Purpose- This study aims to (1) analyze the influence of university readiness on technology readiness, mediated by the readiness of prospective economics teachers, and (2) identify key socio-institutional factors affecting the technological preparedness of future educators in Indonesia.Methodology- Data were collected via an online survey of 400 economics education students across East Java, Indonesia universities. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3.0 was employed to test hypotheses and evaluate the mediating role of prospective teachers' readiness.Findings— University readiness, directly and indirectly, enhances technology readiness by mediating perspective teachers' preparedness (β = 0.48, p < 0.001). However, disparities in technological readiness among participants were linked to contextual factors such as family environment (21% variance), financial constraints (18%), and institutional culture (35%). Universities emerged as pivotal actors, contributing 62% to developing prospective teachers' technological competencies.Cortribution– The findings underscore the critical role of higher education institutions in designing targeted interventions to bridge socio-institutional gaps and strengthen technological readiness. Recommendations include curriculum reforms integrating adaptive training modules and collaborative policies addressing financial and cultural barriers. This study provides a framework for fostering equitable and sustainable technology integration in economics teacher education programs.

The lecturer is a profession with two different functions: a teacher and a researcher. Teaching and research activities are inseparable and reciprocal and provide great benefit for lecturers. But, doing those activities simultaneously makes a high workload for the lecturer. This research employed the job demands-resources model to investigate the link between teacher-researcher role conflict and psychological well-being. This research was carried out on 250 lecturers in East Java, coming from three big cities, Surabaya, Malang, and Jember, taken by random sampling. Structural equation modelling was used to examine the research model. The results found that the teacher-researcher role conflict has a significant negative effect on work enthusiasm. On the contrary, the teacher-researcher role conflict has a significant positive effect on emotional exhaustion. These findings provide evidence to stakeholders (Universities and The Ministry of Education and Culture) to be more concerned about the dual role that lecturers must carry out as a teacher and a researcher.

Aspects of community education, namely the average length of schooling (RLS) and Community Vocational Skills (CVS), are important to know community welfare, one of which is seen from the open unemployment rate (TPT). Thisstudy aims to analyze: (1) The relationship between RLS and TPT, (2) The effect of CVS on TPT, (3) The role of economic growth (EG) as a moderator between RLS and TPT, and (4) The role of economic growth (EG) as moderation between CVS and TPT, in Sidoarjo, East Java using 2019-2023 data. Using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, the findings show that people's vocational skills are the main thing that affects TPT levels. However, the study notes that economic growth failed to moderate the relationship between RLS and CVS on TPT. The role of the government is crucial to improve vocational skills in the form of massive training for prospective workers with related industries.

Method: This research used a development research model. Model development in teaching materials contextual-based and problem-solving used model 4-P is adapted from the development model of the 4-D by Thiagarajan. Results: Recently, we revealed a novel acquisition of statistics textbooks at a very feasible level. A very practical level of practicality was obtained by the perception of 87% of students and 80% of lecturers, and then the effectiveness of the category is very effective with 80% classical completeness. Novelty: Therefore, this statistics textbook for economics education attempts to integrate a project-based learning model, from pre-research to publication, to provide students with a comprehensive research experience. This is based on validation results from various aspects, including material coverage, updates, and productivity insights. Based on the material coverage, there is a good match between the available core competencies and students' needs for the material.

Many students see that cheating during an exam is the most effective way to improve academic grades. Many of them do that because they think teaching the lecturer is less credible. This study aims to determine whether the credibility of lecturers and student dishonesty can affect the level of economic literacy of students. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 77 students and analyzed using a quantitative approach. The results showed that the higher the credibility of lecturers, the lower the academic cheating. The more credible the lecturer, the higher the economic literacy of students. However, it turns out that student academic cheating does not determine the level of economic literacy of students. The exciting thing from the results of this study is that the ability of lecturers to answer questions turns out to determine students' perceptions about the credibility of their lecturers. Still, when students call lecturers more credible, it makes students commit fraud.

Surabaya is the second-largest city in Indonesia. There is great hope for prospective teachers in Surabaya to have high credibility because their salaries are equivalent to the City Minimum Wage. The salary is the largest when compared to other cities in East Java province. The favorite field of science in social science is economics. However, to determine the basic economic knowledge that students will have in schools properly, it is the economics teacher who plays a big role. So it is necessary to research economic knowledge for prospective economics teachers before they become actual teachers. This study aims to determine how deep the basic knowledge of economics is in students of the Economic Education study program in Surabaya, where they are prospective economics teachers. This research method applies descriptive statistical methods. The survey was conducted on 338 students who are prospective economics teachers. There are only two Economic Education study programs in Surabaya, namely the State University of Surabaya (Unesa) and the IKIP Widya Darma Surabaya (IWIDA). All populations in this study were used as samples. The results showed that Unesa was indeed superior in understanding basic economics. The most important implication is that Unesa needs to pay special attention to prospective economic teachers who are female, come from private schools, come from outside the city of Surabaya, and come from SMK. Meanwhile, IWIDA needs to pay special attention to prospective economic teachers who are female, come from private schools, come from Surabaya, and come from MA.
