Abstract

This study analyzes factors influencing vocational high school (SMK) teachers' performance using the Rasch Model. It examines the impact of teaching experience, employment status, certification, and educational qualification on four competencies: Learning Planning and Implementation (LPI), Professionalism Development and Learning Media (PDL), Administration and Ethics in Teaching (AET), and Evaluation, Guidance, and Learning Innovation (EGL). A quantitative survey was conducted with 452 vocational teachers in Lampung Province. Data were analyzed using Rasch Model fit statistics, Differential Item Functioning (DIF), and Wright Map analysis to evaluate teacher competency levels and assessment validity. The results show that teaching experience significantly influences performance, with senior teachers excelling in AET and EGL. Civil servant teachers (PNS) demonstrate greater consistency, while honorary teachers show higher adaptability. Certified teachers perform better in structured pedagogy but show less engagement in instructional innovation. Postgraduate teachers (S2) participate more in professional development but exhibit varied teaching approaches. The Wright Map confirms a strong differentiation in competency levels, while DIF analysis highlights the need for targeted training interventions. The study recommends structured mentorship for junior teachers, advanced training for mid-career educators, and leadership programs for senior teachers. It contributes to teacher assessment research by applying Rasch Model-based psychometric analysis in vocational education. Unlike traditional studies, this research integrates Rasch Model and DIF analysis for a more precise evaluation of teacher performance.

Based on our findings:Document completeness increased from 50%, 88% to 94%. PTS is planning a 90% increase to meet document completeness success metrics and stop the cycle. and four predicates for performance evaluation in cycle I, the predicate distribution is: 0% not good, 42% pretty good, 58 good, 0% very good. In cycle II, the predicate distribution is:Poor 0%, Fairly Good 8, Good 42 to Very Good 49. Predicate Good and Very Good 42 + 49 = 91%. Therefore, we can say that the predicate performance distribution before the cycle increased in cycle I.

The most fundamental problem in the education unit is how supervision efforts are made by the school principal to improve teacher performance, especially in elementary schools (SD). This becomes a task that cannot be abandoned by a school principal, because it is a form of responsibility of a leader in terms of improving teacher performance. By increasing teacher performance, school performance will also be better. The research method in this article uses the library research method (Library Research). This research method relates to library data collection methods. Data collection techniques in this study use documentation and data analysis techniques. or certain values that are believed by researchers related to the problem of supervising school heads through documents related to the problems that researchers examine. The results of this research are that academic supervision carried out by the principal can improve teacher performance at the school, because teachers receive supervision, the principal also provides feedback when there are teachers carrying out academic supervision, so that they continue to motivate teachers to improve their professionalism in teaching. Implementation of academic supervision by school principals is based on the need to overcome problems with learning tools, lesson plans, learning materials, class management, assessment of learning outcomes, teacher discipline, and implementation of character education. Abstract
