Abstract

This research aims to improve the natural science (science) learning outcomes of class VI students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Kampus Ikip through the application of differentiated learning. Differentiated learning is a teaching strategy that is tailored to students' needs, abilities, interests and learning styles, so that each individual can learn optimally. This classroom action research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. Data is collected through learning results tests, observations, and interviews to measure changes that occur in student learning outcomes. The research results show an increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle. In the first cycle, student learning outcomes showed quite significant improvements, but some students still needed adjustments in the learning methods applied. In the second cycle, learning outcomes increased more sharply along with adjustments made in differentiated learning strategies, such as the use of more diverse media and activities as well as dividing study groups according to students' ability levels. Based on these findings, the application of differentiated learning has proven to be effective in improving science learning outcomes for grade VI students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Kampus Ikip.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' errors in solving mathematics problems on the topic of fractions based on Newman’s Error Analysis. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in the fractions topic at SD Inpres Tamamaung III. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. Out of 29 fifth-grade students, three subjects were selected based on their level of error according to Newman’s procedure, categorized into high, medium, and low error levels. The student with a high level of error made several mistakes, including comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skills errors, and errors in writing the final answer. The student with a medium level of error committed transformation errors, process skills errors, and final answer writing errors. Meanwhile, the student categorized as having a low level of error made no mistakes and answered the questions correctly. The results of the study indicate that most students made errors in solving word problems based on Newman’s procedure, including reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skills errors, and final answer writing errors. To validate the test results, the researcher conducted interviews with the three selected subjects representing the different levels of errors. These errors were caused by students’ lack of accuracy, difficulty in understanding concepts, and a tendency to rush through the tasks.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using congklak media on students’ learning outcomes. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample of this study was also the population, consisting of 18 students, including 9 females and 9 males. Data were collected through observation and learning achievement tests. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the mean pretest score of the students was 61.11 with a mastery percentage of 16.67%, which increased to 81.38 with a mastery percentage of 72.22% in the posttest. In addition, the hypothesis testing indicated a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the use of congklak media. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of congklak media has a significant positive effect on students’ mathematics learning outcomes, particularly on the topics of Least Common Multiple and Greatest Common Divisor.

Abstract

enis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan subjek penelitian dialakukan dengan memberikan angket self efficacy kepada 23 siswa kelas VII, selanjutnya pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis materi perbandingan ini diberikan kepada 6 subjek serta tes wawancara.Hasil penelitian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self efficacy yaitu dari  keenam subjek menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda-beda. berdasarkan hasil analisis hasil tes secara lisan dan tulisan datri 4 indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis yaitu (1) menyatakan suatu situasi, gambar, diagram, atau benda nyata dalam bahasa, simbol, ide, atau model  matematika; (2) menjelaskan ide, situasi, dan relasi matematika secara lisan atau tulisan; (3) membaca dengan pemahaman suatu representasi matematika tertulis, dan (4) mengungkapkan kembali suatu uraian atau paragraf matematika dalam bahasa sendiri Dua subjek dengan self efficacy tinggi yaitu ST1 dapat memenuhi 4 indikator dari 4 indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis, sedangkan subjek ST2 hanya mampu memenuhi 2 indikator, selanjutnya subjek sedang yaitu Subjek SS1 mampu memenuhi 3 indikator dan subjek SS2 hanya mampu memenuhi 2 indikator, serta subjek dengan self efficacy rendah yaitu SR! dan SR2 tidak mampu memenuhi indikator  apapun dari 4 indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat self efficacy tidak selamanya berbanding lurus dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematika, tetapi self efficacy yang tinggi terhadap matematika akan mempengaruhi meningkatnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa karena dapat membuat siswa memiliki sikap positif terhadap matematika dalam menghadapi/menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih bersifat konvensional dan kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Wordwall terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Perumnas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen menggunakan metode Pre-Experimental Design dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan SPSS. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Perumnas sebanyak 23 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis inferensial diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 8,361 lebih besar dari t tabel 1,717 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H₁ diterima dan H₀ ditolak. Selain itu, aktivitas belajar siswa selama pembelajaran menggunakan Wordwall berada pada kategori sangat aktif dengan persentase rata-rata 91,92%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Wordwall terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Perumnas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much the ability to calculate mathematics through flashcard learning media and to determine the effect of flashcard learning media on the ability to calculate in mathematics subjects. This type of research is Pre-experimental research. With the research design is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study was all students of grade I UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai, which consists of two classes namely class IA and IB. While the sample used in this study was simple cluster sampling. Simple cluster sampling is a random sampling technique from various clusters in a population. The sample taken in this study was class IA as many as 28 students. The research instrument used was a pretest and posttest test sheet. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential data analysis. The results of the study showed that the average score of the initial ability test before the application of flashcard learning media (pretest) was 39.28 with a standard deviation of 17.089. From these results, 2 (7.12%) students completed the test and 26 (92.85%) students did not complete it, while the average score after the application of flashcard learning media (posttest) was 84.10 with a standard deviation of 10.71. From these results, 3 (10.71%) students did not complete the test and 25 (89.28%) students completed the test, this means that classical completeness was achieved. This shows that flashcard learning media has a positive effect on improving students' counting abilities. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test test show that the significance value (2-tailed) is <0.000. This significance value is much smaller than the significance level of 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, indicating that there is a significant difference in students' calculation ability before and after treatment. It can be concluded that the application of flashcard learning media has an effect on improving students' calculation ability.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to solve problems resulting in low learning outcomes in mathematics. Therefore, it is necessary to solve problems related to these problems by applying Realistic Mathematics Learning. The type of research used is pre-experimental research which aims to determine the effect of real mathematics learning on the learning outcomes of elementary school students. The research design used was The One Group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using test techniques. The data analysis technique used paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average mathematics learning outcomes score before treatment was 73.17, and after treatment was 82.96. While the results of inferential statistical analysis showed that the score of the p-value (sig (2-takes)) was 0.000 <0.05. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that Realistic Mathematics Learning has a significant effect on elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Real Analysis is often a gatekeeper course in mathematics education, marking the difficult transition from computational calculus to formal axiomatic proof. Prospective mathematics teachers frequently struggle to construct rigorous proofs, even for fundamental properties. This study employs Newman's Error Analysis (NEA) to analyze the epistemological obstacles underlying these struggles. This descriptive qualitative case study involved 15 fifth-semester undergraduates at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar who completed a diagnostic proof test on field properties. Analysis of student work revealed that none made errors at the 'Reading' stage. Instead, errors clustered at higher cognitive stages: 3 students exhibited Comprehension errors, 5 made Transformation errors, 4 showed Process Skills errors, and 3 made Encoding errors. From this cohort, four subjects, each exemplifying one of these non-reading error types, were selected for in-depth semi-structured interviews. The findings indicate a hierarchical breakdown in proof construction specifically for the theorem: "If a ≠ 0 and a ∈ ℝ, prove that  ≠ 0." Students either failed to translate verbal understanding into explicit premises (Comprehension), could not operationalize an indirect proof strategy (Transformation), neglected to justify algebraic steps with axioms (Process Skills), or omitted formal concluding statements (Encoding). The study concludes that errors often perceived as "carelessness" can be symptoms of deeper epistemological obstacles, such as viewing proof as a computational ritual rather than a formal, communicative argument. These findings underscore the need for explicit instruction on proof mechanics and structure, even when students possess correct mathematical intuition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Murid Elektronik (e-LKM) berbasis Model Problem Based Learning yang difokuskan pada Materi Statistika di kelas X Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah Research and Development dengan kerangka kerja ADDIE yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Partisipan penelitian adalah dua ahli pendidikan matematika dan dua ahli media pembelajaran, serta dua guru dan 63 murid kelas X dari dua sekolah menengah kejuruan yang berbeda. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi, lembar observasi, angket respon, dan tes hasil belajar murid. E-LKM dikembangkan dengan mengikuti sintaks Model Problem Based Learning, yaitu orientasi masalah, pengorganisasian belajar, penyelidikan, penyajian hasil, dan evaluasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan e-LKM mencapai rata-rata 3,94 untuk validitas materi dan 3,85 untuk validitas media, dan keduanya berada pada kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji kepraktisan menunjukkan guru memberi penilaian 93,4% dan murid memberi penilaian 94,5% atau berada pada kategori sangat praktis. e-LKM yang telah dinyatakan valid dan praktis diimplementasikan di dua sekolah menengah kejuruan. Hasil uji efektivitas menunjukkan N-Gain hasil belajar murid mencapai 0,72 (kategori tinggi), keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai rata-rata 96,14% (kategori sangat baik), aktivitas belajar murid mencapai rata-rata 94,14 (kategori sangat aktif) dan respon murid mencapai rata-rata 96,00 (kategori sangat baik). Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa e-LKM efektif digunakan untuk mendukung penerapan Model Problem Based Learning dalam pembelajaran Statistika di sekolah menengah kejuruan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar sebanyak 20 orang peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi guru dan peserta didik, serta angket respon peserta didik. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan yang pertama reduksi data yang dilakukan terus menerus selama penelitian berlangsung. Kedua, penyajian data dalam bentuk paparan data peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik untuk menentukan ketuntasan belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan rumus individu, klasikal, rata-rata, median, analisis presentase dan standar deviasi. Ketiga, verifikasi data, dimana pengkategorian hasil belajar disesuaikan dengan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pembelajaran tipe team quiz berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas. Pada dua siklus pembelajaran, presentase ketuntasan matematika meningkat dari 10 Persen menjadi 75 Persen . Model ini efektif dan direkomendasikan untuk proses pembelajaran lebih lanjut.
