Abstract

Dating violence in teenagers has become an international issue. According to studies on dating violence, the value of education is linked to the issues among teenagers. In the last two decades, research articles have revealed a great deal about the factors of dating violence. A literature study was used, comprising steps of identification, filtration, feasibility evaluation, and inclusion. From 2016 to 2021, this article was retrieved from Springer Link, JSTOR, and Portal Garuda in the previous six years. This article is a comprehensive evaluation of the research on the predictors of violence in dating among teenagers, including eight papers. The study results are reported regarding the degree of violence experienced by teenagers by gender, contributing variables, and forms of violence experienced by adolescents. This review makes recommendations for future studies to address gaps in the literature, undertake prospective studies, and investigate alternative causative variables, minimizing reliance on correlational and cross-sectional investigation techniques.Abstrak: Kekerasan dalam pacaran telah menjadi fenomena gunung es di kalangan remaja. Abstract

Reproductive health and positive mental health are crucial components of adolescent girls' overall well-being, deeply interconnected and influenced by social, economic, and environmental factors. Adolescent girls face unique challenges in managing both reproductive and mental health, impacted by societal pressures, limited access to health education, and disparities in healthcare. This study aims to analyze trends, themes, and patterns in the literature related to reproductive health and positive mental health among female adolescents, using bibliometric methods to identify key focus areas, research gaps, and influential studies published between 2019 and 2024. This bibliometric analysis followed a simplified PRISMA approach involving identification, screening, and inclusion stages. An initial search identified 1,015 articles on reproductive health and positive mental health in adolescent girls (2020-2024). After abstract and title screening, 856 articles were included. Data analysis using VOSviewer allowed for the visualization of bibliometric networks, highlighting key themes and citation patterns. The analysis revealed that reproductive health education, resilience, and mental well-being are central themes, with stress and social relationships significantly influencing health behaviors. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated challenges in accessing services, while digital solutions emerged as promising interventions. This study emphasizes the importance of integrated approaches to reproductive and mental health, providing a basis for future research and policy development to support adolescent girls' well-being.

Abstract

Media-based interventions show promise in addressing the rising mental health concerns among adolescents, surpassing challenges associated with traditional care. This review critically assesses the effectiveness of media-based interventions in promoting adolescent mental health, with a specific focus on social media, digital applications, and film. The methodology employs a comprehensive approach, utilizing Google Scholar, Scopus, and PubMed databases (2012-2022) with keywords such as "mental health," "media," and "adolescents." the methodology is refined for enhanced clarity, explicitly detailing the search strategy, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and selection process. Findings from the analysis of 13 selected articles highlight promising outcomes of digital interventions in screening and treating mental disorders in adolescents. Emphasizing scalability, accessibility, and personalization benefits, the review recognizes the importance of addressing privacy concerns and the potential drawbacks of relying solely on digital platforms. Additionally, it emphasizes the impact of using booklets for mental health self-management in schools. The review improves organization and flow, eliminating repetition for a clearer presentation of information, providing a detailed evaluation of their strengths and limitations, enhancing the overall credibility of the review. the abstract explicitly discusses limitations related to inclusion criteria, such as language restrictions and the exclusion of specific study designs. This comprehensive approach contributes to a more robust understanding of the literature, providing valuable insights for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers involved in developing effective interventions for adolescent mental health. The implications stress the need for further research, evidence-based intervention development, and considerations for implementation and user experience in digital interventions.

Abstract

Adolescent girls in Jakarta face unique mental health challenges due to cultural, social, and environmental factors. Understanding their prevention needs is critical to inform targeted interventions. This qualitative study aimed to explore the prevention needs of mental health disorders among adolescent girls in Jakarta, shedding light on their experiences and requirements for effective support. We conducted a qualitative study in Jakarta, Indonesia. Participants included 4 counseling guidance teachers consisting of public schools, private schools, Islamic and Christian affiliated schools, 2 parents, 1 coordinator of the School Health Unit, 2 health workers who hold PKPR projects, and the supervisor in charge of the school health unit, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through focus group discussion and analyzed using thematic analysis manually. The study reveals that teachers and parents have varying levels of exposure to adolescent mental health information, with some offering counseling but not always tailored to girls' needs. Parents often rely on subtle cues to detect mental health issues in their daughters. There's room for improvement in addressing girls' mental health needs in schools, with specific training for teachers and more open parent-daughter communication. Further research is needed to ensure uniform support for adolescent mental health.

Abstract

Early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) is placing the infant on the mother's chest or abdomen and allowing the infant to seek the mother's nipple within the first hour of birth. Caesarean section (SC) poses challenges to the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) in both internationally and nationally recommended hospital programs for maternal and infant care. The purpose of this study was to analyze policy implementation and analyze the availability of hospital facilities in the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) after Sectio Caesarean delivery. The research design was descriptive qualitative. The main informants of the study were SPOg doctors, implementing midwives and the Head of the Central Surgical Unit. Supporting informants are laboring mothers, central surgery unit nurses, pediatricians, hospital management. Data collection using in-depth interviews and observation. Data validity strategy using source triangulation. There is a policy contained in the decree of the hospital director and the hospital SOP as a work instruction for the implementing unit, monitoring is carried out every delivery and the division of tasks is carried out situationally. The number, competence and infrastructure are available well enough to support the implementation of IMD after Sectio Caesarea delivery in the hospital

Abstract

Anemia is a major public health issue globally, particularly among adolescent girls, with significant impacts on cognitive and psychomotor development. Despite the importance of prevention, anemia remains widespread, especially in developing countries. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of various educational media in preventing anemia among adolescent girls. A scoping review was conducted following the Arksey and O'Malley framework, with articles identified from three major databases: ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Scopus. Out of 2,560 articles, seven studies met the inclusion criteria, focusing on media formats such as animated educational videos, PAKEM (Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning) model, and print materials like booklets and pocketbooks. The findings reveal that interactive digital media, especially animated educational videos, were highly effective in improving adolescents' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding anemia prevention. These media, with engaging features like dynamic visuals and interactive elements, captured the attention of adolescent girls, facilitating better understanding, and behavior change. The PAKEM model also showed positive results, particularly in increasing adherence to iron supplementation. In contrast, traditional print media, while useful as supplementary tools, were less effective in engaging adolescents compared to digital media. A combined approach using both digital and print media, along with participatory methods such as peer education, was identified as the most effective strategy. These results emphasize the importance of utilizing diverse educational media to enhance anemia prevention efforts and provide valuable insights for developing comprehensive, effective health intervention strategies.
