Abstract

Sterilization is the liberation of materials or tools from various living microorganisms or their resting stages. Sterilization methods can be divided into two general groups, namely physical and chemical. Although sterilization can be achieved with certain chemicals, generally physical methods are more reliable. One of the most effective methods for killing microorganisms is using high temperatures. One of the sterilizers that uses the pressurized steam heat method is the autoclave. This review article was carried out with the aim of discussing and providing information to readers regarding the sterilization of tools and materials that will be used in medical and non-medical settings, which is very important in every manufacturing process. Apart from that, we also know the benefits and processes of sterilization that are commonly used, namely steam sterilization.

Abstract

SMA Sultan Agung 3 Semarang memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi contoh dalam pelaksanaan program kesehatan sekolah yang efektif. Untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas kader kesehatan UKS, perlu dilakukan program Pelatihan Pelatih (Training of Trainers/TOT) yang komprehensif. TOT bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada kader kesehatan agar memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan memadai dalam melaksanakan program UKS, khususnya dalam pencegahan stunting melalui perbaikan gizi remaja putri. Program TOT ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan kader kesehatan yang kompeten dan mampu menjadi agen perubahan dalam upaya meningkatkan kesehatan dan gizi remaja putri, yang pada akhirnya akan berkontribusi pada penurunan angka stunting di Indonesia.Pelaksanaan pelatihan TOT di SMA Sultan Agung 3 Semarang dilakukan selama tiga hari, mulai 8-10 Juni 2024, melibatkan serangkaian langkah yang terstruktur. Langkah-langkah ini mencakup perencanaan program, identifikasi kebutuhan siswa melalui FGD, penyusunan media pembelajaran, pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan, evaluasi pelatihan, dan tindak lanjut. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta, yang terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapabilitas kader kesehatan UKS. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan derajat kesehatan siswa di SMA Sultan Agung 3 Semarang dan menjadi model bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam upaya cegah stunting.

Abstract

Samarang is one of the subdistricts in the Garut Regency with the most tourism potential. According to 2021 data from Garut Statistics Indonesia, the tourism potential in the Samarang included nature tourism, cultural tourism, special interest tourism, and artificial tourism. Nature tourism had the highest proportion of approximately 49.15% compared to other tourism. Still, there is limited access to these tourist sites due to considerable distance, damaged road conditions, and remoteness from settlements. This research aims to determine the optimal route, cost, and travel time to access the tourist location. Based on this, the methods used were graph theory and network analysis methods. The distance determination was done using Google Maps and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the shortest distance to access tourist sites in the Samarang from the center of Garut city was about 15.55 km, required the cost of IDR132,000, and travel duration of 52 minutes. At the same time, the results of the network analysis method revealed that the normal route was around 21.35 km, which cost IDR158,000 and required a travel time of 66 minutes.

Abstract

Learning Midwifery practice learning requires media that closely resemble real conditions so that students can optimally develop their clinical skills. The innovation of the SMARTHOM (Smart Phantom) device was developed as a labor delivery simulator based on electromechanical systems and the Internet of Things (IoT), designed to enhance the learning experience in the laboratory. The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility level of the SMARTHOM device as a learning medium for childbirth simulation among midwifery students. This research employed a descriptive approach with a trial method involving 15 midwifery students from Faletehan University. The instrument used was the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess user satisfaction and ease of use of both the application and the simulator device. The results showed an average score of 84.3, which falls under the “highly feasible” category. The highest-rated aspects included ease of use and the functional suitability of the device with the stages of the childbirth process. Overall, the findings indicate that SMARTHOM is effective as a midwifery laboratory learning medium and has great potential for further development into interactive digital learning.

Abstract

Education in remote areas continues to face various problems that affect the quality and equity of learning outcomes. The lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, the shortage of competent teachers, and limited access to learning resources are the main obstacles to implementing effective education in these regions. In addition, the national curriculum, which is uniform in nature, is often less relevant to the needs, potential, and local context of the community. This study aims to analyze educational problems in remote areas and their relevance to adaptive and contextual curriculum design. Using a literature review approach, the study shows that a curriculum aligned with local conditions can improve students’ learning motivation, develop regional potential, and strengthen life skills. Therefore, collaborative efforts among the government, educators, and the community are needed to design a curriculum that can effectively address educational challenges in remote areas in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of resistance to halal tourism in Indonesia, focusing on aspects of legal certainty and social harmony. Although Indonesia has gained global recognition through the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2023–2024 as the world’s best Muslim-friendly tourism destination, the domestic implementation of halal tourism has faced resistance in several regions, including Bali, Labuan Bajo (East Nusa Tenggara), and Lake Toba (North Sumatra). Such opposition generally stems from misunderstandings about the essence of halal tourism, which is often perceived as religiously exclusive, as well as from a legal vacuum (recht vacuum) that leaves its implementation unregulated in a comprehensive manner. This research employs a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach, utilizing library research based on legislation, academic journals, and GMTI reports. The findings indicate that the absence of specific regulations has led to legal uncertainty and potential social disharmony within Indonesia’s multicultural society. Therefore, a national regulation that is inclusive and contextual is urgently needed to provide a clear legal foundation, ensure legal certainty for tourism stakeholders, and maintain social harmony within the framework of Indonesia’s diversity.

Abstract

Advances in technology and research in the field of pharmacy have driven innovation in drug formulation and administration methods to improve the effectiveness and safety of therapy. One of the most widely developed dosage forms is suspension injections, which are sterile preparations containing particles of active ingredients that are insoluble in the carrier fluid. This study aims to review the effects of various administration routes, such as intra-articular, intramuscular, and subcutaneous, on the efficacy and safety of suspension injections. The method used is a literature study analyzing various scientific journals from databases published in the last ten years. The results of the review show that the route of administration has a significant effect on the therapeutic effect, where the intra-articular route provides a strong local effect with low systemic risk, the intramuscular route produces long-term effects and is relatively easy to perform, while the subcutaneous route provides stable drug release over a long period of time. Overall, the choice of injection route for suspension injections should be tailored to the characteristics of the drug, the patient's condition, and the therapeutic goals to achieve optimal, safe, and comfortable treatment outcomes for the patient.

Abstract

Salep mata merupakan sediaan steril yang banyak digunakan dalam terapi mata karena kemampuannya memberikan waktu kontak obat yang lebih lama pada permukaan mata. Keunggulan ini menjadikan salep mata efektif untuk pengobatan infeksi, peradangan, alergi, dan perawatan pasca operasi. Namun, penggunaannya juga menghadirkan tantangan terkait sterilitas, stabilitas, kenyamanan pengguna, dan risiko kontaminasi mikrobiologis, terutama pada sediaan multi-dosis. Artikel ulasan ini bertujuan untuk meneliti studi terkait evaluasi salep mata steril, dengan fokus pada aspek farmasi, klinis, dan mikrobiologis. Metode ulasan naratif diterapkan dengan menganalisis artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang relevan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi salep mata umumnya mencakup penilaian efektivitas terapeutik, keamanan klinis, karakteristik fisik, stabilitas, dan risiko kontaminasi. Evaluasi yang komprehensif dan terintegrasi sangat penting untuk memastikan kualitas, keamanan, dan efektivitas salep mata steril dalam praktik klinis.

Abstract

Depression is a medical disorder that can affect thoughts and disrupt psychological well-being, manifesting as feelings of sadness and loss of interest in life, which may impair an individual’s ability to carry out daily activities normally, and in the most severe conditions, depression can lead to suicidal thoughts or ideation. Depression symptoms can be managed using antidepressants, which help balance brain chemistry. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of antidepressant use on the quality of life of patients with depression at Mental Health Clinic X in Balikpapan. A one-group pre- and post-test design was used, involving 30 patients. Statistical analysis was conducted and presented descriptively. The results indicate that the antidepressant treatment used were not yet fully effective in significantly reducing depression levels, as most patients were still in the early stages of treatment (less than six months). However, the treatment showed considerable effectiveness in improving patients’ quality of life.

Abstract

The full application of cooperative identity and measurement of cooperative financial performance is necessary for the development of cooperatives and increasing public trust in cooperatives. The purpose of this study was to analyze the health of sharia cooperatives in Jepara Regency based on the Technical Instructions of the Deputy for Cooperatives Number 15 of 2021. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Financial Reports of Islamic Cooperatives closing the books for 2021 – 2022. The research method used is descriptive quantitative through the Cooperative Health Examination Working Paper (KKPKK) in accordance with the Technical Instructions of the Deputy for Cooperatives Number 15 of 2021. The research population is sharia cooperatives in Jepara Regency. The sample refers to 5 sharia cooperatives. The results of the analysis show that the overall health level of 5 sharia cooperatives in Jepara Regency in 2021-2022 is in the fairly healthy category with a score of 66-79 and 1 cooperative with a Healthy predicate with a score of 80.22. The implementation of this research is so that it can become a guide for cooperatives in implementing cooperative identity, compiling a complete Cooperative Internal Control Standard, so that it can become a cooperative improvement and development and increase member and community trust in the cooperative
