Abstract

Keberhasilan program konservasi harus didukung adanya partisipasi dan komitmen yang tinggi atas program tersebut. Dengan demikian diperlukan adanya pengelolaan kolaboratif semua pihak. Paling penting dalam kolaborasi ini adalah masyarakat sekitar kawasan konservasi yang mempunyai kearifan lokal dan aturan adat. Partisipasi masyarakat secara mandiri diharapkan akan mendukung keberlanjutan fungsi dari Kawasan konservasi lokasi Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM), yaitu Taman Nasional Way Kambas, lebih khususnya adalah masyarakat Desa Rajabasa Lama I, Kecamatan Labuhan Ratu. Kegiatan PKM telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 Agustus 2022 dengan diikuti oleh 59 orang dan 29 orangnya adalah masyarakat di desa tersebut. Setelah dilaksanakan pretest dan posttest diperoleh hasil bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya program kemitraan konservasi di desa mereka.

Abstract

Way Betung watershed is one of the important water resources in Lampung Province and it provides a clean water for Bandar Lampung City through a regional water supply company (PDAM). By the increase of population and economical activities of Bandar Lampung City, the need of clean water also increase, however by the time, the conditions of Way Betung watershed as water resources are declining. Therefore, to improve or to restore WayBetung watershed, a high cost is needed. The research was aimed: (a) to study the effects of Way Betung watershed land use change on the water resources of Bandar Lampung City, (b) to arrange the sustainable development of Way Betung watershed in order to maintain the availability of water resources. The sustainable developments of water resources of Way Betung watershed were arranged in five alternatives/scenarios and each alternative was related toits erosion (USLE method) and its run off volume (SCS method). The results showed that land use changes of Way Betung watershed (1991-2006) were likely to increase daily maximum discharge (Q max), to decrease daily minimum discharge (Q min), to increase fluctuation of river discharge, and to increase yearly run off coeffcient. The best sustainable development of water resources of Way Betung watershed, Lampung Province, was alternative/scenario-4 (forest as 30% of watershed areas + alley cropping in the mix garden). This alternative will decrease erosion to the level lower than tolerable soil loss and also decrease fluctuation of monthly run off.Keywords: Land use change, run off coefficient, water resources, watershed

Abstract

Rehabilitation of post-mining limestone soils is often a challenge due to a lack of nutrients and poor soil humus. The research aims to study the effect of various ameliorants on soil chemical properties, growth, and P uptake of gaharu plant (Aquilaria malaccensis) in post-mining limestone soil for revegetation of critical land. The research was conducted in a Completely Randomized Design with three replications. The treatments were P0 (Control, without ameliorant); P1 (Humic Acid, HA, 4 kg ha-1 ); P2 (Phosphate Rocks, PR, 350 kg ha-1 ); P3 (Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi, AMF, 500 spores plant-1 ); P4 (HA+AMF); P5 (PR+AMF); and P6 (HA+PR+AMF). Data were analyzed using ANOVA at 95% confidence level and continued with the LSD test. The use of various types of ameliorants (HA, RP, and AMF) significantly increased root length, root volume, wet and dry weight of roots, shoot wet and dry weight, and P uptake of gaharu tree. The best ameliorant in increasing gaharu tree growth was AMF (P3) treatment, and AMF combined with HA (P4) treatment. Thus, for revegetation of critical land, especially post-mining limestone land, using gaharu tree requires HA and AMF inoculation.

Abstract

The decline in mangrove land cover is a serious concern, because it can increase the possibility of sea water intrusion in coastal areas. This research aims to assess the relationship between surface water quality and mangrove density on Pasaran Island. The data obtained were analyzed using the multiple linear regression method to evaluate the simultaneous influence of mangrove density and sampling zone on various water quality parameters, including salinity, dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, and pH. The research results show that the denser the mangrove density, the lower the salinity level, but the density does not affect other water quality parameters, such as: dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, pH. The sampling zone also influences several water quality parameters, where zones closer to the coastline show higher parameter values ​​than transition zones or those further from the coast. External factors such as sea water intrusion and domestic waste pollution play a greater role in influencing water quality. The government should make efforts to conserve and rehabilitate forests and mangrove lands, especially in urban areas.

Abstract

Permasalahan petani agroforestri kopi Kabupaten Tanggamus yaitu produktivitas kopi yang menurun sehingga berpengaruh pada perekonomian masyarakat. Tim PKM Universitas Lampung mengajukan teknik kesehatan hutan berbasis regenerative-resilient untuk memecahkan permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatkan pendapatan petani agroforestri kopi melalui penerapan teknik kesehatan hutan berbasis regenerative-resilient. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Peserta pelatihan dalam kegiatan ini mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pemilihan klon, entres, teknik grafting, jenis pupuk, dan juga metode pemupukan. Selain itu petani juga memahami jenis tanaman yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan kopi, jenis-jenis unggulan tanaman pengisi, dan mampu mengevaluasi tanaman kopi dan keberhasilan tanaman pengisi.

Abstract

Desa Air Bakoman berada di bagian hulu Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Sekampung yang mayoritas warga bekerja sebagai petani. Bagian hulu berperan dalam penyerapan air dan meminimalisir erosi tanah sehingga diperlukan pola tanam dengan pohon sebagai komponen penyusunnya yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan tanaman lain atau dikenal dengan agroforestri. Untuk mendorong penerapan agroforestri diperlukan penelitian yang bertujuan menganalisis kondisi sosial dan ekonomi petani yang menerapkan pola agroforestri di DAS Sekampung. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-November 2024 di Desa Air Bakoman, Tanggamus, Provinsi Lampung. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah petani agroforestri yang berjumlah 50 orang dan ditentukan berdasarkan formula Cochran dengan error 6%. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif berdasarkan indikator aspek sosial dan ekonomi. Sebagian besar petani sudah mengikuti organisasi sosial namun baru sebagian petani yang memanfaatkan akses penyuluhan dan pernah mengikuti pelatihan. Hubungan antar petani sangat erat, jika ada masalah petani memilih untuk meminta bantuan kepada sesama petani. Rata-rata pendapatan petani dari tanaman sebesar Rp 23 juta/ha/tahun dan rata-rata pendapatan petani dari ternak sebesar Rp 3 juta/tahun. Petani mengandalkan sumber pendapatan dari hasil produksi pertanian seperti kopi¸ cengkeh¸ padi¸ jagung¸ lada¸ aren¸ dan lainnya dengan satu saluran pasar dan masih tergantung dengan input eksternal. Petani belum mengasuransikan hasil pertaniannya.
