Abstract

Climate change is an unavoidable thing due to global warming which has a wide impact on various aspect of life. Changes of rainfall patterns, increas of the frequency of extreme climate and an increase in air and sea levels are serious impacts of climate change that will affect the agricultural sector. For Indonesia, the threat of climate change will have a serious impact on achieving sustainable developmenttargets. For the Bali Province, climate change causes disruption of water supply for various sectors, including agriculture sector. This is indicated by the decrease of land area that was very suitable for paddy rice untill 20% as long in the period 1990-2009. Due to changes in rainfall by climate change, the current cropping pattern of rice must also be adjusted. In an effort to address climate change, can be done through the plant of low emission varieties, use of organic fertilizers, adjusting cultivation techniques through water and land management and socializing the importance of agricultural insurance for educing farmers' risk due to climate change.

Abstract

Coffee is the mainstay of Balinese exports. But the productivity of Balinese Arabica coffee is still low. The sustainability of Bali Arabica Coffee farming is threatened. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors driving the sustainability of Arabica coffee farming in Bali. The research location is the Arabica coffee production center in Bali Province. The method of determining the number of sampling based on the Slovin formula with an error rate of 15% is 52 farmers. The method of determining sampling is based on random sampling. The economic dimension shows that Arabica coffee farm income in Bali in 2019 per average area of ??arable land by farmers (0.86 ha) is Rp 22,820,376. Contribution of income from Arabica coffee farming in Bali to family income is 69.07%. Farming Experience (X22), farmer age (X20), and farmer education (X21) are components of Social Factors. Making rorak (X13), number of family members (X23), replanting (X12), use of quality local seeds (X11), farmers know the condition of their land (X10) representing environmental factors. The use of shade (X14), plant age (X5), use of clean water (X9), and harvesting of red picks (X19) are the components forming the Technology Factor.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to synthesize sulfanilamide analogue from natural products papaverine alkaloid. Sulfanilamide is known as an antibiotic which has been used for treatment of infection. Theoretically papaverine could be converted to be sulfanilamide analogue by two steps reactions, first sulfonation of papaverine by sulfonic acid to produce sulfonyl chloride and second reaction of with ammoniac to produce. The formation of this product was analyzed by analytical thin layer chromatography and FT-IR. This analysis showed the formation of product quite difficult since the compound was easily reacted with water to form compound. Infrared spectra supported the formation of which showed vibrations at 1153.4 and 1265.2 Cm-1 due to absorption of sulfonyl group and at 3433.1 Cm-1 due to absorption of –OH group.

Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan Sumber Daya Manusia dalam pelaksanaannya menghadapi banyak kendala terutama  dalam  hal  sarana  dan  prasarana  terutama  bagi  sekolah-sekolah  swasta  di  pedesaan Lombok  Barat.  Salah  satunya  adalah  SMA  IT  Al  Kamal  NW  Narmada  yang  terletak  di  Desa Golong Kecamatan Narmada, Lombok Barat. Sekolah yang berdiri tahun  2008 ini belum memiliki fasilitas  ruang  dan  alat  laboratorium.  Hal  ini  sangat  menyulitkan  siswa  untuk  dapat  memahami konsep-konsep  IPA  secara  lebih  mendalam  tanpa  disertai  praktikum.  Sehingga  perlu  dilakukan inovasi  dengan  memanfaatkan  barang-barang  bekas  yang  mudah  diperoleh  untuk  dijadikan  alat peraga  sederhana.  Salah  satu  inovasi  yang  telah  dilakukan  adalah  perancangan  dan  pembuatan sendiri  alat  praktikum  destilasi  sederhana,  untuk  membantu  siswa  memahami  konsep  destilasi serta penerapannya dalam industri. Diharapkan pengabdian ini akan meningkatkan kreatifitas dan minat  para  siswa/siswi  SMA  IT  Al  Kamal  untuk  mengembangkan  penggunaan  alat  destilasi sederhana tersebut dalam bidang praktis seperti pertanian sehingga dapat juga menigkatkan jiwa kewirausahaan siswa.Kata kunci : alat destilasi sederhana, praktikum, wirausahaAbstract: Improvement  of  human  resources  faces  many  challenges,  especially  in  terms  of facilities and infrastructure, especially for private schools in rural, West Lombok. One of the high schools that face the same problem is the High School IT Al Kamal NW Narmada located in the village  ofGolong  District  of  Narmada,  Lombok  Barat.  School  was  established  in  2008  but  have no adequate  classroom  facilities  and  laboratory  equipment.  It  is  very  difficult  for  students  to understand  science  concepts  in  more  depth  without  laboratory  work  activity. Therefore  it  needs innovation  for  simple  laboratory  work  activity  by  utilizing  second-hand  goods  that  readilyavailable.  The  simple  innovation  that  has  been  introduced  is  to  design  and  manufacture  simple distillation  apparatus  in  order  to  help  students  understand  the  concept  of  distillation  and  its application  in  the  industry.  This  approach  is  expected  to  increase  creativity  and  interest  of  the student especially from SMA IT Al Kamal to develop simple destilation apparatus for practical purposes (e.g in agriculture) so that it is espected that student has entrepreneurs skills. Keywords :simple distillation device,  laboratory work, entrepreneur

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi senyawa sinamaldehid dengan menggunakan kromatografi kolom. Penelitian dilakukan di kantor Senyawa Standar Indonesia. Batang kering tanaman kayu manis (Cinnamomum burmanii) telah diekstraksi dengan menggunakan pelarut dichlorometane. Fraksinasi ekstrak DCM menggunakan kromatografi kolom dengan perbandingan eluen 1:1 yaitu n-heksan : DCM, menghasilkan sebanyak 20 fraksi mayor. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) n-heksan : DCM telah dihasilkan 8 fraksi yang diklasifikasi berdasarkan area spot yang sama. Ada 3 fraksi yaitu fraksi A (10,11), B (12,13,14) C (16,18,17,19). Hasil identifikasi menggunakan GC-MS spectrometer menunjukkan bahwa fraksi yang mengandung sinamaldehid adalah fraksi B dengan porsentase sebanyak 71,36 %. Keywords: Sinamaldehid, fraksinasi, KLT, kromatografi kolom, GC-MS.

Abstract

One of the factors that affects the detection system or face recognition is lighting. Image color processing can help the face recognition system in poor lighting conditions. In this study, homomorphic filtering and intensity normalization methods used to help improve the accuracy of face image detection. The experimental results show that the non-uniform of the illumination of the face image can be uniformed using the intensity normalization method with the average value of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) obtained from the whole experiment is 22.05314 and the average Absolute Mean Brightness Error (AMBE) value obtained is 6.147787. The results showed that homomorphic filtering and intensity normalization methods can be used to improve the detection accuracy of a face image.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is disease with a high prevalence rate and continuously increase in Indonesia. So some researchers began to glance at natural rescource for prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus. Clove Flower (Syzygium aromaticum) contains eugenol that can chemically lower blood sugar levels. The aimed of this research is to know the effect of eugenol on pancreas histology of diabetic rats. Clove flowers was extracted used maseration method use n-hexan and eugenol was isolated tested with TLC. Alloxan-induced rats were dosed 125 mg / kg BW IP and then the eugenol was administered in dosage 10 mg / kg BW compared with glibenclamid 1,35 mg /Kg BW orally for 14 days. Observation of pancreatic histology results were made pancreatic preparations using Hematoxilin Eosin (HE) staining. The results showed that alloxan-induced rats had pancreatic cell damage. How ever, after being treated with Glibenclamide and Eugenol showed the improvement of damage organs. Giving the eugenol at a dose of 15 mg / kg BW showed the most significant improvement.

Abstract

Masalah abrasi dan erosi sering terjadi pada pantai atau sungai, tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik abrasi dan erosi. Untuk menanggulanginya dengan perencanaan yang teliti dan perlu diketahui bagaimana memilih bahan geosynthetics. Pada penggunaannya, karena bentuk geosynthetics dapat dibagi menjadi geotextile, geomembrane, geolinear element, geogrid dan geocomposite. Pilihan bahan tersebut umumnya berdasarkan karakteristik teknik bahan geosynthetics. Karakteristik teknik tersebut meliputi antara lain karakteristik fisis (physical characteristics), mekanis (mechanical characteristics), dan hidrolis (hydraulic characteristics). Pada Kawasan Pantai Lebih di Kabupaten Gianyar dipergunakan tempat pariwisata, pemukiman, persawahan, lahan perkebunan dan kegiatan keagamaan secara umum yang memeluk Agama Hindhu. Abrasi pada pantai mengakibatkan kerusakan yang terjadi pada fasilitas umum maupun harta benda milik masyarakat.Untuk meminimalkan kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh abrasi. Karakteristik tanahnya dengan topografi datar, subur dan sebagian tanah bercampur dengan pasir yang berwarna coklat, sedangkan pada lapisan atas memiliki komposisi sebagian besar tanah pasir dengan diameter butirannya bervariasi, derajat kejenuhan pasir basah, sebagian kerikil, batu – batu yang mempunyai bongkahan besar dan campur dengan tanah, permeabilitas tanah pasir besar. Penanggulangan abrasi pada Pantai Lebih Kabupaten Gianyar mempergunakan Geotextile dengan karakteristik yaitu : Geotextile Woven yang mempunyai Tensile Strength 8 – 800 (kN/m2), Maximum Extension σ = 5 – 35 (kN/m2), Apparent Opening Size(AOS) = 0.05-2.50 mm, Volume Water permeability = 5-2000 litres/m2/S*, Unit Weight =100-1300 g/m2.

Abstract

Kabupaten Banyuwangi merupakan salah satu wilayah di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang daya tarik wisatanya sudah mulai berkembang, daya tarik wisata De Djawatan di Desa Benculuk merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang menjadikan hutan pohon trembesi sebagai komoditas unggulannya, pada tahun 2018 sampai 2019 jumlah pengunjung mengalami peningkatan, dan seharusnya hal tersebut mempengaruhi kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitarnya, oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mengetahui kendala pengembangan daya tarik wisata De Djawatan, (2) Mengetahui pengaruh sosial dan ekonomi daya tarik wisata De Djawatan terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat. Data yang diambil untuk penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif, yang diperoleh melalui wawancara. Penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan Maret hingga April 2021, dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kendala pada pengembangan daya tarik wisata De Djawatan adalah dari tingkat kebersihan, jumlah fasilitas umum, dan partisipasi pengembangan dari pihak swasta. (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel sosial dan ekonomi terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat
