Abstract

In the context of human resources development (HRD), the role of training management personnel is crucial in ensuring the effectiveness and success of training programs [1]. This article aims to delve deeper into the roles and characteristics of the four main groups of training management personnel: instructors, educators, educational staff, and other personnel. Instructors, as the frontline in the teaching and learning process, play a crucial role in delivering content and facilitating learning. They not only possess adequate technical expertise in their respective fields but also have good communication skills to deliver information in an engaging and meaningful way to training participants. Educators, often integral parts of the teaching team, are responsible for curriculum planning, development, and management. They design effective learning strategies, develop relevant evaluation tools, and are responsible for continuous monitoring and improvement of training programs. Educational staff, on the other hand, are responsible for the administrative and operational management of training programs. They plan and organize training activities, manage facilities and available resources, and ensure that all administrative aspects run smoothly to support the smooth implementation of programs. In addition to these three main groups of training management personnel, there are also other personnel who support the implementation of training programs. This includes administrative staff handling general administration, technicians responsible for facility maintenance, and other facilitators who assist in the implementation of training activities. Through a deeper understanding of the roles and characteristics of each group of training management personnel, it is hoped that training institutions can improve the overall effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of the programs they offer, thereby making significant contributions to HRD and organizational quality improvement [ 4].

Abstract

Leaf diseases in tomato plants can significantly reduce crop yields and threaten agricultural sustainability. This study proposes a multi-class classification approach for tomato leaf diseases using transfer learning with pre-trained CNN architectures, specifically DenseNet121 and DenseNet169. The dataset used is a subset of PlantVillage, consisting of six disease classes and healthy leaves, with preprocessing steps including image augmentation and resizing. The training strategy involves two phases: feature extraction and fine-tuning, optimized using the Adam algorithm and categorical cross-entropy loss function. Evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score show that the DenseNet121 model achieves the best performance, reaching an accuracy of 96.23%, followed by MobileNetV2 with 92.89%. Loss curves and confusion matrix analysis confirm that the model performs classification tasks with stability and high precision, despite some misclassifications between visually similar disease classes. This study demonstrates that transfer learning with DenseNet—particularly DenseNet121 is effective for automatic and efficient classification of various tomato leaf diseases, offering potential for real-world implementation as a computer vision-based plant disease diagnosis system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation and supervision processes in the Islamic education environment. The role of supervisors is still considered negligible, especially in management and academic supervisions. There have been no serious efforts by the government to improve the supervisors’ performances. The recruitment process is also not unchanging in accordance with the standards set, even though work guidelines have been made. In the administrative aspects, they are more prominent than the aspects of services guidance of teachers’ professionalism. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach where a purposive sampling was used. The research informants included the head of the regional office of Ministry of Religious Affair in Pekanbaru, the head of the Islamic education department, the head of the supervisory team, the head and teachers of madrasah. Data collection techniques used interview, focus group discussion, and documentation. The data was analyzed by using Matthew and A. Michael Huberman’s model by reducing, presenting, and verifying the data. The study showed that the supervision process in Indonesia through three stage; the input stage where there was a lack of sources, and the process stage where supervision was carried out oriented to the instrument, and the output stage using an administrative approach. The study also found that the problems with supervision in Indonesia included lack of training at the input stage, lack of financial support at the process stage, and problems in the organizational structure at the output stage. It also found that the reconstruction of supervision in Indonesia carried out at the input and process stages was policy support, while at the output stage a restructuring was needed.

Abstract

Rapid changes in the global economy and technological disruption require companies to continuously adapt to a dynamic external environment. This article aims to comprehensively examine the use of PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, and SWOT methods in business strategy analysis in Indonesia over the last five years. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, articles published between 2021 and 2026 were collected from Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda databases, with a total of 25 articles analyzed. The main findings of this review indicate that although PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, and SWOT remain relevant, these methods are often applied separately without adequate integration. This study highlights the need for a more holistic and integrative approach in analyzing external factors that influence business strategies. The article suggests that companies should combine these three methods to obtain a more comprehensive perspective and achieve sustainable competitive advantage.
