Abstract

Kepercayaan adalah sikap untuk menerima suatu pertanyaan atau pendirian,tanpa mewujudkan sikap pro atau anti. Berdasarkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang TB yang rendah dapat menimbulkan kepercayaan yang keliru tentang TB dan masih didapatkan stigma di masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepercayaan dengan kepatuhan minum obat anti tuberkulosis di wilayah Kerja Rumah Sakit Nene Mallomo Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang.Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif metode analisis Cross Sectional Study dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 233 orang.Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Simple Random Sampling penelitian menggunakan Rumus Lemeshow sebanyak 56 orang. Data diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner tertutup. Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square Apabila (p<0,05) maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima dan Apabila (p>0,05) maka H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak. Pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% (α=0,05). Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh ada pengaruh kepercayaan dengan kepatuhan minum obat anti tuberkulosis p(=0,020). Disarankan kepada responden bahwa kepercayaan terhadap pelayanan dan pengobatan medis perlu ditingkatkan karena kepercayaan dapat menghasilkan sikap responden yang mau melakukan pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit serta yakin bahwa tenaga kesehatan baik dokter atau perawat mampu mengobati dan memberikan penjelasan secara spesifik mengenai penyakit yang diderita.

Abstract

This research was conducted to overcome the lack of integration of socio-scientific issues (SSI) at the Mandalika University of Education, especially the biology education department, and at the same time as a springboard for developing teaching programs. This basic qualitative research aims to identify and explain informal reasoning patterns of biology prospective teachers. In this study, 14 biology prospective teachers as samples were selected purposively, namely students who had taken animal physiology, genetics, and evolution courses. Furthermore, semi-structured interviews using thematic techniques focused on issues of common descent, GMOs, and organ transplants. The findings and conclusions of this study indicate that intuitive and emotive reasoning is the reasoning patterns most used by our respondents in responding to SSI issues. Then, for further research, it is stated briefly in the recommendations section.

Abstract

Indonesia has a target of eliminating all forms of nutritional problems by 2030. However, cases of malnutrition in Indonesia are still relatively high, namely 21.7% stunting, 17.7% underweight, and this figure has decreased over a relatively long period of 20 years, while children's growth and development continues to run. One of the main problems is inadequate protein intake which has an impact on biological systems in the body. To solve this problem, it is necessary to understand the underlying mechanisms related to biological problems arising from malnutrition. Sampling of the human body in children is very limited, so creating experimental animal models is key to help explain biological events like the subjects observed.  This study aimed to evaluate several blood biomarkers in mice given a low-protein diet. This research method was carried out experimentally by giving an LPD (Low Protein Diet) diet for 3 weeks; then blood analysis was carried out. In general, the group of experimental animals given a low-protein diet had lower values of total protein, albumin, creatinine, and bilirubin than the normal diet group. In addition, the average results of the blood analysis also have lower values than normal referent values.   ABSTRAK Indonesia memiliki target dalam menghilangkan segala bentuk masalah gizi pada tahun 2030. Namun, kasus malnutrisi di Indonesia masih relatif tinggi yaitu 21,7% stunting, 17,7% underweight, dan angka ini menurun relatif lama dalam waktu 20 tahun, sementara tumbuh kembang anak terus berjalan. Salah satu masalah utama adalah asupan protein yang tidak akuat sehingga berdampak pada masalah biologis di dalam tubuh. Untuk mencari solusi masalah ini, memahami mekanisme mendasar yang menyeluruh terkait masalah biologis yang timbul akibat malnutrisi perlu dilakukan. Pengambilan sampel pada tubuh manusia untuk apalagi pada anak-anak sangat terbatas, sehingga pembuatan model hewan coba adalah kunci untuk membantu menjelaskan kejadian biologis yang mirip dengan subjek yang diamati.  Tujuan penelitian ini melakukan evaluasi terhadap beberapa biomarker darah pada tikus yang diberikan diet rendah protein. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan pemberian diet LPD (Low Protein Diet) selama 3 minggu, selanjutnya dilakukan analisis darah. Hasil analisis secara umum, kelompok hewan coba yang diberikan diet rendah protein memiliki nilai protein total, albumin, kreatinin, dan bilirubin yang lebih rendah daripada kelompok diet normal, dan  rata-rata hasil analisis darah tersebut juga memiliki nilai yang lebih rendah daripada nilai rujukan normal.

Abstract

This article discusses the application of social learning theory which aims to determine the application of the social concept of the Albert Bandura theory at Al-Wafa Ciwidey Junior High School in Bandung, the supporting factors for the application of the Albert Bandura social learning theory at Al-Wafa Ciwidey Middle School Bandung, the inhibiting factors for the application of Albert Bandura social learning theory at SMP Al-Wafa Ciwidey Bandung. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive with a phenomonological approach. Retrieval of data through the method of observation, interviews. The data source is the teacher of Islamic religious education subjects. After that, it is analyzed by drawing conclusions. The results of this study, the application of social learning theory with the concept of modeling principles in Islamic religious education learning at Al-Wafa Middle School have been applied to aspects of attention, retention, production, and motivation. And the supporting factor in the application of social learning theory is the ability of teachers which includes pedagogic, professional, personal and social skills in guiding, directing and encouraging students to be active during the learning process as well as interesting learning media. While the inhibiting factor is the low motivation of students to learn and less varied learning media. The impact of the application of social learning theory at SMP Al-Wafa Ciwidey Bandung is that students become more ready to learn because at the initial stage the attention stage has been carried out. Then finally students become more motivated because of the reward and punishment system and usually students will be more motivated when learning is packaged in activities such as games.

Abstract

This study portrayed the enactment of Life-Based Learning (LBL) in quantitative research methodology course among Master’s students in biology education. Literature study and action research were employed to capture data. The literature study attempted to unveil how LBL was performed. Furthermore, the action research was in the form of Lesson Study (LS) to carry out the course outline. Practically, characteristics of LBL were performed using authentic materials. These were in the forms of filling out questionnaire of first semester intake, doing peer L, developing mind/concept mapping, assessing peers’ mind/concept mapping, assessing peer portfolio, writing learning journal, doing critical analysis on journal articles, developing research proposal, assessing peers’ critical analysis and performance, uploading files of mind/concept mapping, and presenting critical analysis works. From the action research lens, different-class students preferred varied strategies for similar learning materials and they favored such processes.

Abstract

A successful teacher is a teacher who has competence so that it can increase the enthusiasm and motivation of learning of students, and ultimately will improve the quality of learning felt by students. Teacher competence is very important. We can see from the interest of students in the learning process. For example, such as always doing assignments given by the teacher, not being late in participating in learning, but what the author sees from the research results there are still students who are less focused when learning, lack interest in learning in certain subjects, and there are still students who don't do assignments . It means that the liveliness expected of a teacher in the teaching and learning process is not as expected by the teacher. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Sukabumi in class XII IPS with a total of 167 students. The sample that the researcher took was 25 students, 15% of the total population. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher professional competence on students' learning motivation in the subjects of Islamic religious education and morals in class XII IPS at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Sukabumi. The research model used in this research is a survey model with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique uses Sample Random Sampling. The instrument used is a Likert scale with 5 possible answers (SS = Strongly agree, S = Agree, RG = Undecided, TS = Disagree, STS = Strongly disagree). With the number of questions 15 variables X and 15 variables Y. Based on the results of the regression analysis, it was found that the regression coefficient value was 0.489, this value indicated a positive value. In addition, it is supported by a tcount > ttable (2.407 > 2.069) at a significance level of 0.05 (5%), meaning that Teacher Professional Competence has a positive and significant influence on the Learning Motivation of students at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Sukabumi.

Abstract

Single garlic is known to have many benefits as an alternative therapy for various types of metabolic syndrome. The bioactive compounds, allicin and alliin, in garlic are unstable and easily degraded in digestion. Chitosan-alginate microencapsulation is thought to increase stability and protect active compound so its therapeutic effect is more optimal. This study aimed to characterize the microencapsulation chitosan-alginate of single garlic extract (MCA- SGE), as well as to examine the antioxidant activity and kinetic release of MCA-SGE in vitro. The research procedure includes the steps of single garlic extraction, preparation of MCA-SGE, characterization of MCA-SGE (PSA, SEM, and FTIR) as well as biological testing of MCA-SGE through antioxidant activity and kinetic release tests. PSA results showed the mean particle size of MCA-SGE was 439.0 ± 1.9 nm or 0.4 m with a polydispersity index (PDI) value of 0.579 ± 0.046 and a zeta potential value of 15.4 ± 0.3 mV. The SEM results showed that the morphology of MCA-SGE was spherical with a smooth surface and a micrometre size of 0.4 - 0.7 µm. The FTIR results describe a shift in absorption and addition of SGE functional groups after encapsulation. The results of the antioxidant activity test showed the antioxidant activity of MCA-SGE was 65%, while SGE was 55%. The results of the kinetic release showed that more allicin and alliin were released by SGE than MCA-SGE during the 4-hour kinetic release simulation. MCA-SGE has the potential to be used as a drug delivery system with controlled release.

Abstract

Keterbatasan media pembelajaran di SMA Nasional Malang ditunjukkan dengan sekolah hanya menyediakan buku paket sebagai media pembelajaran. Melihat adanya fasilitas laboratorium komputer yang memadai maka dapat dilakukan penelitian pengembangan Multimedia Interaktif Berbasis adobe flash CS6. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia interaktif, menguji kelayakan multimedia interaktif, menguji kepraktisan multimedia interaktif, dan menguji keefektifan multimedia interaktif berbasis adobe flash CS6. Metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model Lee & Owens. Uji coba dilakukan melalui validasi ahli materi, ahli media, praktisi lapangan dan uji coba. Implementasi dilakukan kepada 21 siswa SMA Nasional Malang. Hasil penilaian ahli materi 100%, ahli media 98,33%, praktisi lapangan 100%, dan uji coba 86,85%, artinya produk produk multimedia valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Sexual violence in Gorontalo Province itself, especially Gorontalo District, from January to December 2019 there were 16 cases of sexual violence against children handled by the Gorontalo Police PPA Unit. This increase in cases is based on various factors. He further revealed that the majority of perpetrators of sexual violence were committed by people closest to the victim, such as uncles, neighbors, relatives and even stepfathers (continued), even biological fathers, the motives were varied, some were due to persuasion, coercion and seduction by lured by money. Meanwhile, legal protection for child victims of sexual violence is still not optimal, for example in terms of treatment which is considered slow, especially in terms of psychological and social treatment. So the protection rights of children who are victims of sexual violence are still lacking. This research aims to determine the efforts made by the Gorontalo Police to overcome and minimize the occurrence of sexual violence against children. This research uses empirical legal research methods, where the author makes direct observations at the interview location with the parties concerned, namely the head of the PPA unit, one person and the head of the police. This research shows that efforts to overcome crime, especially sexual violence against children in Gororntalo Regency, are preventive efforts, namely prevention efforts carried out by the police such as socialization and counseling and repressive efforts are handling efforts carried out if cases of sexual violence against children have occurred by carrying out rehabilitation for the victims. and detention of the perpetrator. Based on the results of research and analysis, the author recommends that: Gorontalo Police PPA Unit is expected to maintain its performance so that children who are victims of sexual violence receive effective protection and to further increase outreach to the community and law enforcement officials regarding cases of sexual violence against children and provide counseling or socialization by law enforcers which is carried out regularly and on target.

Abstract

Background: Malnutrition-induced hepatotoxicity is defined as liver damage caused by insufficient nutrition, which results in oxidative stress and damage to liver cells. Objectives: The present study aimed to investigate the protective effects of banana, cassava, and corn flours on hepatotoxicity induced by malnutrition in male rats. Methods: Twenty-four male rats were divided into six groups (n=4): (1) rats received 30 g/rat normal feed daily for 45 days; (2) rats received 30 g malnutrition feed daily for 45 days; rats received 30 g/rat malnutrition feed daily for 15 days and then treated with normal feed (3), banana flour (4), cassava flour (5), and corn flour (6), for 30 days. The malnutrition groups received a diet with protein deficiency for 15 days, then were treated with a diet according to each treatment group. The liver enzymes were analyzed, including aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels. Furthermore, the liver's histopathological changes in each group were evaluated using Hematoxylin eosin staining. Results: The AST levels in malnourished male rats significantly (p<0.05) increased (240.75±67.23 U/L) compared to the control group (170.00±33.52 U/L). While, the ALT levels (66.75±12.69 U/L) were decreased compared to the control group (98.75±26.61 U/L). Furthermore, malnutrition diet in rats caused significant changes in liver histology, including inflammatory cell infiltration, necrosis, congestion of the central vein, cytoplasmic vacuolization, and widened hepatic sinusoid. Interestingly, normalized AST and ALT levels and improved liver histology were observed in malnourished rats after receiving normal feed and flour of banana, cassava, and corn. Conclusions: Banana, cassava, and corn flours exhibited hepatoprotective activity on malnutrition-induced hepatotoxicity in malnourhised male rats.
