Abstract

This study analyzes the methods and sources of tafsir used in Tafsir Fathul Qodir by Imam Muhammad bin Ali bin Muhammad Ash-Shukani with a focus on the interpretation of Surah Al-Jumu'ah. This study aims to explore how specific tafsir methods, such as the Tahlili method, are applied in this tafsir in order to provide a deep and contextual understanding of the verses of the Qur'an. This research uses a qualitative approach based on literature study, by reviewing various primary and secondary sources. The results show that the work of Imam Muhammad bin Ali bin Muhammad Ash-Shukani combines the approach of tafsir Bil Ma'tsur (history-based) with Tafsir Bil Ra'yi (reason-based). Primary sources such as the Qur'an, hadith, and the opinions of the companions are used comprehensively, while linguistic analysis and grammatical rules strengthen the interpretation of the verse. The interpretation of Surat Al-Jumu'ah emphasizes lughawi and fiqh patterns, which can be seen from the detailed explanation of the language structure and the discussion related to worship commands, such as Friday prayers. This research contributes to the understanding of Qur'anic interpretation that is applicable and contextual, and highlights the importance of using methods and sources of interpretation in facing the challenges of modern life. Tafsir Fathul Qodir is an important reference in the study of Qur'anic interpretation, especially in understanding the relevance of the verses of Al-Jumu'ah in the social and spiritual life of Muslims.

Abstract

Penafsiran bias gender memaknai isti’faf dengan menjauhi zina yakni meninggalkan hal-hal yang diharamkan Allah. Namun, penafsiran adil gender memandang itu bukan satu-satunya makna. Maka dari itu diperlukan pembacaan ulang mengenai perintah isti’faf menggunakan relasi akhlak mubadalah dalam QS. An-Nur ayat 33. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui prinsip-prinsip relasi laki-laki dan perempuan dalam metode mubadalah, mengetahui penafsiran bias gender dan adil gender mengenai isti’faf serta menemukan analisa gender dalam penafsiran isti’faf. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan library research. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prinsip mubadalah adalah keadilan, kemaslahatan dan anti kemudaratan yang didasarkan pada prisip resiprokal atau kesalingan, bermuara pada akhlakul karimah, oleh, dari serta untuk laki-laki dan perempuan. Penafsiran isti’faf yang bias gender didapat dari Al-Qurthubi, Ath-Thabari dan Hasby Ash-Shiddieqy. Sedangkan penafsiran yang adil gender didapat dari Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir. Isti’faf dalam perspektif bias gender hanya menyasar pada laki-laki dan dimaknai menjauhi zina. Sementara perspektif adil gender menyasar laki-laki dan perempuan dan dimaknai bukan hanya menjauhi zina, tapi mendisiplinkan diri agar tidak terjerumus pada zina, yakni melakukan hal yang halal berupa hal positif dan produktif. Pemaknaan ini pada akhirnya akan menciptakan keluarga yang maslahat, berkeadilan dan minim konflik. Re-interpretasi seperti ini sesuai dengan prinsip tafsir adil gender yakni etika maslahah dan sesuai dengan maqashid syariah yakni hifdzu al-nasl (menjaga keturunan). Selain terjaganya status anak setelah menikah, terjaga pula diri pribadi anak, sebab lahir dari orangtua yang memiliki kualitas diri sehingga meniru orangtua dalam berprilaku dan berkiprah. Kemudian akan menghasilkan keturunan yang berkualitas pula bukan hanya mengedepankan kuantitas.

Abstract

Religion and spirituality are intertwined, with spirituality at the core of religious experience. Recent studies highlight the connection between spirituality and mental health, self-efficacy, and self-respect. In 2001, Ary Ginanjar Agustian introduced ESQ 165, a religious phenomenon aimed at enhancing human resources through spirituality. However, this concept faced criticism from some Islamic scholars, including Malaysian mufti Datuk Hj. Wan Zahidi bin Wan Teh, who argued it contradicts Islamic teachings. Conversely, research by Daromir Rudnyckij links ESQ 165 to "Spiritual Economy," merging Islamic principles with neoliberal economic practices to boost productivity. This qualitative study employs library research to analyze Agustian's interpretations of the Quran in his work "Secrets of Success in Building Spiritual Emotional Intelligence ESQ 165." Findings reveal that ESQ 165 integrates intellectual (IQ), emotional (EQ), and spiritual intelligence (SQ) with Islamic values of Faith, Islam, and Ihsan. Agustian's interpretations differ from traditional ulama due to methodological influences and a psychological approach, positioning them outside conventional interpretation rules. Despite critiques, his insights resonate with Gadamer's understanding of interpretation shaped by personal horizons, aligning ESQ 165 with Quranic spiritual motivation and Danah Zohar's God Spot theory.

Abstract

This research aims to study the correlation between i’jaz bayani and scientific hints in the story of Maryam in the Qur’an. Using a language and science approach, this research analyzes the choice of diction, sentence structure, and word use in Surah Maryam, which shows the miracle of the language of the Qur'an. The main focus of this study is the use of the word "rutab" (wet dates), which is scientifically proven to have great benefits for pregnant and giving-birth women. This finding shows that the meaning contained in this choice of words is not only linguistically beautiful but also in accordance with modern medical facts. This shows that there is a close relationship between i’jaz bayani and scientific signals in the Al-Qur'an, as well as being a protest against orientalist accusations that doubt the miracles of the stories in the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Al-Quran memberi wawasan terhadap perubahan masyarakat dalam artian sebagai bentuk antisipasi dari perubahan-perubahan yang bersifat negatif maupun sebaliknya,yaitu mencipta perubahan yang positif ditengah-tengah masyarakat. Fenomena aborsi hari ini semakin menjamur dengan berbagai jenis kasus, ditengah hadirnya undang-undang yang menghalalkan praktik tersebut namun dalam beberapa Tafsir al-Qur’an masih banyak yang secara mutlak mengharamkannya . Penelitian ini membahas terkait bagaimana isyarat al-Qur’an tentang ayat aborsi yang dihadirkan dari mufassir lintas generasi dan perspektif. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa hukum melakukan aborsi adalah boleh dengan alas an yang benar. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research) yang bertujuan untuk mengungkap penafsiran terkait isyarat mengenai ayat-ayat aborsi melalui pendekatan yang adil gender.

Abstract

Penafsiran mufassir klasik yang bias gender tidak sedikit cenderung lebih menekan kepada satu gender saja. Seperti pada penafsiran terhadap ayat-ayat yang mengisyaratkan isti’faf. Mufassir bias gender menafsirkan isti’faf hanya bagi siapa saja yang belum mampu menikah untuk menjaga kesucian diri dari perkara-perkara yang haram saja. Karena dalam kenyataannya zina bisa terjadi kepada seseorang yang sudah dalam relasi perkawinan, dan bagi yang sudah menikah pun tetap diperintahkan untuk isti’faf. Tujuan penelitian ini mengungkap bagaimana dalam pandangan ulama tafsir bias gender dan pandangan ulama tafsir adil gender. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data studi pustaka (library research). Adapun hasil dan pembahasan pada penelitian ini adalah pada penafsiran tafsir bias gender yang mengisyaratkan isti’faf ini cenderung lebih menekan kepada perempuan, yang mana dalam menjaga aurat dan perilaku mereka. Dan memaknai isti’faf dengan bagi siapa saja yang belum mampu menikah untuk menjaga kesucian diri dari perkara-perkara yang haram saja. Namun, mufassir adil gender yang penulis merujuknya kepada Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir, ia menjelaskan bahwa yang seharusnya menjaga pandangan dan menjaga kemaluan itu laki-laki dan perempuan. Dan isti’faf itu tidak hanya diartikan menghindari zina, karena zina juga tetap bisa terjadi pada saat seseorang sudah dalam relasi perkawinan, dimana yang sudah menikah juga tetap diperintahkan untuk isti’faf. Isti’faf menurut Faqihuddin mengenai relasi akhlak terpuji (mahmudah) dan menjauhi akhlak yang tercela (madzmumah). Pendapat adil gender mencerminkan semangat tauhidullah dan menjadi salah satu tujuan dari maqshid syari’ah, yakni hifz an-Nasl.

Abstract

Humans as creatures who have the title "the best form" is an affirmation of Allah SWT that He has created and made a complete spiritual and physical form. This event indicates that humans have basic potential that continues to develop biologically as well as their knowledge, so that humans are given the mandate to carry out two roles as well as the purpose of their presence, namely as khalifatullah and 'Abdullah on earth. However, the orientation of a Muslim's life is currently being hit by the development of a life style that follows trends and the pace of the times which results in the mingling of global ideologies, so that the basic human potential is no longer directed to achieving the essence of his presence as the representative of Allah (khalifatullah) and the servant of Allah ('Abdullah) in the world. earth. Thus, a study of basic human potential and how to develop it is needed in the order of life and human life. The purpose of this study is to discuss the basic potential of Muslim individuals in the Qur'an as a supporter of carrying out their roles as khalifatullah and 'abdullah on earth. This study applies a qualitative step. This research approach is human axiological aspect. The results and discussion of this research include the definition of human potential in the Qur'an, basic potential as eternal existence, and procedures for maximizing potential so that it can support the role of both humans as khalifatullah and 'abdullah. The conclusion of this study is that there are six approaches that are considered capable of activating human potential, in order to achieve awareness of the role and purpose of presence in this universal reality, namely social, moral, philosophical, chronological, meditation, and functional approaches.

Abstract

The Qur'an as a source to teach and guide life as hudan li al-nās (guidance for humans) which remains valid along with the challenges of an ever-growing and complex era, on the other hand, humans with various mobility feel narrow but need the guidance of the quran, especially for the problems they face in the Middle This research largely uses qualitative methods where the type of research is literature (library research). The research results of this paper that the maudhu'i method of interpretation is a method that is favored and suggested by modern mufassirs is the maudhu'i method which discusses the main themes in a letter or certain verses. This method seeks to find answers to the Qur'an by collecting verses of the Qur'an that have one purpose to discuss a particular title/topic, focusing on it according to the time of its revelation and the causes of its revelation. The advantages of maudhu'i explanation are that it answers the challenges of the times, practical, systematic, dynamic and fully understood. While the weaknesses of maudhu'i explanation are pieces of verses of the Qur'an from its order and limit its understanding according to its subject. This research is expected to provide great benefits for the study of the Qur'an.

Abstract

AbstractThis paper discusses the concept of maqāṣidī Ibn 'Asyūr's interpretation and its implementation in qiṣāṣ verses. The purpose of this paper is to find out the construction of maqāṣidī Ibn 'Āsyūr's interpretation and the implementation of the interpretation of the qiṣāṣ verses in the Qur'an. The method used is descriptive analysis with literature study. The analytical approach used is the Jasser Audah systems approach. The result obtained is that the maqāṣidī interpretation constructed by Ibn 'Āsyūr is generally oriented towards achieving benefit and rejecting damage. Its achievement is based on the realization of safeguarding the five most basic things, namely protecting religion, soul, lineage, property, and mind; This benefit is realized in three forms of maqāṣid, namely maqāṣid 'ām (general), maqāṣid khāṣṣ (special) and maqāṣid juziyyah (partially); Implementation of the interpretation of the maqāṣidī Ibn 'Āsyūr concept in the verse qiṣāṣ results in an interpretation that qiṣāṣ law has five main objectives (maqāṣid), namely enforcing fair laws, preventive goals, nuanced equality, protecting life and creating stability and security of society.Keywords: Ibn ‘Āsyūr; Interpretation of Maqāṣidī; Qiṣāṣ. AbstrakTulisan ini membahas tentang konsep tafsir maqāṣidī Ibn 'Asyūr dan implementasinya pada ayat-ayat qiṣāṣ. Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui konstruksi tafsir maqāṣidī Ibn 'Āsyūr dan implementasi penafsiran pada ayat-ayat qiṣāṣ dalam Al-Qur’an. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analisis dengan studi pustaka. Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan adalah pendekatan sistem Jasser Audah. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah bahwa tafsir maqāṣidī yang dikonstruksikan oleh Ibn 'Āsyūr pada umumnya berorientasi pada pencapaian kemaslahatan dan penolakan pada kerusakan. Pencapaiannya didasarkan pada terjaganya lima hal yang paling mendasar, yaitu menjaga agama, jiwa, keturunan, harta dan akal; kemaslahatan ini diwujudkan dalam tiga bentuk maqāṣid, yaitu maqāṣid 'ām (umum), maqāṣid khāṣṣ (khusus) dan maqāṣid juziyyah (sebagian); Implementasi penafsiran konsep maqāṣidī Ibn 'Āsyūr dalam ayat qiṣāṣ menghasilkan tafsir bahwa hukum qiṣāṣ memiliki lima tujuan utama (maqāṣid), yaitu menegakkan hukum yang berkedilan, tujuan preventif, bernuansa persamaan hukum, melindungi kehidupan serta menciptakan stabilitas dan keamanan masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Ibn ‘Āsyūr; Qiṣāṣ; Tafsir Maqāṣidī.
