Abstract

This study is grounded in the persistent disparity in the quality of higher education in Indonesia, which has not kept pace with its quantitative expansion, particularly in the context of regional inequalities that influence institutional management practices and student learning motivation. The primary objective of this research is to explore the relationship between higher education management practices and student learning motivation, as well as to identify contextual factors that moderate this relationship across different provinces. This study employs a qualitative approach with a multi-site strategy, utilizing in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, observations, and document analysis involving students, academic leaders, administrative staff, and policymakers. The findings indicate that participatory leadership, flexible academic policies, adequate resource distribution, and strong institutional support contribute significantly to enhancing student learning motivation, with variations influenced by regional economic conditions and infrastructure. This study contributes to the integration of motivational perspectives and higher education governance, offering practical implications for the development of more adaptive, context-sensitive, and student-centered higher education management practices.

Abstract

This study aims to determine The Influence of Learning Motivation and Self-Concept on Students’ Achievement in Islamic Religious Education at Al-Kautsar Islamic Boarding School TeboThis research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The population consisted of 90 students, and total sampling technique was applied. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination with the help of SPSS. The results revealed that: (1) learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on students’ achievement in Islamic Religious Education, (2) self-concept has a positive and significant effect on students’ achievement, and (3) learning motivation and self-concept simultaneously have a significant effect with a contribution of 12.4%. In conclusion, learning motivation and self-concept are important factors in improving students’ academic achievement. The implication of this study highlights the importance of enhancing learning motivation and developing positive self-concept through effective teaching strategies, guidance, and supportive educational environments. Abstract

Akhlak merupakan suatu hambatan atau pun kondisi dimana siswa seringkali melakukan tindakan melenceng atau juga melakukan bullying. Masalah bullying atau perundungan sering terjadi di sekolah, masalah ini merupakan masalah penting yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian yang serius di kalangan para pendidik. Dikatakan demikian, karena bullying yang dialami peserta didik di sekolah akan membawa dampak negatif, baik terhadap diri sendiri, maupun terhadap lingkungannya. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan di MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak, pihak sekolah mengadakan kegiatan dakwah mingguan khususnya mengkaji kitab Tanbihul Ghafilin untuk mencegah terjadinya bullying di MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui upaya pihak sekolah dalam mengatasi tindakan perundungan atau bullying di sekolah dengan cara mengkaji kitab Tanbihul Ghafilin pada siswa MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak. Dengan menggunakan metode peneletian teknik kualitatif. Menggunakan teknik pencarian data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil wawancara yang peneliti lakukan terhadap beberapa subjek seperti PKM III dan kepala sekolah. Upaya yang dilakukan pihak sekolah dalam mengatasi tindakan bullying adalah dengan mengadakan dakwah mingguan yang mengkaji kitab Tanbihul Ghafilin.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation and revitalization of the Recitation Between Maghrib and Isha or Pengajian antara Maghrib dan Isya (PAMI) as a mosque-based Islamic education model in shaping the piety character of school-age children and identifying challenges and strategies for its development in the digital era, in support of the SDGs goals in the field of quality education. Theoretical framework: This study uses the concept of character education in Islam, which emphasizes the integration of faith, worship, and morals, as well as a community-based educational approach that places mosques as the center of moral and spiritual development. Literature review:  The literature shows that mosques play an important role as non-formal Islamic educational institutions in the formation of children's character, but face modern challenges such as the influence of digital technology and low participation of the younger generation. Methods: The study used a qualitative approach with ethnographic design through observation, interviews, and documentation at the Riyadhul Abidin Mosque, Jambi City, with data analysis of Miles and Huberman models. Results: The results of the study show that PAMI plays an important role in instilling the value of faith, getting used to worship practices, and fostering children's morals. However, its implementation faces challenges in the form of the influence of digital technology, low participation of adolescents, and limited learning methods. Implications: Revitalization of PAMI through method innovation, parental involvement, and technological adaptation can strengthen mosque-based character education. Novelty: This study highlights the revitalization of PAMI as a non-formal Islamic education model that is adaptive to the digital era and relevant to the SDGs agenda of quality education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of learning environment and learning styles on the learning quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students at SMP Negeri 22 Batang Hari. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design using a survey method. The population consisted of 160 students, while the sample included 114 students. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software. The results showed that the learning environment had a significant effect on students’ learning quality in PAI, with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05, thus the first hypothesis (H1) was accepted. The effect was positive, indicating that a better learning environment leads to an improvement in students’ learning quality. Learning styles were also found to have a significant effect on learning quality, with a significance value of 0.023 < 0.05, so the second hypothesis (H2) was accepted; however, its influence was relatively weaker compared to the learning environment. Furthermore, both learning environment and learning styles simultaneously had a significant effect on learning quality, with a significance value of < 0.001 < 0.05, thus the third hypothesis (H₃) was accepted. The coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.127 or 12.7%, while the remaining 87.3% was influenced by other variables not included in this study.
