Abstract

In the revised 2013 curriculum, students are required to have skills that fit the challenges of the 21st century. To train these skills is to apply the right model in learning, namely the guided inquiry model. The availability of guided inquiry models in learning can be seen from the lesson plans. All lesson plan at public high schools has not been identified whether they have a guided inquiry model. Therefore, this research aims to find out the availability of guided inquiry models in lesson plan Physics grade XI Semester 1 in high schools. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population data in this study are all lesson plan Physics High School grade XI semester I used by 15 districts in West Sumatra. The samples in this study were lesson plan Physics in high schools grade XI Semester I from 7 schools created by teachers. Based on the research that has been done, the availability of the guided inquiry model in lesson plan physics grade XI semester 1 obtained the results of the analysis that lesson plan with the highest availability category is lesson plan 3 with a percentage of 83.3% in very available category. The lesson plan with the lowest availability is lesson plan 1 and lesson plan 6 with a percentage of 16.67% in the unavailable category. Thus, it can be concluded that the availability of the guided inquiry model in the lesson plans for grade XI semester 1 is categorized as sufficient available.

Abstract

Physics learning in Curriculum 2013 requires teachers to implement all competencies. Attitude competence attaches to the knowledge competence and skill competence. Knowledge competence is obtained through the process of learning in the classroom, while the skill competence is obtained through practicum activities. The reality in school shows that not all teachers do skill competence such as practicum implementation. This is due to the lack of tools and materials and the unavailability of worksheet that has a scientific approach that can be used as orientation for practicum implementation. One solution that can be done is to develop worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT. The purpose of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of worksheet based on the virtual laboratory through ICT on the material balance of rigid body, elasticity, and static fluid in class XI SMAN 1 Padang. The type of this research  is Research and Development (R&D). The object of this research is worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT on the balance material of rigid body, elasticity, and static fluid. The instrument of data collector used is validation test and practicality test sheet. Data analysis technique used is validity test analysis and  practicality test analysis. Based on the data analysis that has been done, obtained the value of validity and  practicality of product that have been developed. This product has a validity value of 90.44. The value of product practicality according to the teacher is 88.46 whereas according to the student is 87.14. This value indicates that worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT is valid and practical use in learning.

Abstract

Education is an important parameter in the progress of a country. moving 21st century education empashasizes the ability of students to think critically, be able to connect sciense with the real word, master information technology to communicate and cellaborate. In the 21 st century human resource are needed which have competence.competence to form comparative, innovative, creative, competitive and collaborative human beings. Physics is a branch of science that has an important role in the development of science and technology, in physics subjects the ability to think logicaly, and systematically can be developed to equip students to be able to face challenges in a increasingly competitive society. The goverment has made various efforts to improve the quality of education. One of them is by applying problem based learning and requiring students to think critically. However, the real conditions at school show that the physics learning has not run well and the problem solving model is not yet fully implemented. One solution that can be used to overcome this problem solving based worksheet to improve critical thinking skills. The type of research is Research and Development (R & D). The object of this research is worksheets based problem solving on static fluid and dynamic fluid  class XI SMA/MA. The instrument for validating this learning material is a questionnaire sheet. The instrument for determining validity consists of six components, namely feasibility, model problem solving, critical thinking presentation, language, and graphics. Validator to obtain the validity of problem solving learning material consisting of 3 validators, namely physics lecturer FMIPA UNP. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistics. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the average value of the validation of physics teaching materials with problem solving on fluid static and dynamic fluid for the components of the six teaching materials is 90.51. Thus, the average value of the validation of physics teaching materials problem solving on static fluid and dynamic fluid can facilitate into very valid categories.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low of knowledge level of competence  from content complexity’s aspects and cognitive levels process that must be mastered by high school students in Padang. The result of observations indicate that it is caused by several factors, one of factor is the unavailable student worksheet (LKPD) as a physics learning materials Padang’s high schools which refers to content complexity and cognitive process as implied by 2013’s curriculum. This study has purpose to produce preliminary analysis to LKPD oriented to content complexity and cognitive process in material dynamics of object motion for physics learning  in tenth grade students of  Senior High School or  Islamic Senior High School, produces shapes LKPD that has been designed, and to know quality of LKPD designed. Type of  this research is (Research and Development / R & D) using  4D models that consist of four stages which are define, design, develop and disseminate in a limited test. Validator consist of three Physics lecturer and tenth grade students as a subject of research. Data of this study include qualitative data obtained from observation, interviews and analysis of documentation and the quantitative data obtained from the validity, practicality and knowledge competency score after using LKPD . The data have been analyzed by using test validity and practicalities to determine the quality criteria of LKPD is in the design and test of effectiveness is limited by using N-Gain test to know the effectiveness of the use of LKPD is in the design of the study of students through pretest and posttest. Based on analysis of qualitative data obtained that have been made stating that the required LKPD containing dimensions of knowledge and cognitive process are complete to improve the competence of learners to fit the curriculum mandated by 2013. Based on the analysis of quantitative data, obtained an average score of 3.46 validity with very valid criteria, the average score of 3.50 practicalities by teachers with very practical criteria and an average score of 3.47 on the responses of learners is very agreed with the criteria as well as the average score of the study of students through the test with limited effectiveness N-Gain test was 0.51 are in the middle criteria, so we concluded that LKPD who has designed a decent used to improve the competence of Physics learners

Abstract

In this 21st century, people are faced with an era of globalization that requires high thinking skills.  In line with the 2013 curriculum, teachers are required to carry out HOTS-based learning.  Factors that determine students can think at a high level are the teacher, students, learning models and teaching materials used.  One of the teaching materials used by teachers is student worksheets (LKS). The results of preliminary observations, it was found that the ability of HOTS students is still low based on the analysis of the results of the UAS grade XI semeseter 1 SMA in Padang.  In addition, the LKS used in West Sumatra is diverse and the availability of HOTS is unknown.  Therefore, research on the analysis of the availability of HOTS on Worksheets for Class XI Students Semester 1. The purpose of the study was to determine the availability of HOTS on the Physics Worksheets for Class XI High School Students Semester 1.This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach.  The population data in this study were all physics textbooks for class XI in semester 1 used by 23 schools in West Sumatra.  Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were taken using LKS presentation analysis instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies.Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the analysis conducted on the availability of HOTS on the Physics Worksheet for Class XI High School Students Semester 1 related to the availability of HOTS components shows that the LKS who obtained the percentage of indicators on the highest HOTS component is the LKS SMA I 28.80%  in the HOTS Less Available category.  Whereas the Physics Worksheet that got the lowest percentage of indicators on the HOTS component, namely the 19.69% SMA IV LKS, was in the HOTS Unavailable category.

Abstract

The learning process demanded by the 2013 curriculum is contextual learning and students are more active in finding non-teacher knowledge which is a source of knowledge. In reality, student learning outcomes are still low and do not involve contextual learning. The solution to this problem is to apply learning resources that emphasize students can learn independently and associate the environment in the learning process. This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes using CTL-based E-modules and CTL-based learning videos at SMAN 15 Padang. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with a Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design research design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAN 15 Padang registered in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Sampling in this study was conducted by combining purposive sampling and cluster random sampling techniques. The sample in this study was class X MIA 4 as Experiment 1 class and class X MIA 5 as Experiment 2 class as many as 72 students. In the analysis of self and social attitude competency data and knowledge of normal and homogeneous distributed data, then through the two average similarity test, on the competence of self and social attitudes obtained tcount = 3.32 and on the knowledge competency tcount = 3.87, while the value T table (0.975; 70) = 1.9966 which proves that the value of Thitung is greater than T table, with acceptance criteria Ho if or -1.996 <th <1.996, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted, meaning that there are significant learning outcomes between application of CTL-based E-modules with CTL-based Learning Videos.

Abstract

The current physics learning process is still not in accordance with the expected conditions, because students are only able to understand the concepts, and have not been able to apply physics learning into daily. The solution of this problem is to use textbooks based on contextual learning and environmental literacy. This study aims to determine the level of practicality of textbooks on kinetic gas theory and thermodynamic materials based on contextual learning and environmental literacy for senior high school students in grade XI. The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) Sugiyono design. In evaluating the practicality according to the teacher and students consists of 4 components and 37 items assessed aspects. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis consisting of practicality analysis. The results of the practicality analysis of 1 teachers with an average value 95,43 and 35 students with an average value 88,88 categories are very well. The conclusion is that the textbook of kinetic gas theory and thermodinamycs based on contextual learning and environmental literacy for senior high school students in grade XI is practically used with a very well practicality level. So, the textbook is feasible to use when learning.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to investigate the effect of worksheet based-problem solving on students' critical thinking skills in rotational dynamics and elasticity . The research design used is posttest-only. The study involved two sample classes: the experiment class and the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of written tests with a model of description questions. The assessment is based on indicators of critical thinking skills that can be observed The results of the study show by applying the same learning model that is the problem-solving learning model, it can be said that both sample classes occurred an increase in the value of critical thinking skills. However, the critical thinking skills of each indicator are higher indicators of analysis, evaluation, and inference in the experiment class compared to the control class, and the average increase in students' grades is seen from final exam scores and the final test scores of the study in the experiment class are higher than the control class. This means that worksheet based-problem solving is instrumental in improving students' critical thinking skills in rotational dynamics and elasticity materials in Grade XI of High School in Kerinci.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the large influence of the use of printed non-printed teaching materials character using scientific approach to the achievement of student competence is limited to mechanical wave material in SMA N 3 Padang. The type of research used is pre-experimental designs with One-Group Pretest-posttest Design research. In this research, experiments conducted by without controlling for influencing variables are treatment alone without any control group. The result of data analysis shows that in the comptence attitude, the average value obtained by students has increased every meeting. On knowledge competence got value y = 0,49x + (- 50,37), value r = 0,83, and value of KD = 68,94%. In skill competence obtained value y = 0,52x + 44,98, value r = 0,50, and value of KD = 25,14%. The working hypothesis which reads "there is influence which means the use of printed non-print teaching materials using a saintifik approach to student competence on mechanical wave material of class XI SMAN 3 Padang" is quantitatively acceptable at the real level of 0,05. Thus, the use of printed non-printed teaching materials using characteristic scientific approaches to student competence

Abstract

Learning demanded by the of 2013 curriculum is learning to student-centered, interactive, multimedia-based, and use the scientific approach. In addition, the 2013 curriculum teachers are required provide character education to students. One of the factors supporting the creation of learning is learning resource. Learning resources is expected to help the learning process and facilitate the learners’ needs such as the learning style. These learning resources are in the form of teaching materials, handouts, modules, and worksheets. However, the teaching materials used by teachers do not correspond to the demands of the 2013 curriculum and has not met the learners’ needs. Teaching materials are used in the form of printed teaching materials that have not been based on multimedia. Instructional materials are still a bit implicitly contains character values. LKS used to load materials and evaluation questions not contain simple experiments using the scientific approach. Therefore, the need to design interactive teaching materials charged character with a scientific approach. This study aims to produce products such as interactive teaching materials charged character with the scientific approach to the static and dynamic fluid material valid.This research is the development (research and development) using 4-D model of development which is reduced to 3-D with the definition phase (define), design (design), and development (develop). Subjects were 5 people validator ie 3 people physics professor FMIPA UNP and 2 physics teachers SMAN 6 Padang. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques.Teaching materials include text, sound, animation, music, and video. Teaching materials containing character values and scientific approach. Based on research that has been done, has produced products such as interactive teaching materials charged character with a scientific approach. Products are categorized valid study of aspects of material substance with an average value of 88%, appearance (visual communication) with an average value of 88.6%, the design of teaching materials with an average value of 89.7%, and the use of software to the average value -rata 93.3%.
