Abstract

Islamic religious education has undergone a substantial metamorphosis over time, reflecting the dynamics of societal development and the changing demands of the era. This article delineates the journey of the Islamic religious education revolution through paradigm shifts that occurred at Al-Azhar, a prominent institution of higher education in the Islamic world. Through a deep historical analysis, this article explores the significant steps taken by figures such as Muhammad Ali Pasha, Muhammad Abduh, and Muhammad Rashid Rida in bringing about changes to the Al-Azhar curriculum. The process of renewal not only encompasses the integration of modern elements from the West but also involves responding to the challenges of the times. Abstract

The Paradigm of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) with the concept of "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" (mercy to the entire universe) has been a subject of debate and a primary focus from various perspectives. In this view, IRE is seen as a means to understand, interpret, and implement Islamic teachings in a broader and more inclusive context. Various perspectives that emerge encompass aspects such as education, social, and humanitarian concerns. In terms of education, IRE with the "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" paradigm emphasizes the importance of educating individuals with a profound understanding of Islam while also promoting tolerance, mutual understanding, and interfaith cooperation in a pluralistic society. From a social perspective, IRE with this paradigm serves as a tool to promote peace, harmony, and equality in a culturally and religiously diverse society. Moreover, from a humanitarian perspective, "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" emphasizes humanitarian values, justice, and a deep understanding of human rights. Therefore, the IRE paradigm of "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" makes a significant contribution to efforts to create an inclusive, tolerant, and collectively welfare-oriented society.

Abstract

Educators are agents of change who are responsible for meeting the needs of students by seeking the various potentials possessed by students. be it cognitive, affective or psychomotor in accordance with the values ​​of Islamic teachings. Educators occupy their role as one of intellectual formation, morals, and devotion to the Holy Kholik SWT. The research aims to find out HAMKA's thoughts about educational philosophy based on prophetic values. The method in this research uses library research (Library Research). This research uses two types of data sources: primary and secondary. The primary data will use a study of the concept of HAMKA thinking. And the secondary data is from various research journals and books regarding educational philosophy based on prophetic values ​​which are summarized and collected to strengthen theory, a reference for this research. HAMKA's thoughts on educational philosophy based on prophetic values ​​include: Integrating science and morals, humanitarian orientation, critical of secular thinking, the importance of character education.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore how the paradigm of progressive education in theory and practice in the Muhammadiyah organization using historical methods with steps including heuristics, source criticism: internal and external, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the founder of the Muhammadiyah organization, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, played an important role in this matter. His thoughts on Islam, life, and education became the foundation of a progressive education. However, it still strongly stays based on the Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah. The Muhammadiyah organization emphasizes its efforts to improve religious life with practices such as in the field of education. K.H. Ahmad Dahlan is also able to offer a new education model as a renewal of conventional education from Dutch schools and pesantren. Thus, Muhammadiyah’s education can give birth to a new generation that is more “kaffah.”

Abstract

The impression of the loss of manners and ethics in education today is a phenomenon in itself, including in education in Indonesia. Unpraised behaviour in the world of education above would undoubtedly not have happened if all parties prioritised manners, morals and adab. Noble character is one of the things that students must have in addition to the strength of religious spirituality. Religious spirituality has become a new label, style, and identity in educational studies. In Islamic civilisation, spirituality is more synonymous with the term Sufism. This article discusses Sufism as an approach to Islamic religious education which is focused on conventional and transformative Sufism and its implementation in Islamic education in schools. This article uses a literature approach without field research as well as the use of library sources in the form of books, journal articles and other documents that are considered relevant to the discussion. The analysis uses content analysis. From the results of the study, it was found that the implementation of Sufism in Islamic education can be implemented by approaching the relationship between religion and science which offers models of conflict, independence, dialogue and integration. Each of these models has its own consequences. Therefore, in implementing it, it is necessary to consider less harm. Although the implementation is definitely not as easy as imagined. Especially in modern times with the openness of information that can hinder the process of implementing Sufism in Islamic education. Kesan hilangnya adab dan etika dalam pendidikan saat ini menjadi fenonema tersendiri, termasuk juga dalam pendidikan di Indonesia. Prilaku kurang terpuji di dunia pendidikan di atas niscaya tidak akan terjadi jika semua pihak mengedepankan budi pekerti, akhlak dan adab. Akhlak mulia merupakan salah satu hal yang harus dimiliki peserta didik selain kekuatan spritualitas keagamaan. Spiritualitas keagamaan selama ini sudah menjadi label, corak, dan identitas baru dalam kajian pendidikan. Dalam peradaban Islam, spiritualitas lebih identik dengan istilah tasawuf atau sufisme. Artikel ini membahas tentang tasawuf sebagai pendekatan pendidikan agama Islam yang difokuskan pada tasawuf konvensional dan transformatif serta implementasinya dalam pendidikan Islam di sekolah. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kepustakaan tanpa riset lapangan sekaligus pemanfaatan sumber pustaka berupa buku, artikel jurnal dan dokumen lain yang dianggap relevan dengan pembahasan. Adapun analisanya menggunakan content analysis. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa implementasi tasawuf dalam pendidikan Islam bisa diimplementasikan dengan pendekataan relasi agama dan sains yang menawarkan model konflik, independensi, dialog dan integrasi. Pada setiap model tersebut memiliki konsekuensi masing-masing. Oleh karenanya dalam mengimplementasikannya perlu mempertimbangkan lebih sedikit mudharatnya. Walaupun dalam implementasinya pasti tidak semudah yang dibayangkan. Terutama di zaman modern saat ini dengan keterbukaan informasi yang bisa menghambat dalam proses implementasi tasawuf dalam pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

They are cultivating moderation at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu, based in Kompaq. Religious moderation is significant in creating harmony amidst diversity in multicultural Indonesia. This research aims to study how university students understand and apply religious moderation and how it impacts their attitudes towards tolerance and interfaith harmony. This research was conducted qualitatively with a Postpositivism approach involving participatory observation and in-depth interviews. The results showed that students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu understand religious moderation well, which is reflected in their mutual respect and tolerance for differences. In addition, it has been proven that applying religious moderation values helps reduce the likelihood of conflict and increase cooperation between religious groups. The cultivation of Kompaq-based religious moderation at this university affects the entire campus community. The academic environment is expected to be inclusive and harmonious with social activities and educational programs that support moderate values. This study dramatically helps us understand the dynamics of religious moderation among the younger generation and offers suggestions for building religious moderation programs in other educational institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis multimedia di SD Negeri Tegalgondo, Kabupaten Malang. Pengembangan ini dilakukan sebagai respons terhadap tantangan pembelajaran PAI yang sering kali dianggap monoton dan kurang menarik bagi siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah model 4D Thiagarajan (define, design, develop, disseminate) dengan media yang menggunakan aplikasi Smart Apps Creator (SAC) dan Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat mengatasi keterbatasan metode konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media ini valid dan layak digunakan, dengan hasil dari ahli materi berdasarkan persentase rata-rata sebanyak 71,25% dan ahli media sebanyak 73%,89% dengan rerata persentase sebesar 72,57% yang menerangkan bahwa media ini dapat diterapkan namun dengan revisi kecil. Validator mencantumkan hal tersebut pada lembar validasi. Berdasarkan uji coba media pembelajaran dengan penguji cobaan perorangan 63%, penguji cobaan skala kecil 76%, serta uji coba skala besa diperoleh persentase 84% dengan rerata persentase sebesar 74% sehingga media yang dikembangkan memenuhi kategori menarik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gerakan tajdid pada Masjid Darul Hikmah Ponorogo, untuk mengetahui respon perubahan sosial bagi jamaah Masjid Darul Hikmah Ponorogo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan menguraikan, kejadian dengan menguraikan sesuai fakta yang di lapangan baik secara individu ataupun dengan berkelompok. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data, dengan cara melakukan melalui observasi, serta wawancara, dan dokumentsi. Namun teknik analisis data menggunakan teori Miles MB, Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut, memberikan dampak positif bahwa gerakan tajdid di Masjid Darul Hikmah Ponorogo melalui kajian tajdid bidang aqidah setiap 1 minggu tiga kali. Pada malam senin dengan kajian hadits arbain nawawi, malam rabu kajian tafsir Al-Qur'an, dan malam minggu kajian Adab. Serta jamaah yang datangan sangat semangat sekali untuk mengikuti kajiannya sehingga menambah ilmu pengetahuannya semakin meluas, selain itu pematri sangat ahli dibidangnya, jamaah yang mengikuti sangat banyak mulai dari 70 orang hingga 100 orang masing-masing dari pemateri yang berbeda. Lebih menarik lagi kajian ini sangat lama sudah berjalan kurang lebih 15 tahun. Perubahan sosialnya, mengalami peningkatan semakin hari jamaah bertambah banyak maka infaq pula bertambah sehingga sangat peduli dan menjunjung jiwa sosialnya untuk iuran bersama sebesar uang 60,000 ataupun berupa beras 5kg, untuk memberikan infaq kepada tukang becak, tukang sepatu, dan tukang parkir supaya bisa membantu perekonomian mereka yang diadakan setiap bulan pada awal bulan.

Abstract

This research examines the understanding of folklore studies within the framework ofMuhammadiyah values using a literature review approach. Through the analysis of ten relatedarticles, this study explores the relationship between folklore and Islamic values, especially in thecontext of Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan Education. The research results highlight the diversityof Muhammadiyah values reflected in folklore, including moral values, faith and religiouseducation. In the context of character education, folklore is identified as an effective means ofstrengthening the morality and character of individuals and society. In addition, this researchshows a positive relationship between Muhammadiyah values and Learning Theory andCharacter Education, with the application of learning models that support the development ofstudent creativity and involvement. Students' positive responses to folklore learning show therelevance of this study and strengthening Muhammadiyah values in the educational context. Theresults of this literature show that folklore is not just entertainment, but also has great potentialas a medium for character and moral education that is in line with the values of Al-Islam andKemuhammadiyahan.

Abstract

This study discusses the challenges in facing the phenomenon of globalization that can cause negative impacts, for example, weak faith, poor morals, and commendable morals in students. The main objective of this study is to explain the instillation of religious character values based on P2KK at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a case study analysis type. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interview and documentation techniques. Research data taken through interviews in the form of words, voice notes, written documentation of interviews and written event reports. The results of the study show (1) P2KK at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang is designed to equip new students with religious values based on Islamic teachings and Muhammadiyah (2) P2KK at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang instills religious character values in students through an approach based on Al-Ghazali's thoughts, which emphasize worship, sincerity, discipline, and responsibility (3) P2KK activities at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang have a positive impact on the development of students' religious character. This program instills values such as discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and protecting the environment, which are implemented in academic and daily life.
