Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) on the growth of microalgae. This study was an experimental study using a completely randomized design (RBD) which had 4 treatments and 1 control with 3 repetitions each. The four ingredients for adding sodium bicarbonate had different concentrations, namely 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm and 200 ppm while the Control did not add sodium bicarbonate. Following the Anova analysis technique at a confidence level of α < 0.05, the research data were subjected to Duncan's advanced test using the SPSS statistical software. The results of the study show that the growth of Chlorella sp. microalgae is affected by the addition of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3). This is based on the results of measurements of biomass with the highest average value found in treatment A (addition of sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3 50 ppm) of 2.319 g/L compared to the control average value of 1.819 g/L, different from the results of the chlorophyll-a content obtained there was no effect on the control, where the highest average value of chlorophyll content was 1.459986mg/mL from   the control (K) and the lowest average was 0.937614 mg/mL from treatment C.

Abstract

This research originated from the lack of utilization of learning media by educators in learning biology in high school which has the potential to affect student interest in learning. This study aims to produce learning media in the form of a valid interactive video. This research refers to the research and development approach by applying the 4D development model, which consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The focus of this research is one of the development stages of interactive learning videos, involving the assessment of expert validators who assess three main aspects, namely the presentation of material, video quality, and language used. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics. Based on the data analysis, the validity level of the developed interactive learning video reached a score of 4.6. The score indicates that the video was declared into the "valid" category. In this study, four discussion videos discussed cell material. The conclusion from the results of the data analysis shows that the interactive learning videos developed on cell concepts meet the valid criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of project-based learning models on students' learning activities and outcomes. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The study was conducted from July to August 2022 at SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. The population consisted of 10th-grade students in the science program, totaling 7 classes. Random sampling selected X MIA 4 as the experimental group and X MIA 2 as the control group. Observational sheets were used to monitor student activities, while test instruments were used to assess student learning outcomes. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Version 23.0. Analysis of pretest and posttest scores from the experimental group, comprising 34 students, revealed that 5 students achieved a score in the 'very good' category and 9 students in the 'good' category. In contrast, the control group did not have any students in the 'very good' category; only 3 students were in the 'good' category. Observational results from three observers in the experimental group indicated that 96.73% of students were 'highly active', whereas in the control group, 67.07% were 'sufficiently active'. In conclusion, the research findings suggest that the project-based learning model influences students' learning activities and outcomes.

Abstract

Pekarangan sekolah merupakan suatu sarana yang dimikiki oleh suatu sekolah yang memiliki peranan penting, tidak hanya kebutuhan untuk berbagai aktivitas peserta didik seperti tempat kegiatan upacara, berolah raga tetapi juga pekarangan merupakan tempat menanam berbagai jenis tanaman hias dan tanaman apotek hidup yang dibutuhkan sebagai sumber laboratorium alam yang menyediakan bahan untuk praktek. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan PKM ini untuk memberi wawasan, pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru-guru SMP se Kab. Enrekang yang tergabung dalam MGMP mata pelajaran IPA tentang pengelolaan pekarangan sekolah yang berbasis pemanfaatan limbah organik yang dihasilkan oleh sekolah menjadi pupuk kompos dan pupuk cair. Metode yang digunakan adalah memberikan pelatihan berupa cara pembuatan pupuk kompos dan pupuk cair, bahan dan peralatan yang dibutuhkan dan cara pembuatan biostarter untuk mempercepat proses pengemposan dan pupuk cair. Hasil dari pelatihan PKM ini guru-guru SMP yang tergabung dalam MGMP mata pelajaran IPA telah memahami dan menguasai serta sudah terampil membuat kompos dan pupuk cair dengan bahan baku berupa limbah sekolah yaitu limbah organik. Selain itu peserta PKM juga telah mampu membuat biostrater dari bahan baku lokal dalam rangka mempercepat proses pengomposan dan pembuatan pupuk cair. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat seperti ini perlu ditidak lanjuti menjadi kegiatan lebih besar sehingga bisa digunakan produknya oleh masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Abstrak Alasan utama pelatihan ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa adalah; Mahasiswa sebagai penerus bangsa sekaligus generasi muda yang sangat berdaya dalam memelihara kelangsungan Kelestarian Lingkungan Hidup. Berdasarkan faktor usia, mahasiswa memiliki peluang panjang dan kesempatan luas menyebarkan ilmu, meneruskan informasi, serta mengajak masyarakat maupun khalayak pada pelestarian lingkungan. Berdasarkan intelektualitas, mahasiswa merupakan komunitas yang berpendidikan dan menguasai IT, sehingga mudah dalam memberikan contoh atau sebagai suri tauladan secara luas ataupun di lingkungan tempat mereka berada. Tujuan pertama diadakannya pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai manfaat pohon bagi kesehatan dan kehidupan. Tujuan kedua adalah menumbuhkan sikap perilaku peduli lingkungan mendukung “sejuta pohon” dalam memelihara dan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup. Target luaran yang dihasilkan dari pelatihan ini adalah menumbuhkan kesadaran dan perilaku peduli lingkungan pada peserta pelatihan. Metode Pelatihan melalui pemberian materi berupa pengetahuan manfaat pohon bagi kehidupan secara out door learning. Outdoor learning sebagai metode pemberian pengalaman langsung di lokasi seluas 300 hektar yang dipenuhi tanaman dan pohon sebanyak kurang lebih 17.963 tanaman. Hasil yang dicapai adalah tumbuhnya sikap peduli lingkungan pada seluruh peserta pelatihan. Kata Kunci: Melastarikan lingkungan, sejuta pohon, outdoor learning AbstractThe main reasons for this training for students college are; They are the successors of the nation as well as the young generation who are very empowered in maintaining the continuity of Environmental Conservation. Based on the age factor, students college have a long and wide opportunity to spread knowledge, pass on information, and invite the community and audience to environmental preservation. Based on their intellect, students are an educated and IT-savvy community, so it is easy to set an example or serve as a role model widely or in the environment where they live. The first objective of holding this training is to provide knowledge about the benefits of trees for health and life. The second goal is to foster an attitude of caring behavior towards the environment to support "a million trees" in maintaining and preserving the environment. The output target resulting from this training is to foster environmental awareness and behavior in the trainees. The training method is through the provision of material in the form of knowledge of the benefits of trees for life through out door learning. Outdoor learning as a method of providing hands-on experience in a location of 300 hectares which is filled with plants and trees totaling approximately 17,963 plants. Abstract

Inovasi kurikulum yang berpusat pada siswa yakni modul Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila dan Budaya dilingkungan sekitar Sekolah guna mengatasi tantangan dan tuntutan mutu Pendidikan. Kurikulum Merdeka telah digunakan oleh satuan SMP Negeri 3 Campalagian mengimplementasikan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) sebagai langkah untuk mencapai karakteristik Pelajar Pancasila melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Dalam pelaksanaan P5, diharapkan guru dapat mendampingi proses belajar siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan serta membangun karakter luhur sesuai dengan prinsip Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Pemahaman guru terhadap P5 masih belum merata, sehingga menghambat pelaksanaan Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendampingan dalam penyusunan modul proyek P5. Guru-guru di SMP N 3 Campalagian membutuhkan pendalaman materi dan bimbingan untuk menentukan fokus dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila serta tema proyek yang sesuai dengan kondisi dan kebutuhan sekolah. Selain itu, pendampingan juga diperlukan untuk membantu guru dalam menetapkan subelemen (tujuan proyek), mengembangkan topik, alur, dan durasi proyek, serta merancang aktivitas dan penilaian proyek. Berdasarkan analisis situasi dan permasalahan yang dihadapi, tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mendampingi penyusunan modul P5 untuk mengoptimalkan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP N 3 Campalagian. Diharapkan melalui solusi ini, sekolah dapat memaksimalkan potensinya dalam melaksanakan P5, dan guru mampu memahami materi P5 dengan lebih baik sekaligus menyusun draf dokumen perencanaan P5 yang dapat diimplementasikan di sekolah.

Abstract

Education curriculum D3 Midwifery Stikes Tanawali Persada Kab. Takalar has basic courses such as biochemistry courses which provide knowledge about the ability to perform screening and analysis, however, it is not accompanied by giving practicums to equip students with basic skills. Therefore, basic training related to screening and diagnosis skills, such as urine biochemical examination, was carried out. The community groups that were used as partners in this training were students majoring in midwifery, Stikes Tanawali Persada, Takalar Regency. The training method planned in this training activity consists of three stages. The first stage is in the form of providing material and information regarding the technique of analyzing the content of chemical compounds in urine samples. The second stage is the implementation of the practical analysis of the content of chemical compounds in urine samples. The third stage is discussion and evaluation. The result of this training activity was successful and smooth. Participants' understanding also increased based on the results of the evaluation given at the end of the training. This success was achieved due to careful preparation and support from various parties, especially the manager and teaching staff of Stikes Tanawali Persada Takalar Regency who have provided adequate training facilities and infrastructure and support from experienced presenters and practicum assistants.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata merupakan wujud nyata dari tugas mahasiswa untuk memenuhi life skill dengan bimbingan dosen. Melalui kegiatan KKN, maka terjadi sinergi antara Perguruan Tinggi, mahasiswa dengan masyarakat sebagai wujud knowledge demokrasi. Tujuan dari kegiatan yang dilakukan di TPQ Nurul Ilmi ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat setempat tentang pentingnya pendidikan keagamaan guna membantu pemerintah dalam mencerdaskan anak bangsa. Hasil dari Kegiatan KKN ini memberikan gambaran kepada masyarakat untuk meningkatkan semangat dan pemahaman masyarakat terutama pada anak-anak tentang baca tulis Al-qur’an, kegiatan yang terlaksana berupa mengajarkan membaca Iqra' dan Al-Qur'an, hafalan surat pendek dan do’a sehari - hari. Kegiatan terlaksana di TPQ Nurul Ilmi, Jalan Muhajirin, Kecamatan Tamalate, Kota Makasar. Kegiatan terlaksana setiap hari Sabtu dan Minggu, pada pukul 07.00 – 9.00 WITA dan dilanjutkan pukul 14.30 -15.30 WITA. Adapun kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama Bulan Suci Ramadhan

Abstract

Abstract Socialization and training activities on liquid organic fertilizer (POC) production for high school students in urban areas were carried out with the aim of increasing the knowledge and skills of urban students in managing organic waste into products that are economically valuable and environmentally friendly. Household waste, especially food scraps and other organic waste, has great potential to be processed into POC that can be used as an alternative fertilizer for plants. This activity involved the active participation of students, focusing on providing information about the benefits of POC, simple and easy-to-apply production techniques, and hands-on practice in making POC using readily available materials. The results of this activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of organic waste management and the potential of POC as a sustainable fertilizer solution. In addition, participants were able to practice making POC independently, which is expected to reduce the volume of waste disposed of in landfills and increase soil fertility and crop productivity in the surrounding environment. Thus, this outreach and training activity made a positive contribution to creating a clean, healthy, and productive environment through the optimal utilization of household waste in urban areas.
