Abstract

Abstract

The spiritual doctrine of Manunggaling Kawula Gusti in Javanese Kejawen mysticism emphasizes inner union between servant (kawula) and God (Gusti) yet raises theological concerns from Islamic tauhid perspective regarding essential unity. This study critically examines the doctrine's origins, concepts, and compatibility with Islamic monotheism. Employing a qualitative literature study method with descriptive analysis, the population comprises primary Kejawen texts (e.g., Zoetmulder, Simuh) and Islamic theological sources (e.g., Ibn Taimiyyah, Al-Ghazali); purposive sampling targets thematic relevance. Instruments include textual documents, analyzed via content and comparative analysis with source triangulation. Findings reveal conceptual overlaps in spiritual purification and fanāʾ (ego annihilation) but fundamental divergence: Kejawen implies potential ontological merger, rejected by tauhid upholding Creator-creation distinction. Conclusion advocates symbolic reinterpretation within Sunni Sufism for cultural accommodation without doctrinal deviation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the student well-being profile of Generation Alpha in the context of Islamic elementary education to map the factors contributing to learning happiness. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a case study design involving 29 fifth-grade students at an Islamic Elementary School in Salatiga. Data were collected using a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the mean and percentage of achievement. The findings indicate that the overall student well-being is in the “happy” category, with a collective achievement rate of 77% and an average score of 3.04. The highest scores were recorded in “pride in achievement” (3.72) and “meaning of school for the future” (3.66), while “task independence” received the lowest score (2.00). This study concludes that while students feel happy and find meaning in their education, there is a significant need for instructional strategies that foster greater autonomy and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Inclusive adaptive physical education has emerged as a critical focus within global educational policy, particularly in advancing equitable access for students with special needs. This study aims to synthesize current knowledge on the politics and implementation of inclusive adaptive physical education policies from 2020 to 2025. Using a systematic literature review approach guided by the PRISMA 2020 protocol, 53 peer-reviewed articles were analyzed through mixed methods, combining bibliometric mapping with thematic content analysis. Results reveal a sharp increase in publications peaking in 2022, influenced by global equity movements and the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by a decline suggesting research fatigue or a shift toward practice-oriented studies. Conceptually, the literature is dominated by traditional paradigms such as Universal Design for Learning and the social model of disability, which prioritize curriculum flexibility, teacher training, and access to physical activity. However, gaps remain in addressing emerging dimensions like intersectionality, cultural responsiveness, and institutional reform. The findings also highlight that implementation is frequently educator-centric, potentially neglecting broader structural and community-based factors. This study contributes to the existing knowledge base by offering a synthesized framework that integrates global policy, conceptual foundations, and practical mechanisms, while also identifying the limitations of current approaches. The results underscore the need for more context-sensitive, inclusive, and collaborative policy designs. Future research should engage in longitudinal and cross-cultural inquiries, incorporate diverse stakeholder voices, and build international networks to ensure the sustainability and impact of inclusive adaptive physical education practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the internalization of character values through the BERSERI (Clean, Healthy, Literacy, and Istighosah) Friday Habbit at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah as a school culture–based model of character education. The study aims to explain how routine religious, literacy, and health practices contribute to students’ character formation. A qualitative descriptive design was applied at MI Hidayatun Najah Tuban. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and school leaders, and document analysis. Data credibility was ensured through triangulation, and inductive thematic analysis was employed to interpret the findings. Results show that the BERSERI Friday Habit effectively integrates character education into daily school life. Clean and healthy activities develop discipline, responsibility, and environmental awareness; literacy sessions strengthen critical thinking and learning motivation; and istighosah enhances spiritual awareness, emotional stability, and moral conduct. The program also fosters a supportive school culture marked by collective responsibility, religious atmosphere, and positive social interaction. Overall, the BERSERI program offers a practical model for sustainable character internalization in Islamic primary education.

Abstract

In an increasingly complex business environment, the quality of audit disclosures has become a critical concern for stakeholders, regulators, and the accounting profession, as weaknesses in auditor competence and organizational systems continue to undermine the reliability of financial reporting. This study aims to analyze the effect of auditor knowledge deficiency, auditor work experience, and internal control systems on the quality of audit disclosure in Public Accounting Firms. This research employs a mixed method approach with an explanatory sequential design, where the quantitative stage is conducted first through questionnaires distributed to 45 auditors and audit managers, followed by a qualitative stage using in-depth interviews to strengthen the interpretation of the findings. Quantitative analysis is done using the SEM-PLS method to examine the relationships between variables, while qualitative analysis is used to explore the processes and conditions influencing audit disclosure quality. The results indicate that auditor knowledge, work experience, and internal control systems have a positive and significant effect on audit disclosure quality. Auditor knowledge plays a role in determining the accuracy and relevance of disclosed information, work experience enhances professional judgment and the preparation of audit narratives, and internal control systems ensure the availability of accurate and traceable data. The integration of quantitative and qualitative findings shows that audit disclosure quality is formed through the synergy between auditor competence and organizational system effectiveness. This study contributes to understanding the factors affecting audit disclosure quality and highlights the importance of improving auditor competence and strengthening internal control systems in modern auditing practices.
