Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komposisi dan struktur vegetasi gulma pada plot tanaman cabai (Capsicum frutescens L.) di berbagai kondisi lingkungan. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium kebun percobaan Universitas Negeri Makassar dengan membagi area menjadi tiga daerah: bawah naungan pohon mangga, area terbuka, dan bawah jala-jala plastik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga spesies gulma dominan ditemukan, yaitu Cyperus rotundus, Digitaria ciliaris, dan Phyllanthus urinaria. Ketiga spesies ini berasal dari famili yang berbeda, yaitu Cyperaceae, Poaceae, dan Phyllanthaceae. Analisis keanekaragaman menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keanekaragaman dan dominansi spesies gulma di setiap daerah dan transek. Struktur vegetasi dari faktor keanekaragaman antara daerah satu, daerah dua, dan daerah tiga relatif tidak berbeda. Pengelompokan transek berdasarkan indeks-indeks tersebut menghasilkan tiga kelompok utama. Pola pengelompokan transek yang terbentuk memperlihatkan bahwa daerah dua dan daerah tiga memiliki keanekaragaman yang relatif sama. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan informasi dasar tentang komposisi dan struktur vegetasi gulma pada tanaman cabai serta implikasinya bagi pengelolaan gulma yang lebih efektif.Kata kunci: Gulma, Capsicum frutescens, Keanekaragaman spesies, Struktur vegetasi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of mealworm frass and molasses on the proximate value ofwhite oyster mushrooms. This type of research was an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD)consisting of four treatments with three replications each. Test parameters include water content, ash content, crudeprotein, crude fat and crude fiber. Proximate data on water content, ash content, crude protein, crude fat and crudefiber were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey's follow-up test with a 95% confidence level.The results showed that treatment with frass and frass molasses had an effect on water content, ash content, crudeprotein, crude fat, and a decrease in fiber content. Therefore, it can be concluded that the addition of mealwormfrass and molasses affects the proximate value of the resulting oyster mushrooms.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between students' perceptions of biology teacher competence with their learning independence, motivation, and creativity in North Toraja Regency. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was used. This study aims to determine the nature of the relationship between the perception of biology teacher competence with learning independence, learning creativity, and learning motivation, as well as the relationship between learning independence, creativity, and learning motivation of class XI IPA (Group F) students of State Senior High Schools in North Toraja Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire covering perceptions of teacher competence, learning independence, creativity, and motivation. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were carried out, including Pearson correlation tests and regression analyses. The results showed a significant positive correlation between perceptions of teacher competence with learning independence (r = 0.680), creativity (r = 0.766), and motivation (r = 0.849), with a p value of 0.000. These findings indicate that positive perceptions of teacher competence contribute to improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

A training session on making the probiotic drink tepache was conducted at MA Muhammadiyah Cambajawaya, Gowa Regency, as an educational initiative to promote health and utilize local resources. Tepache is a traditional fermented beverage made from pineapple peel and pulp, rich in probiotics beneficial for digestive health. This activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of probiotics, train practical skills in producing environmentally friendly fermented drinks, and foster entrepreneurial spirit. The training method included theoretical sessions, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Evaluation results showed that the majority of students (87%) expressed interest in making tepache independently and understood its health benefits. The training also introduced the concept of productive use of household organic waste. In conclusion, this activity effectively educated students and opened opportunities for developing local health-based products. Similar training programs are recommended to be expanded with greater institutional and governmental support.

Abstract

The ability of students to perform quantitative data analysis is a crucial skill in conducting scientific research. However, many students face challenges, both in selecting appropriate analytical techniques relevant to their research topics and in using data analysis software such as SPSS or other supporting applications. These challenges often hinder students in analyzing research data effectively. This community service activity aims to enhance students' skills in identifying suitable analytical techniques for scientific research and in using data analysis software such as SPSS. The implementation methods include delivering materials on descriptive and inferential statistics, conducting simulations on SPSS usage, and facilitating discussion and Q&A sessions. The results of the training show an improvement in participants’ understanding of how to choose appropriate analytical techniques and operate statistical software for research purposes. This activity also contributes to increasing students’ confidence and independence in conducting scientific research. The training is expected to serve as a sustainable and integrated model for academic development in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research which aims to determine the effect of synthetic fertilizers urea, TSP and ZA on the amount of biomass and chlorophyll content of Dunaliella sp. on a laboratory scale. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 3 replications each to obtain 15 treatment combinations. The research method consisted of several stages, namely preparation of tools and materials consisting of making culture media, making walne medium and making treatment medium, sterilizing tools and medium, preparing Dunaliella sp inoculum. on Walne medium with a static system, as well as optimizing the growth of Dunaliella sp.. The parameters observed in this study were phytoplankton biomass (dry weight), total chlorophyll content, salinity, pH, temperature, and light intensity. Based on the research results, the highest average biomass was found in the P3 treatment, namely the Walne medium treatment with the addition of 105 ppm urea, 80 ppm TSP, and 80 ppm ZA which produced an average of 5.23 g/L. Furthermore, the highest average results for measuring chlorophyll content were found in treatment P4 with walne medium treatment which added 115 ppm urea, 75 ppm TSP and 75 ppm ZA which produced an average of 1.81 µg/mL. So it can be concluded that the synthetic fertilizers urea, TSP and ZA have an effect on the amount of biomass and chlorophyll content on the growth of Dunaliella sp.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan workshop supervisi akademik sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran para guru di SMP Negeri 3 Campalagian dalam menghadapi tantangan Era Merdeka Belajar. Workshop ini difokuskan pada perbaikan keterampilan mengajar agar sesuai dengan tuntutan pendidikan yang semakin dinamis. Melalui workshop supervisi akademik, guru-guru diberikan kesempatan untuk menerima umpan balik konstruktif dan dukungan dalam mengembangkan metode pengajaran yang efektif dan inovatif. Kolaborasi dan pertukaran pengalaman antar guru juga menjadi bagian penting dari program ini. Partisipasi aktif dari pihak terkait, seperti pengelola sekolah, tenaga pendidik, dan peserta didik, menjadi kunci keberhasilan workshop ini. Dengan keterlibatan semua pihak, program ini memiliki potensi untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Melalui workshop supervisi akademik ini, para guru mengalami perkembangan profesional dan mengadopsi pendekatan yang responsif terhadap perubahan di dunia pendidikan. Keberlanjutan program ini juga menjadi bagian integral dari rencana kurikulum dan pengembangan profesionalisme guru, sejalan dengan semangat Era Merdeka Belajar dalam mencapai pendidikan yang lebih baik dan bermakna bagi peserta didik.

Abstract

The growth rate of Hermetia illucens larvae in the bioconversion of organic waste is influenced by the media and environmental conditions where the BSF lives. This study aims to determine the effect of the feed formula on the growth of Hermetia illucens larvae in the bioconversion of organic waste. This research method was carried out by rearing BSF larvae, making BSF feed formulas, determining larval length, determining the weight and weight of BSF cassava. The results showed that the feeding formula from fish waste, tapioca waste with a chopped diameter of 10,20,30 mm gave a significant effect on the growth of BSF larvae (larval length, larvae weight) and BSF maggots. The provision of 20 and 30 percent fish waste has a higher weight and length with a chopped diameter of 20 and 30 mm.

Abstract

UNM Parang Tambung menerapkan konsep lingkungan yangnyaman dan sejuk. Berbagai jenis pohon telah tumbuh sejak kampus didirikan,namun ada pula yang sengaja ditanam di lahan terbuka. Tumbuhan memilikikategori manfaat utama yang berbeda-beda, salah satu manfaat yangditerapkan disini adalah adanya berbagai jenis pohon dan tumbuhan lainnyadi lingkungan kampus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuijenis-jenis pohon yang tumbuh di UNM Parang Tambung. Metode penelitianyang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini dilakukan dengancara mendeskripsikan secara sistematis data tentang ciri-ciri tumbuhan pohondi UNM Parang Tambung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 956individu pohon terdiri atas 34 species yang tergabung dalam 20 familia.Species-species tersebut adalah Alstonia scholaris, Araucaria heterophylla,Artocarpus altilis, Artocarpus heterophyllus, Averrhoa bilimbi L, Cocos nucifera,Delonix regia Raf, Dimocarpus longan Lour, Ficus benjamina L, Ficus septicaBurm F, Gmelina arborea, Guazoma ulmifolia Lamk, Livistona saribus,Mangifera indica, Mimusops elengi L, Morinda citrifolia L., Moringa oleifera,Muntingia calabura L, Paraserianthes falcataria, Plumeria rubra, Polyalthialongifolia, Pterocarpus indicus Willd, Ptychosperma macarthurii, Roystoneregia, Samanea saman, Senna siamea, Spatodea campanulata P.B, Switeniamahagoni, Syzygium aqueum, Syzygium cumini, Tectona grandis, Terminaliacatappa, Terminalia mantaly, dan Wodyetia bifurcata L.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) on the growth of microalgae. This study was an experimental study using a completely randomized design (RBD) which had 4 treatments and 1 control with 3 repetitions each. The four ingredients for adding sodium bicarbonate had different concentrations, namely 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm and 200 ppm while the Control did not add sodium bicarbonate. Following the Anova analysis technique at a confidence level of α < 0.05, the research data were subjected to Duncan's advanced test using the SPSS statistical software. The results of the study show that the growth of Chlorella sp. microalgae is affected by the addition of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3). This is based on the results of measurements of biomass with the highest average value found in treatment A (addition of sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3 50 ppm) of 2.319 g/L compared to the control average value of 1.819 g/L, different from the results of the chlorophyll-a content obtained there was no effect on the control, where the highest average value of chlorophyll content was 1.459986mg/mL from   the control (K) and the lowest average was 0.937614 mg/mL from treatment C.
