Abstract

This study explores the application of the concept of "khairu ummah" through non-formal education at the Sabilurrosyad Islamic Boarding School, Malang, with a focus on the role of religious traditions in shaping individual character. The background of this study is driven by the decline in morals and erroneous understanding of religion in Indonesia, which is evident in social events such as violence and religious conflict. This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies, involving observation, interviews, and documentation to analyze how religious traditions, such as congregational prayer and tadarus Al-Qur'an, contribute to the formation of khairu ummah character. The results of the study indicate that the application of religious traditions consistently and structured is effective in shaping individuals who meet the criteria of khairu ummah, which includes the integration of the values of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar and iman billah in everyday life. This study emphasizes the importance of expanding socialization and implementing the principle of khairu ummah to overcome the decline in morals and understanding of religion in society.

Abstract

This study examines the form of curriculum integration between the Amanatul Ummah Islamic Boarding School and KH Abdul Chalim University, Mojokerto, focusing on integrating Islamic moderation-based religious education and academic education that accommodates social and cultural diversity. The background of this study is the need to integrate spiritual values and social diversity into the educational curriculum, which is increasingly relevant in an increasingly pluralistic world. The primary focus of this study is to explore how these two institutions form curriculum integration as a component that teaches pluralism, tolerance, and respect for differences in the context of higher education and pesantren. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques to study the two institutions' curriculum integration process. The findings of this study indicate that Pesantren Amanatul Ummah emphasises moderate religious education based on yellow books and students' social activities. At the same time, KH Abdul Chalim University integrates pluralism values in formal courses that are more global, such as Aswaja and multicultural education. The results of this study indicate that curriculum integration in both institutions creates an inclusive and moderate education, which complements each other to form a more tolerant generation, and is ready to face social diversity. The implication of this finding is that the holistic curriculum integration model can be the basis for Islamic education in the future, with recommendations for further research on the challenges of implementation and the role of technology in multicultural teaching in Islamic boarding schools and universities.

Abstract

Improving the quality of basic education has become a strategic issue in the global and national development agenda. This study specifically investigates the implementation processes, thematic focus areas, and outcomes of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) in Indonesian basic education.  Employing a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, the study  synthesizes 45 papers from 2015 to 2025. These articles were were selected using  purposive sampling from Google Scholar, DOAJ, SINTA, and Scopus, based on predefined inclusion criteria (articles focused on IQAS in Indonesian basic education) and exclusion criteria (non-empirical papers, non-basic education levels, or unrelated quality systems). Data were collected through document analysis and examined using thematic analysis. The results are: (1) quality certification and accreditation mechanisms, (2) stakeholder participation and school leadership, (3) capacity building and professional development, and (4) integration of digital technologies in quality assurance. Most of the reviewed studies employed qualitative case study approaches. The implementation of IQAS has contributed to strengthening a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing student learning outcomes, and improving equity in access to quality education. These findings imply the need for stronger support for school leadership, greater collaboration in quality management practices, and systematic digital integration into quality assurance processes. The study contributes to the growing literature on education quality assurance and offers practical insights for school administrators and policymakers. Future research should examine implementation challenges in under-resourced or remote areas and evaluate the long-term effectiveness of digital tools in IQAS practices.

Abstract

Islam that is displayed by mainstream groups is now getting great onslaguht from non-mainstream from transnational circles with diverse faces, this second group is more violent and has a more structured and massive regeneration system and tends to dominate strategic institutions in Indonesia, with a fiercer appearance. and openly, even carrying the caliphate system in government, and trying to enter the national political arena as a strategic vehicle. On the other hand, the mainstream group began to feel and received strong pressure from the non-mainstream so that it began to step aside, even though it had long colored the nation and state of Indonesia, the other side of the non-mainstream group began to take center stage. However, it turns out that there is still hope that educated mainstream groups will begin to show their potential even though they have not been properly consolidated in facing non-mainstream groups. Islam that is displayed by mainstream groups has actually got a place from many circles in this world, because their life always adheres to the principles of tasamuh, tawassud, tawazzun, al'adl, and amar ma'ruf nahi munkar consistently, even in the global era it can also adapt to the life of time.
