mitigation strategy, including data encryption, multi-factor authentication, network segmentation, and the adoption of blockchain technology. Additionally, training local staff and regularly updating software are crucial steps in enhancing network security. This study employs a literature review method, gathering and analyzing information from various sources such as books, journals, articles, and previous research findings. Data processing is conducted systematically to identify challenges and applicable solutions to improve the reliability of energy infrastructure in remote areas. The implementation of these recommended strategies is expected to reduce cybersecurity risks and enhance the security of power grids in such regions.
