Abstract

This study discusses the numerical study of two-dimensional analysis of flow through circular cylinders. The original physical information entered in the equation governing most of the modeling is transferred into a numerical solution. Fluid flow on two-dimensional circular cylinder wall using high Reynolds k-ε modeling (Re = 106), Here we will do 3 modeling first oder upwind, second order upwind and third order MUSCL by using k-ε standard. The general procedure for this research is formulated in detail for allocations in the dynamic analysis of fluid computing. The results of this study suggest that MUSCL's third order modeling gives more accurate results better than other models.

Abstract

The development of automotive technology is increasing rapidly along with the high level of competition among producers. According to data compiled by the Association of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry (AISI) in 2015-2016 there was an increase in the number of motorcycle sales of about 4.6% or an increase of 5.8 million units for. The high level of sales and technological developments leaving the problem for the automotive business itself. One of the problems that often happens is the slow absorption of technological progress to the hands of users. Motorcycle service workshops and bottom-line businesspeople are very vulnerable to the impact of this technology transfer process. This situation indirectly affects the sluggish economic movements among the bottom because they lack access (training and access to the latest sources of technology references). This situation should be a special concern for the top of the automotive business activists and also practitioners / academics related to the rapid development of technology produced can give impacts of rapid economic growth also for lower-level business people.The Up Grade skill program of motorcycle service involves a partner group (workshop) consisting of 6 people mechanics who are still in the beginner category. The training materials provided are tune up, conventional motorcycle overhaul (carburetor) and tune up injection motorcycle. Training is held for 2 full days (equivalent to 20 hours) with competency test process on the last day of the program. From the training activities can be seen the improvement of mechanical competence obtained from the pre-test at the beginning of the training and post test at the end of the activity.Through the program of Community Service of Regular Science and Technology is expected proposers can play its role as an academic in helping accelerate the process of technology transfer, especially for lower-level business people who do have limited access to technology. After the end of this program is expected to increase the mechanical skills as well as the increased service quality and competitiveness of partner workshops.

Abstract

Tingkat keterserapan lulusan SMK di Pesisir Selatan untuk bekerja sesuai bidang keahliannya yang ada masih kurang dari 50% dari jumlah lulusan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh keterbatasan fasilitas pratikum, ilmu yang diberikan kurang up to date, serta jumlah guru produktif yang masih kurang. Pembelajaran kewirausahaan masih bersifat teoritis, belum menyentuh ide-ide kreatif siswa untuk bisa menghasilkan produk-produk yang layak jual sesuai dengan ilmu yang mereka pelajari. Pertumbuhan lapangan kerja tidak sebanding, menjadikan tingkat persaingan bekerja semakin ketat. Untuk menyiapkan lulusan yang siap kerja maka tim memberikan pelatihan keterampilan dan program pendampingan untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas dan inovasi siswa yang akan tamat dalam menghasilkan produk-produk kreatif sebagai cendaramata dan bernilai jual di objek wisata Pesisir Selatan. Metode yang digunakan selama kegiatan pelatihan berlangsung adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, dan bimbingan. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat dengan tema Rancang Bangun produk Inovatif dalam Rangka Menyiapkan Lulusan SMK Yang Mandiri, telah diselenggarakan pada tanggal 02 s.d 05 Agustus 2019, menghasilkan keluaran PKM berupa 16 unit lampu hias dari pipa paralon yang dihiasi cangkang kerang, peningkatan keterampilan peserta latih, bahan ajar kewirausahaan dan publikasi di media sosial internet. Kegiatan ini menumbuhkan ide-ide kreatif peserta latih dalam menghasilkan sebuah produk yang bernilai jual dengan memanfaatkan bahan yang ada disekitarnya.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi tersebut telah mencakup di segala bidang aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) merupakan salah satu perkembangan yang sangat pesat, di mana era ini membawa iklim yang semakin terbuka untuk saling bekerja sama dan saling melengkapi.Masalah yang paling menonjol adalah praktek pada mata pelajaran Teknik Sepeda Motor, selain kekurangan dalam alat dan bahan praktek juga dihadapkan dengan kondisi alat dan bahan praktek yang sudah using (out of date) dari sisi teknologi, akibatnya siswa ketika lulus ilmu mereka jauh ketinggalan dengan yang dibutuhkan dunia kerja.Dari kendala yang dialami oleh siswa SMKN 1 SMKN 1 Luak Kab. Lima Puluh Kota maka TIM PKM Jurusan teknik Otomotif Universitas Negeri Padang, melihat ada peluang untuk melakukan pengabdian untuk membantu memberikan solusi dengan permasalahan yang ada yakninya memeberikan pelatihan tentang Pelatihan Perawatan Sepeda Motor PGM FI (Programmed Fuel Injection), kegiatan yang di tawarkan adalah memberikan keterbaruan ilmu bagi siswa dalam menyelesaikan praktek dengan menggunakan tipe kendaraan sepeda motor yang sudah berbasis teknologi full elektronik secara komputerisasi.Metode pendekatan yang digunakan ada dua yaitu dengan metode classroom dan practice. Dimana kegiatan akan dilakukan secara tatap muka dengan beberapa kali pertemuan dan untuk tindak lanjut akan dilakukan dengan pembimbingan. Kedepannya akan di tunjuk beberapa guru yang sudah cukup mampu dan cakap dalam melakukan pembimbingan.

Abstract

The completeness and feasibility of infrastructure in the world of education is something that must be considered and fulfilled. This has an impact on learning outcomes and students' abilities. This study aims to determine the feasibility of facilities and infrastructure in the light vehicle engineering electrical practice workshop at Padang 1 State Vocational Education School. This research uses descriptive analysis method. Research data obtained from interviews, documentation, and direct observation at school. The data on facilities and infrastructure that has been obtained is then compared with the standards of facilities and infrastructure listed in the Regulation of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Indonesia number 40 of 2008 and the National Education Standards Agency number 1049-P2 of 2010/2011. The results showed that the level of feasibility of the facilities and infrastructure for the electrical practice light vehicle engineering Padang 1 State Vocational Education School was 56.42% and 53.32% which were included in the feasible category. Existing electrical practice learning facilities and infrastructure can still be used and schools are expected to improve their quality.

Abstract

Numerous obstacles must be overcome by vocational schools, particularly in the area of developing technical and practical knowledge. The provision of skills improvement and reskilling for teachers and students, especially in the field of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) in gasoline-powered vehicles, is the most fundamental issue at SMKN 1 Lembah Melintang that needs special attention, particularly for Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering (TKRO). The program's goal is to increase teachers' and students' proficiency in the use of tools and procedures for regular maintenance of the EFI system in cars. With a portion of 30:70, the participants will receive both theoretical and practical training. The results of the pretest and posttest show that this program has increased the competence and expertise of teachers and students. This is proved by significant growth from the prior competency in the use of tools and circular work steps, with student gains of 24% and teacher gains of 14%.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to (1) describe the entrepreneurial spirit of automotive engineering students, (2) describe the motivation of the entrepreneurial spirit of automotive engineering students, and (3) see whether entrepreneurship and motivation have a relationship between For automotive engineering students This research is a descriptive analysis research. , regression and correlation, data collection was carried out using questionnaires and literature studies as additional data. In this study, the sample was 8th semester students as many as 35 students. Survey Results (1) The level of student entrepreneurship attitude for entrepreneurship is 71.36% in the "good" category. (2) while for motivation in entrepreneurship with a value of 76.64% with a level of "good" category. (3) Analyzing the relationship between entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship with product moment, obtained a score of 0.655, with a coefficient of determination of 53.40%, and it is known that the variable for attitude to entrepreneurship has an influence with the motivation variable for entrepreneurship with a value of 54.40%, and which has other influences. is the personal ability of students, environmental conditions, family and friends around them

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mixing citronella oil additives as a mixture of fuel oil on motorcycle engine performance. This study uses an experimental method conducted at Teqleck Speedshop Padang using a Honda Beat Street motorcycle. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it was found that the composition of the mixture of citronella oil additives by 2% in 1 liter of Pertalite fuel oil as an ideal mixture can improve engine performance optimally with the power generated by 5.72 kW, the torque generated by 8.92 Nm, the resulting top speed is 9.1 m/s. The acceleration is 5.86 m/s2 to reach maximum speed in a short time. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pencampuran zat aditif minyak serai wangi sebagai campuran bahan bakar minyak terhadap performa mesin sepeda motor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekperimen yang dilakukan di Teqleck Speedshop Padang dengan menggunakan sepeda motor Honda Beat Street. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa dengan komposisi campuran zat aditif minyak serai wangi sebesar 2% dalam 1 liter bahan bakar minyak perlalite sebagai campuran idealnya dapat meningkatkan performa mesin secara optimal dengan daya yang dihasilkan sebesar 5,72 kW, torsi yang dihasilkan sebesar 8,92 Nm, top speed yang dihasilkan 9,1 m/s, dan akslerasi nya 5,86 m/s2 untuk mencapai kecepatan maksimum dalam waktu yang singkat.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a car air conditioning (AC) simulator. The vehicle's air conditioning system is transferred to a stand panel with an electric motor drive. The selection of an electric motor simplifies operation, maintenance, and practicality because the AC system does not require much time to warm up. The rotation of the electric motor is regulated by an inverter so that the performance of the AC system matches the actual performance. The R and D approach was selected for this investigation. The technique begins with examining an existing simulator, followed by planning, creating, expert validation, and completion of the simulator. The expert validation of the material's feasibility yielded a score of 3.73 with a highly feasible category, a score of 3.45 with a viable category for media, and a score of 3.20 with a feasible category for efficacy. It has been demonstrated that, on average, there is a 36.18 percent improvement in comprehension when this technique is utilized. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat simulator air conditioner (AC) mobil dengan cara memindahkan sistem AC dari mobil ke panel stand dengan penggerak motor listrik. Pemilihan motor listrik adalah untuk mempermudah pengoperasian, perawatan serta kepraktisan karena tidak butuh waktu yang lama untuk pemanasan sistem AC. Sebuah inverter digunakan sebagai pengatur putaran motor listrik, sehingga kinerja sistem AC sesuai dengan kinerja sebenarnya. Metode R and D dipilih dalam penelitian ini. Metode diawali dengan mengamati simulator yang sudah ada, merencanakan, mengembangkan, melakukan validasi simulator oleh ahli, dan finalisasi simulator. Hasil validasi ahli untuk kelayakan materi memperoleh nilai nilai 3.73 dengan kategori sangat layak, untuk media memperoleh nilai 3.45 dengan kategori layak, serta untuk keefektifan dengan nilai 3.20 dengan kategori layak. Pada saat digunakan, terbukti ada kenaikan pemahaman dengan rerata 36.18%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design a simulator for a car air conditioning system as a learning medium, so that the learning objectives can be achieved properly and in accordance with the expected competencies. This design uses an electric motor drive to drive the AC system compressor so that it is easier to operate and does not produce air pollution and is made with a design that can be moved easily by having sturdy wheels. The electric motor is also equipped with an inverter that can adjust the rotation of the motor as in the conditions of a real car engine. This research model uses Research and Development which includes the stages: problem analysis, seeking information, designing a model, validating the design, evaluating the model, testing the model, revising the model, wider testing, finalizing the design. The results obtained are the creation of an AC simulator that has been validated by experts in terms of media and material in the very feasible category, then from the user side with 25 respondents giving a value in the very feasible category for use in learning. The increase in competency occurred by 23.90% with a comparison of the pretest value with the posttest value.
