Abstract

Pematang Gubernur Subdistrict is a residential area with relatively high population density and diverse community activities. However, limited directional information signs are still found in RT 29 RW 01, particularly regarding public facilities and strategic locations. This condition makes it difficult for visitors and newcomers to navigate the area. This community service program aims to provide environmental information media through the creation and installation of Strategic Direction Signboards (PANTERAS). The implementation methods include field observation, signboard design, construction, installation at strategic points, and brief socialization to residents. The results show that the signboards help improve environmental order and facilitate access to location information for the community.

Background: The integration of gamification in education has emerged as an effective strategy to enhance student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes. However, many vocational school teachers lack the necessary skills and knowledge to design gamified learning experiences that align with the unique characteristics of vocational education.Aims: This paper aims to empower vocational school teachers with competencies in designing gamification-based learning strategies. The scope includes exploring teachers’ understanding of gamification principles, developing their design skills through training and workshops, and assessing the effectiveness of these interventions in enhancing vocational teaching practices. Methods: A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. Teachers participated in hands-on workshops focusing on gamification frameworks, digital tools, and practical design projects tailored to vocational learning contexts. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify changes in teachers’ knowledge, skills, and confidence. Results: The results indicated that the teacher empowerment program significantly improved teachers’ ability to design gamification-based learning strategies. Teachers demonstrated increased creativity, improved alignment between gamified activities and vocational learning objectives, and greater confidence in using digital tools. Quantitative findings showed that 85% of participating teachers exhibited improved competence after the training program, with average post-test scores increasing from 62.4 to 84.7. Furthermore, 78% of participants reported a high level of readiness to implement gamification in their classrooms. Conclusion: Empowering teachers in gamification design is an effective approach to strengthening vocational education. It enhances teachers’ pedagogical competencies, promotes learner-centered instructional practices, and supports continuous professional development to meet the evolving demands of vocational education.

Abstract

Regional identity is an essential element in building a sense of community and facilitating public orientation in daily life. However, not all areas have clear markers, which often creates difficulties for both residents and visitors in identifying territorial boundaries. The installation of RT name signs aims to provide clear identification for the RT 07 RW 04 area in Betungan Sub-district while increasing residents' sense of ownership and pride in their environment. The methods used include location surveys, discussions with community leaders, design and production of name signs, and installation at strategic, easily visible points. The results indicate that the installation of name signs has positive impacts, including easier area identification for residents and guests, improved environmental aesthetics, and strengthened community identity. Additionally, this activity strengthened social interaction through collective work and increased residents' awareness of the importance of territorial administrative order. Thus, installing name signs can be a simple yet meaningful step in building an organized, easily recognizable environment with a strong identity. Betungan Sub- district, specifically RT 07 RW 04, previously had no clear markers on each street and alley, so we from KKN-T took the initiative to participate in making and installing name signs. This activity was accompanied by the Head of RT 07 and local residents. Our hope is that with these name signs, the RT 07 area can be more easily recognized, facilitate access for guests or officers visiting, and most importantly, increase residents' pride in their own environment. We hope these signs will continue to be maintained and become part of a better RT 07 identity going forward.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and artificial intelligence has significantly impacted the field of education. However, several challenges remain in implementing digital technology in schools, including low digital literacy, limited understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and insufficient skills among teachers and students in utilizing technology effectively. This community service activity aimed to improve the understanding and skills of students and teachers regarding the collaboration between humans and AI in supporting learning processes. The implementation methods included observation, counseling, training, interactive discussions, and evaluation activities. The program was conducted at SMA Negeri 10 Kabupaten Seluma involving teachers and students as the main participants. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of the use of AI in education, greater awareness of responsible technology use, and improved student motivation in utilizing digital technology to support learning activities. Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Padang Makmur Village, Betungan Urban Village, Bengkulu City, a densely populated area with a population of approximately 500 residents. The primary problems identified were the absence of regional identity in the form of street name signs, a lack of adequate waste disposal facilities, and minimal educational media regarding environmental cleanliness. These conditions made regional navigation difficult and led to unorganized household waste management. The objective of this service was to create a more organized, clean, and healthy environmental governance through the provision of basic infrastructure. The problem-solving method was carried out through three main stages: coordination with village officials, strategic location surveys, and physical implementation of the work programs. The results showed that the installation of street name signs facilitated regional identification and population administration. The provision of separated organic and non-organic trash bins in public areas, along with the installation of educational boards, successfully encouraged the community to begin sorting waste at the source. Through these steps, environmental issues in this area were resolved systematically, creating a more orderly, healthy, and sustainable village environment for the local community.

Abstract

In a school, the ranking of outstanding students is usually only chosen based on their final grades, and this is also the case at SMK 03 Bengkulu City. The selection of outstanding students at SMK 03 Bengkulu City is only based on report card scores which are ranked 1 to 5. In the selection process, there are many opportunities for making wrong decisions because the student selection process is only based on one aspect, namely the student's final grade, while the attitude and achievement scores obtained outside of school are not taken into consideration as additional criteria for determining students who are considered to be successful and get scholarship. This means that it is very likely that the selected outstanding students do not reach the desired standards which does not get the best candidates. The purpose of this research is as an alternative way for schools to determine outstanding students so that it is not only based on academic scores, and there is no cheating in selecting outstanding students. The method used in this research is Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The results of this research show that SAW method can provide the best results from the criteria and weights that have been determined. From the results of calculations using the SAW method, a student named Ceci Dinda Trangilang obtained a preference value of 0.96

Abstract

The development of Science and Information Technology is currently increasingly rapid, making it easier for all elements of society to use data and information quickly and accurately, one of which is using expert systems. This study aims to create an expert system for diagnosing schizophrenia, because schizophrenia is one of the mental disorders with the most patients at the Soeprapto Bengkulu special mental hospital. This expert system uses the Dempster Shafer method, a mathematical theory based on functions or belief values that is used to combine and calculate the probability of a phenomenon. This application can be accessed by patients through the registration room so that staff and patients can quickly carry out consultations without waiting for a doctor and it is hoped that it can be used by patients in early diagnosis to prevent more serious diseases. This system is designed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, therefore the resulting expert system is able to help patients diagnose schizophrenia as well as provide fast and precise solutions to the disease they are experiencing.
