Abstract

Banyak siswa sekolah mengalami dampak pandemi COVID-19 sejak bulan Maret tahun 2020.Ancaman terhadap kesehatan diri sendiri dan keluarga, penutupan sekolah, beralih ke pembelajaran online,menjaga jarak fisik, dan kemudian tantangan baru muncul, untuk kembali ke sekolah pada Maret 2022.Banyak spekulasi tentang "gelombang kedua" krisis kesehatan mental, terutama untuk anak-anak danremaja usia sekolah. Krisis ini sama merusaknya dengan efek kesehatan fisik dampak dari pandem. Namun,hanya sedikit penelitian yang bertanya kepada siswa tentang pengalaman mereka selama pandemi.Keterampilan psikologis akan membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental mereka. Pengabdiankepada masyarkat berupa psikoedukasi dilakukan pada guru sekolah dasar dan menengah pertama diJakarta. Sebanyak 20 guru mengikuti kegiatan ini. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dilakukan untukmengidentifikasi masalah yang dialami para siswa berdasarkan pengamatan para guru. Psikoedukasimemberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan (praktek) management stress, management emosi, mindfulness,regulasi diri, perilaku prososial, dan art therapy. Hasilnya, menurut para guru beberapa siswa terlihatbersemangat dan senang dengan kebijakan tatap muka 100%. Sementara, beberapa siswa lain sulitmengimbangi materi pembelajaran teman-temannya, kurang termotivasi untuk belajar, dan masih takutdengan penularan virus COVID-19. Pembekalan materi dan keterampilan psikologis yang dilakukan dirasaguru akan membantu siswa menghadapi masa-masa sulit.

Abstract

Cases of verbal and non-verbal bullying often occur around us, whether we realize it or not. This bullying has a negative impact on victims, so it is important to make efforts to prevent and stop cases of bullying. One way to handle cases of bullying is to provide psychoeducation to children about the negative effects that can arise from cases of bullying. For the reason this research was conducted in the form of psychoeducation for dhuafa orphans under the guidance of the At-Taufiq Guntur Mosque, South Jakarta by using the role-playing method which was carried out face to face. Through formative evaluations and observations made after the activity, it was concluded that the role-playing psychoeducational activities carried out proved successful in achieving the goals that had been designed, namely students gain an understanding of bullying and have skills on how to deal with bullying.

Abstract

Abstract. Retaining talented employees in the competitive pharmaceutical industry becomes crucial for company success. This study explores employee engagement's role as a mediator in the influence of perceived organizational support on pharmaceutical employees' retention. The study method used is quantitative cross-sectional. Purposive sampling was used with 212 employees from private pharmaceutical companies, each with a minimum period of 6 months. Data analysis in research using Mediation Regression Analysis. The mediation analysis results showed p=0.001 (p<0.05) that employee engagement plays a significant role as a partial mediator in the relationship between perceived organizational support and employee retention by 6,6%. This study provides insights into the importance of perceived organizational support and employee retention in enhancing employee engagement, enabling companies to retain talented employees in the pharmaceutical industry.Keywords: employee engagement; perceived organizational support; employee retention

Abstract

Era digital yang berkembang pesat membuat berbagai aktivitas kehidupan menjadi lebih mudah, salah satunya dengan penggunaan media digital seperti gawai. Selain bermanfaat, penggunaan gawai juga memiliki risiko yang negatif, terutama bagi anak-anak. Dampak negatif di antaranya yaitu pribadi anak menjadi tertutup, mudah menirukan adegan berbahaya, serta kecanduan bermain permainan. Paparan terhadap dunia digital juga dirasakan oleh orang tua di Desa Pasirtanjung. Mereka mengungkapkan kesulitan mengasuh anak di era digital. Tidak jarang orang tua belum memiliki pemahaman pentingnya pengasuhan positif dalam mengoptimalkan tumbuh kembang anak di era digital. Maka, hal ini cukup penting untuk dilakukan program psikoedukasi kepada orangtua tentang upaya peningkatan kualitas pengasuhan orangtua terhadap anak melalui metode pengasuhan positif orang tua pada era digital di Desa Pasirtanjung, Kabupaten Bogor. Dengan dilakukannya program psikoedukasi ini, orang tua memiliki wadah dan ruang untuk memahami tentang pengasuhan positif di era digital, serta berbagi pengalaman dan berdiskusi tentang pengasuhan anak sehari-hari. Program psikoedukasi ini mengajarkan tentang pengasuhan positif, penerapan dan cara-cara yang tepat untuk melakukan pengasuhan positif di era digital, serta manfaatnya dengan dibantu pemberian media leaflet, pengisian tes, dan poster. Kata kunci: Era digital, Kesadaran pengasuhan anak, Pengasuhan positif

Abstract

Various research and development of learning media related to disaster education have been carried out, such as visual learning media, graphic media, digital media, etc. However, there has been no literature review to explore disaster education learning media for early childhood. Various national and international research journal articles from Google Scholar related to disaster education learning media for early childhood during 2014—2021 will be collected and reviewed using the literature review method, namely reviewing various research journal articles. The result is known that disaster education learning media has a tendency such as: (1) trend; (2) types, especially disaster education learning media for early childhood; and (3) material and media implications for students. This research can be useful for disaster education for early childhood learning media and innovation to be ready for disaster.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to investigate the strategies employed by kindergarten teachers and parents in preparing children's school readiness in the Batang Angkola District, considering the local context and related social dynamics. Design/methods/approach – Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method, the research combines a descriptive approach to outline existing phenomena with a qualitative approach to explore the meanings and interpretations of the strategies used. Data were collected through direct interviews with several kindergarten teachers and parent representatives in kindergartens and surrounding areas in the Batang Angkola District. Additionally, secondary data related to supporting theories on children's school readiness were utilized. Findings – The findings reveal that both kindergarten teachers and parents are not fully prepared for children's school readiness. This is evidenced by the non-alignment of teachers' educational backgrounds with early childhood education and the parents' primary focus on academic readiness, often neglecting other critical aspects such as social and emotional development. Furthermore, the strategies implemented by kindergarten teachers and parents fail to holistically address the needs of children during the transition process. Research implications/limitations – The study is limited to the Batang Angkola District and may not be generalizable to other regions. These findings highlight areas in educational practices that require improvement and suggest the need for further research to develop more effective strategies for holistic school readiness preparation. Practical implications – The insights gained from this study provide guidance for the development of more holistic and integrated school readiness preparation programs that can better support children during their transition to school. These programs should aim to balance academic learning with social, emotional, and physical development to ensure well-rounded preparedness. Originality/value – This research sheds light on the specific challenges faced by kindergarten teachers and parents in the Batang Angkola District, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to school readiness that includes academic, social, and emotional aspects. By addressing these challenges, the study contributes to the broader understanding of effective strategies for early childhood education in similar contexts. Paper type Case study

Abstract

This study aims to identify the teacher's role in developing naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative case study approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The primary data for this study were school teachers, students, grade 1 teachers, grade 3 teachers, grade 5 teachers, grade 6 teachers, and grade IV science teachers. The results of the study show that the teacher has a very important role in the development of naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School. Teachers use learning methods that focus on observation, experimentation, and hands-on experience to help students understand scientific concepts and build naturalist skills. In addition, teachers also provide opportunities for students to develop their interests and talents in natural sciences through activities such as environmental observations, school gardens, and simple research. This study shows that the teacher's role is very important in the development of naturalist intelligence in science learning at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School. In developing naturalist intelligence, teachers must be able to identify the needs and interests of students and choose appropriate learning methods. In addition, teachers must also help students develop naturalist skills through activities that are relevant to their context and environment. This research can be a reference for teachers and schools in developing science learning that is effective and oriented towards developing students' naturalist intelligence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman kesiapsiagaan menghadapi bencana banjir pada anak usia dini, karena pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana bagi anak usia dini di Indonesia masih sangat rendah. Kurangnya pemberian pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan bencana khususnya bencana banjir pada anak disebabkan oleh praktik pembelajaran yang kurang efektif, karena guru belum menggunakan media pembelajaran yang beragam. Maka penelitian ini merancang produk aplikasi game edukasi berbasis komputer yaitu media pembelajaran yang menampilkan simulasi kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mendesain media pembelajaran untuk pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan desain model ADDIE (Analize, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluate). Teknik pengumpulan data berupa validasi ahli (Ahli PAUD, Media, Bahasa, dan Kesiapsiagaan Bencana) data uji coba lapangan. Penelitian dilakukan di TK Kelompok B wilayah Kabupaten Lebak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan edukasi SIGANA Banjir layak digunakan untuk memberikan pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir pada anak. Materi pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana banjir pada game ini mencakup : pemahaman bahaya dan sistem peringatan dini; pemahaman mengambil tindakan untuk melindungi diri; pemahaman mengurangi dampak bencana.

Abstract

There are many problems that adolescents experience with mental health, but unfortunately these are foten not addressed by professionals. This is due to adolescents' lack of mental health literacy, fear of stigma, and feeling that professional help is not important. The prupose of this study is to examine the influence of mental health literacy, Coping srategies, and help-seeking behavior in adolescents. Several previous studies have examined that the relationship between mental health literacy with help-seeking behavior and Coping strategies with help-seeking behavior. The result explain that there is a relationship between mental health literacy with help-seeking behavior and Coping strategies with help seeking behavior. No research has been found that examines the role of mental health literacy and Coping strategies on help-seeking behavior in adolescents. This study used a quantitative method with a questionnaire for a data collection. The measuring instruments used were the Mental Health Knowledge Questionnaire (MHKQ) by Jung et al., (2016), the Coping Stress Scale developed by Akhtar and Helmi (2014), and the Help Seeking Behavior Scale created by Mackenzie, et al. (2004). All three measuring instruments have been adapted and pilot tested. The findings showed that mental health literacy and Coping strategies have a positive and significant effect on adolescent help-seeking behavior. Abstrak Banyaknya permasalahan yang dialami remaja terkait kesehatan mental, namun sayangnya hal ini sering tidak mendapatkan penanganan oleh professional. Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya literasi kesehatan mental yang dimiliki remaja, kekhawatiran akan stigma dan perasaan bahwa bantuan professional tidak penting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat pengaruh literasi kesehatan mental, strategi Coping terhadap perilaku mencari bantuan pada remaja. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu telah mengkaji hubungan antara literasi kesehatan mental dengan perilaku mencari bantuan serta strategi Coping dengan perilaku mencari bantuan. Hasilnya menjelaskan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara literasi kesehatan mental dengan perilaku mencari bantuan dan strategi Coping dengan perilaku mencari bantuan. Belum ditemukan penelitian yang mengkaji peran literasi kesehatan mental dan strategi Coping terhadap perilaku mencari bantuan pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan kuesioner untuk pengambilan data. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Mental Health Knowledge Questionnaire (MHKQ) oleh Jung dkk. (2016), Coping Stress Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Akhtar dan Helmi (2014), dan Help Seeking Behavior Scale yang dibuat oleh Mackenzie, dkk. (2004). Ketiga alat ukur telah diadaptasi dan diuji coba. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi kesehatan mental dan strategi Coping berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku mencari bantuan pada remaja.

Abstract

Abstract Adolescence is a phase full of turmoil that often causes psychological problems such as stress. Some stressors, such as conflict and tension, affect adolescents' negative emotions. This makes them tend to follow their emotions in their behaviors and actions. Adolescents filled with negative emotions can have a negative influence on others, have concentration problems, always or like to be alone, have self-adjustment struggles, and be not focused. Emotion problems in adolescents include anxiety or depression, social withdrawal or stress, social issues, thinking problems, concentration problems, behavior that violates rules or norms, and lastly aggressive behavior. The ups and downs of emotions experienced by adolescents make the ability to control emotions crucial. One of the psychological aspects that can reduce negative emotions and increase positive emotions is emotional control. The ability of individuals to manage and control emotions is called emotional regulation. Emotional regulation is the ability of individuals to manage and control their thoughts, behaviors, and expressions related to the emotions they are feeling. The participants of this community service were teenagers in Pasir Tanjung Village, Tanjungsari Sub-district, Bogor. The program was carried out by providing training on emotional regulation. Keywords: training; adolescence; emotional regulation; positive emotion Abstrak Remaja adalah fase yang penuh dengan gejolak yang sering menimbulkan masalah psikologis seperti stres. Ada beberapa stresor seperti konflik dan tekanan memungkinkan untuk memunculkan emosi negatif pada remaja. Hal ini membuat remaja cenderung mengikuti emosinya dalam perlakuan dan tindakan. Remaja yang dipenuhi emosi negatif mampu memengaruhi orang lain dengan negatif, sulit berkonsentrasi, selalu atau senang menyendiri dan juga tidak fokus dan mengalami kesulitan dalam penyesuaian diri. Permasalahan emosi pada remaja antara lain kecemasan atau depresi, menarik diri atau tertekan, keluhan somatik, masalah sosial atau pergaulan, kesulitan berpikir, kesulitan konsentrasi, perilaku melanggar aturan atau norma, dan yang terakhir perilaku agresif. Kondisi naik turunnya emosi yang dialami remaja membuat kemampuan mengontrol emosi menjadi sengat penting. Salah satu aspek psikologis yang mampu menurunkan emosi negatif dan meningkatkan emosi positif adalah dengan cara mengendalikan emosi, kemampuan individu dalam mengendalikan dan mengontrol emosi disebut regulasi emosi. Regulasi emosi merupakan kemampuan individu untuk mengelola dan mengontrol pikiran, perilaku, serta ekspresi terkait emosi yang sedang dirasakannya. Subjek pengabdian masyarakat adalah remaja di Pasir Tanjung, Tanjungsari, Bogor. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan memberikan pelatihan tentang regulasi emosi.
