Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan sesuatu hal yang fundamental dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Peran dasar komunikasi adalah jembatan untuk membangun interaksi sosial. Komunikasi digunakan setiap manusia sebagai sarana dalam berinteraksi sosial, namun beberapa orang terkadang mengalami gangguan dalam berkomunikasi dengan faktor gangguan yang tentunya berbeda-beda. Salah satu orang yang mengalami gangguan komunikasi dalam berinteraksi yaitu anak berkemampuan khusus. Insan Berkemampuan Khusus (atau biasa dikenal oleh masyarakat umum sebagai manusia berkebutuhan khusus) telah resmi dicanangkan pada tanggal 3 Desember 2019, momentum hari Disabilitas Internasional yang jatuh setiap tanggal 3 Desember juga oleh Rumah Autis dianggap tepat untuk dijadikan hari Insan Berkemampuan Khusus atau IBK’s day. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian etnografi komunikasi.Hasil pengamatan dan wawancara yang didapat kemudian dianalisis menggunakan elemen yang terdapat pada etnografi komunikasi yang lebih dikenal dengan kata SPEAKING yang terdiri dari setting/scene, participants, ends, act sequence, keys, instrumentalities, norms of interaction, genre. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa masalah utama dari insan berkemampuan khusus terutama anak autis adalah masalah komunikasi, interaksi sosial dan perilaku. Komunikasi yang digunakan oleh anak autis sangat unik dan menarik serta karakteristik dari autisme ini sangatlah beragam.

Abstract

Autisme adalah gangguan perkembangan yang pervasive (luas, kompleks dan berat) dengan gejala yang muncul (biasanya) sebelum anak berusia 3 tahun. Anak autis memiliki keunikan tersendiri yang dipadukan dengan komunikasi dan tingkah laku khas yang membuat mereka terlihat "berbeda" dari anak normal. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang telah dilakukan adalah melakukan perizinan dan observasi awal serta tindak lanjut observasi di lapangan serta pendampingan selama di dalam kelas (khususnya) dan di luar kelas. Komunikasi yang digunakan untuk anak autis di dalam kelas harus menggunakan suara yang tegas tetapi tidak berteriak karena ada beberapa anak autis yang sangat peka terhadap suara sehingga jika mendengar suara yang keras dapat tiba-tiba menangis atau ketakutan. Hal-hal yang kami jelaskan di depan kelas harus dilakukan berulang kali agar mereka dapat dengan mudah memahaminya serta harus menggunakan kata-kata yang tidak terlalu panjang.

Abstract

AbstractKegiatan praktik yang dilakukan oleh citizen journalism sama halnya denganaktifitas kegiatan jurnalistik yang dilakukan oleh jurnalis professional umumnya,dimana hal yang membedakan hanyalah subjek yang melakukannya yaitumasyarakat umum tanpa berlatar belakang pendidikan jurnalistik. Tujuanpenelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan tayangan citizen journalism NET 10dengan perilaku mahasiswa mengirimkan berita ke NET (Survei: MahasiswaUniversitas Mercu Buana Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi). Metodologi penelitiandalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode penelitiansurvei eksplanatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas MercuBuana Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi sebanyak 923 orang, untuk sampel sebanyak 90responden dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Pengumpulan data dilakukandengan penyebaran kuesioner. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian inimenggunakan accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapathubungan yang kuat antara tayangan citizen journalism NET dengan perilakumahasiswa mengirimkan berita ke NET yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai korelasi0.714 yang terletak pada rentang 0,71 – 0,90 yang artinya hubungan yang kuat.Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuatantara tayangan citizen journalism NET 10 dengan perilaku mahasiswamengirimkan berita ke NET (survei pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu KomunikasiUniversitas Mercu Buana).Kata Kunci : tayangan citizen journalism, perilaku mengirimkan berita, NET 1015AbstractPractice activities done by citizen journalism same thing with activityjournalistic’s activities performed by professional journalists generally, where byit that differentiates a subject which is just do it namely the general public withoutbackground education in journalistic. Themethodology of this research used a quantitative approach and methods of surveyresearch. The population of this research was University of Mercu Buana’sstudents, the Faculty of Communication with the number of 923 student. Thenumber of sample was 90 respondent, calculated by slovin formula. The datacollection used by questionnaire. The technique data collection in this researchused an accidental sampling. The result of this research indicates there arestrongly relationship between citizen journalism’s show in NET 10 with student’sbehaviour to deliver the news to NET demonstrated by correlation value 0.714located range 0.714 – 0.90 which means strong correlation. Abstract

The modern rise of social media has altered the strategies used in political campaigns. Compared to traditional advertising, social media may lower the cost of a campaign. The Zukri-Nasar team effectively used social media for political campaigns for the 2020 local elections in Pelalawan Regency, Riau. Social media generated 30% of the vote because it can spread messages rapidly, widely, and interactively. Political actors utilize social media to develop their self-image. This study is descriptive-qualitative, and the sampling method used was purposive sampling. The informants comprised seven important informants who were part of the winning side in the municipal election in Pelalawan. An informant is someone with reliable knowledge regarding a political campaign. According to the study, Facebook is the most widely used platform for political campaigns because it is the most popular social networking platform in Pelalawan Regency, Riau. Political advertisements featuring 3D caricatures and political orientation are used as social media political campaign techniques. This tactic is a component of a unique, awareness-raising, and personal branding campaign. The candidate’s personal character is presented as accurately as possible on their social media campaign. Furthermore, the political campaign model found in the research was called The Integrative and Collaborative Model of the political campaign.

Abstract

Currently, Tinder is in great demand because it is proven by the presence of several couples who have made it to the stage of marriage. Factors of tension, anxiety, anxiety, shyness to an unattractive appearance make a person reluctant to do self-disclosure when having a face-to-face relationship. This research aims to find out how the motives, experiences, and meaning of self disclosure of mate seekers in finding a life partner through the Tinder application. This research uses a qualitative method with phenomenological approach. The theory in this research was the self-disclosure theory. Data collection techniques in this research were observation, and interviews. This research succeeded in revealing the motives of the informants to open themselves with their Tinder partners, namely to know more deeply and adapt to their Tinder partners. The experience of self-disclosure with a Tinder partner resulted in a positive and enjoyable experience because they could get to know their Tinder partner better. Abstract

Museums are the most representative example of cultural production. Although social media has triggered the attention of scholars, no previous study has classified the main ways in which social media affect museums. Museums must adapt to changing practices and technologies to remain relevant in society. Meanwhile, no transformation has been more visible than the emergence of digital technology such as social media. To preserve Indonesia's indigenous culture, Museum Nasional held a program called “belajar menari” online. This was done online due to the Covid-19 pandemic which not only hit Indonesia but also the world. In Indonesia, during covid-19 pandemic, society is required to #stayathome by the Government. To find out how the contents of the Museum Nasional’s Instagram became an e-publication, the researchers compiled data about the museum program “belajar menari” online during July to September 2021 period. The research aimed to explore Instagram content as a medium of historical education. To define the message's features, a qualitative descriptive content analysis was used as the research approach. The result of this research indicated that this program can indirectly increase the sense of nationalism as well as preserve Indonesian culture.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many people to stay at home. People in Indonesia are encouraged to work from home (WFH) from 2020 until 2022. The WFH has significantly impacted the economy, especially among field workers. The MA cannot promote its product and services during this time. Therefore, the sales are decreasing. This study describes how the MA uses WhatsApp to socialise their product and services to seek potential customers amid the pandemic. This research involved descriptive qualitative methods, with five MAs as respondents. This study showed that the MAs maximised WhatsApp in socialising funeral products to customers during the pandemic. MAs used WhatsApp features such as "Profile Picture" and "Status" to attract people by keeping their contact numbers. The funeral product details were later socialised in texts, photos, and videos funeral prices will never be mentioned by the MA unless potential customers are asking about it.

Abstract

Developments in technology and the internet have had a major influence on the journalism industry, including journalistic photography by photo journalists. Technological developments are not only in photography technology but also in the medium of publication. The rapid digitalization and development of social media gave rise to the term "everyone can take pictures". This then triggers its own challenges and opportunities for photojournalists. The purpose of this study is to explain the phenomena that occur as well as describe the challenges and opportunities for photojournalists in the new media era. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out by means of observation and interviews, as well as other supporting documents. The result of this research is that challenges come no longer only from fellow professions but more broadly, namely the audience. Photojournalists must be able to adapt to technological developments in order to maintain their existence. The presence of new media also brings benefits for photojournalists to be able to develop themselves as well as their photographic works.Keywords: Photojournalist; Journalistic Photography; New Media; Digitization Abstract Perkembangan teknologi dan internet telah membawa pengaruh besar pada industri jurnalistik, tidak terkecuali fotografi  jurnalistik yang dilakukan pewarta foto. Perkembangan teknologi itu bukan hanya pada teknologi fotografinya tapi juga medium publikasinya. Pesatnya digitalisasi dan perkembangan media sosial memunculkan istilah semua orang bisa memotret. Hal ini lantas memicu tantangan dan peluang tersendiri bagi pewarta foto. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan fenomena yang terjadi juga menggambarkan terkait tantangan dan peluang bagi pewarta foto di era media baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara obervasi dan wawancara, serta dokumen pendukung lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah tantangan datang bukan lagi hanya dari sesama profesi tapi lebih luas yakni khalayak. Pewarta foto harus mampu adaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi untuk tetap mempertahankan eksistensinya. Abstract

Elections are an important moment in the democratic life of a country, where the people have the opportunity to elect its leader and deputy. In an increasingly advanced digital age, social media has become a significant platform in influencing public opinion and shaping political narratives. The rapid development of technology must also be accompanied by the character of social media users, so that the progress of the times will be in harmony. In order to receive and disseminate information through technology based on real facts. This study aims to provide a description of the phenomenon of spreading hoax news, namely buzzers ahead of the 2024 election from social media, as well as how to respond to the hoax news. This research method uses qualitative descriptive, where this method uses qualitative approach research methods in order to describe and see data and facts about hoaxes and how to overcome them. The result is if this cheap and easy technological advancement becomes a determining factor when accessing information and social media connoisseurs become smarter when using information, namely in understanding media literacy which is often considered as real truth news. The role of the government in controlling its dissemination is the existence of the right legal policy that has been regulated and listed in the ITE Law. The promotion procedure also reflects the homogenization (similarity) of characteristics between account holders and followers. Social unrest is caused by the rise of fake news in Indonesia. Social media users can respond to this by becoming social media users who are more wise and shrewd, and careful in disseminating information.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi yang mempengaruhi cara berbisnis mengharuskan perusahaan untuk dapat beradaptasi dan melakukan transformasi dalam bisnisnya. Transformasi bisnis melalui komunikasi pemasaran berbasis media digital ditargetkan oleh pemerintah Indonesia sebanyak 30 juta UMKM di Indonesia yang akan go digital pada tahun 2024. Studi dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, membahas tentang bagaimana teknologi komunikasi dan informasi mempengaruhi UMKM Omah Ecoprint by Elis Kumara Jati di Bantul, Yogyakarta, dan bagaimana UMKM tersebut mengimplementasikan lima tingkatan janji yang dikemukakan oleh Don Tapshcott, yaitu "Individu Yang Efektif", "Tim Yang Berkualitas Tinggi", "Organisasi Yang Terintegrasi", " Perusahaan yang berkembang luas ", dan "Bisnis Yang Tersambung Melalui Internet", untuk menciptakan model bisnis baru yang sukses.
