Abstract

Abstract

This study was conducted because self-harm behavior in adolescents has become a serious problem that requires in-depth attention, especially in Indonesia, where this phenomenon continues to increase. Factors such as gender, ethnicity, and age are believed to play an important role in influencing self-harm behavior, but comprehensive empirical studies on the interaction of these three factors are still limited. The objectives of this study were to identify differences in self-harm behavior based on gender, ethnicity, age, and investigate the interaction between these three factors. The research method used a quantitative design with a survey approach. The sample consisted of 812 adolescents who were randomly selected from various regions in Indonesia, and data were collected through questionnaires measuring the level of self-harm behavior and demographic factors. Data were analyzed using ANOVA in the Rasch model. The results showed that females have higher rates of self-harm than males. Bugis (B) and Flores (F) cultures show higher self-harm scores compared to other age groups. In addition, the 15-17 age group shows higher self-harm scores compared to other age groups. The conclusion of this study is that there are significant differences in self-harm behavior in adolescents based on gender, ethnicity, and age

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the condition of both male and female students self-efficacy and identifying the difference. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive-comparative. The samples included 221 students. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics normal curve by determining the mean (average); calculating the percentage that exists in a particular category and analyzing t-test. The findings of the research showed 42.7% of male students self-efficacy are at moderate category of and 47.2% of female students are at high category. This research also revealed a significant difference of both female and male students self-efficacy. The implication of the research is it is expected that counselors provide guidance and counseling services to improve and develop self-efficacy, especially towards male students as self-efficacy of male students is lower than female students.

Abstract

The Indonesian Smart Card (KIP) recipient students are required to get good learning outcomes. However, some students get low learning outcomes, one of the factors that affects learning outcomes is self-awareness. Low student self-awareness is the cause of low learning outcomes. This research method is quantitative with descriptive and correlational research types. The population in this study was 7,002 KIP recipient students studying at Universitas Negeri Padang who were active in the January-June 2024 semester, with a sample of 382 students selected using the simple random sampling technique. The data was processed using descriptive analysis techniques with a percentage formula and correlational analysis techniques with Pearson product moment. The results of this study indicate that (1) self-awareness is in the high category (65.97%); (2) learning outcomes are in the moderate category (69.9%); and (3) the results of the correlation analysis show a positive and significant relationship between self-awareness (X) and learning outcomes (Y) with a calculated r value of 0.429 with a significance level of <0.005 at a moderate relationship level. A significant positive relationship means that the higher the self-awareness, the higher the student's learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study, counselors can provide assistance to improve self-awareness and student learning outcomes through information services, group counseling services and group guidance services.
