Abstract

Abstract

Ecosystem services are the benefits that humans obtain from ecosystems. With the growing demand to implement sustainable development, the need for information on ecosystem services is increasing as a consideration in various policies and development planning. In response to this need, the method that is often used is the preparation of ecosystem services maps using an approach obtained from land cover data. Many people think this method works well and saves a lot of time and money, especially for studying places on a global, regional, or national level, where it's easy to get data on land cover. The point of this study is to look at how the results of the 2018 and 2022 food supply ecosystem services maps compare. These maps were made by experts who thought about how ecosystem services could be used in different types of land and ecoregions. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with the pairwise comparison method is used to figure out how much ecosystem services are worth in relation to land cover and ecoregions. The island of Bali was used as a study area, and food supply was the type of ecosystem service that was looked at. Ecoregion data results for 2022 with the high class being more dominant and having an area of 385,339.19 ha or the equivalent of 66.67%. Land cover in 2018 produced a dominant high class with an area of 288,931.82 ha or the equivalent of 48.74%. The land cover results in 2022 are predominantly high class with an area of 289,039.25 ha or the equivalent of 50.01% of the total area of the island of Bali. The analysis results from the combination of ecoregion and land cover in 2022 are predominantly high class with an area of 182,039.65 ha or the equivalent of 31.49%. Several factors can explain the connection between ecosystem processes and the benefits they provide, which can get around or lessen the problems with using land cover data. Keywords: Ecosystem Services; Expert Judgement; Ecoregion; Land Use Based Proxy

Abstract

Analysis of Factors Affecting Indonesia Tobacco Exports to the United States. Tobacco is one of Indonesia's main export commodities in international trade. Tobacco exports have good prospects as a source of foreign exchange and are able to create job opportunities and improve people's welfare in the production processing process, but in the last 10 years the volume of tobacco exports has tended to decline. The purpose of this study is to analyze the provinces in Indonesia that have tobacco as a leading commodity and analyze the factors that influence Indonesia's tobacco exports to the United States. The data used is time series data for a period of 20 years (2000 – 2019) and analyzed by multiple linear regression using SPSS 26.0 and Eviews 12 programs. The results showed that the provinces in Indonesia whose base sector was tobacco were West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and South Sulawesi. The factors that affect the volume of Indonesia’s tobacco exports to the United States in the long term are Indonesia’s tobacco production and US real GDP, while in the short term are Indonesia’s tobacco production and world tobacco prices. In an effort to increase the volume of Indonesia’s tobacco exports to the United States, it is necessary to pay attention to the involvement of stakeholders who have influence and interests so that an active role is needed between tobacco agribusiness stakeholders from input to output.

Demand Analysis of Ground Coffee in Denpasar City. Demand for ground coffee in Denpasar is uncertain because there is no definite data that can describe the level of public consumption of ground coffee. People's tastes are very relative and are changing over time. Consumers in buying a product will often buy more at a low price and will reduce purchases of a product at a high price and switch to substitute goods for that good. The purpose of this study is to analyze the affectdemand factors for ground coffee in Denpasar City and the effect of changes in ground coffee prices, prices of other goods and income on changes in ground coffee demand in Denpasar City. The data used is quantitative data obtained from secondary and primary data sources. Methods of data collection is done by the method of questionnaires and literature study. This study used a purposive sampling technique of 100 samples which were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the Cobb-Douglas model. The independent variables in this study are the price of ground coffee (X1), the price of tea (X2), the price of instant coffee (X3), the price of granulated sugar (X4), income (X5), and the number of family members (X6). The function of the model is lnY= 2.066 ¬ 0.561 lnX1** + 0.852 lnX2** + 0.123 lnX3 ¬ 0.463 lnX4 + 0.171 lnX5* + 0.624 lnX6**. Factors that affectdemand for ground coffee in Denpasar City are the price of ground coffee, the price of tea and the number of family members. Abstract

The Comparison of Vannamei Shrimp Farming Income with Traditional System and HDPE Lined Ponds in Jembrana Regency Shrimp farming has become a priority in the development of aquaculture in Indonesia because that possesses a high economic value. Vannamei shrimp was recently introduced as a priority commodity in Indonesia. Busmetik is one of the intensive shrimp farming technology using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastics as inner lining ponds. However, intensive shrimp farming was only able to be practiced by large-scale farmers because it requires a greater amount of costs. This research aims to (1) identify the comparison of vannamei shrimp farming income with traditional system and plastic lined-ponds, and (2) to find out the obstacles faced by farmers in vannamei shrimp farming. This study was conducted in Jembrana regency. The site location was determined purposely because it is a center for vannamei shrimp production in Bali Province. The selection of respondents was done by using a proportional random sampling technique with 26 traditional shrimp farmers and 8 plastic lined-pond shrimp farmers. The method of analysis used in this study is comparative analysis of farm income, R/C Ratio, and descriptive analysis. Farming income is obtained in one season of production with an average of 75 days of cultivation. The results showed that the average income of traditional shrimp farmers was Rp. 17,969,856 per hectare per season, while the average income of lined ponds shrimp farmers at Rp. 135,623,051 per hectare per season. R/C ratio of traditional shrimp farmers is 1,22 whereas the lined-ponds shrimp farmers is 1,33 and statistic test result is significant.
