The process of collecting, cleaning, editing and analyzing data was carried out with SPSS version 25.0 using the Mann Withney U Test statistical test. Results: This study involved 90 total respondents consisting of 40 in the category of familial breast cancer and 50 non-familial breast cancer. The p-value >0.05 indicates that there is no significant difference between psychosocial status in familial breast cancer and non-familial breast cancer. Conclusion: Psychosocial status of familial breast cancer patients was not different from that of non-familial. Clinically, these findings indicate the importance of the same model of nursing care between the two patient groups. In the next study, the researcher recommends experimental research that examines various nursing interventions on psychosocial status in both groups.

Abstract

Competency tests often make students vulnerable to experiencing stress, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. The coping mechanism used by students greatly determines the success of students in facing competency tests. Data for passing the national nurse competency test in the last 2 years 2020-2021 averaged only 79.67% passing which is still far from expectations. Murottal Al-Qur'an has a relaxing effect, reduces stress and anxiety. The purpose of this research is to prove the effect of waqiah letter murottal therapy in managing emotions when facing the nurse's exit exam competency test. Research design used a quasy-experiment pre and post-test design with 2 intervention and control groups with a sample of 60 people. Respondents' stress levels were measured quantitatively using research instruments before and after the recitation intervention using the DASS scale. Based on data analysis, it is known that the p-value is 0.001 or p-value <0.05, which means that there is an effect of waqiah recitation therapy on reducing stress in students who will carry out the nurse competency test.

Abstract

Aims: There was a high rate of psychological issues among students engaging in clinical practice. Students that focus on caring as their pedagogical foundation will be more equipped to provide nursing intervention in clinical situations. Objective: This research aimed to examine nursing students' caring behaviors as they relate to their readiness for clinical practice. Methods: A total of 122 nursing students from nursing schools in Bandung participated in this descriptive and cross-sectional study, with a response rate of 81.3%. Students' caring behavior and clinical readiness are assessed using the Casey-Fink Readiness for Practice Survey and the CBI-24 (Caring Behavior Instrument short form). Pearson correlation and linear regression tests in SPSS 26 were used to establish associations between the variables. Results: Findings demonstrated a statistically significant correlation between students' caring conduct and clinical preparation (sig 0.000; p0.05). The correlation between the two variables was 23.8% strong, which  was statistically significant. Student readiness for clinical practice was only strongly related to the connection factor. Nursing students' caring attitudes and clinical readiness were not significantly influenced by students' age, gender, or work situation. Conclusions: The level of empathy and social connection among nursing students influenced how well they were prepared for clinical practice. The development of students' caring behaviors, including self-assurance, competency, and respect, should be a primary goal of nursing education.

Abstract

Smoking behavior is a function of both the environment and the individual, which means that smoking behavior is not only caused by internal factors, but also by environmental factors. Furthermore, smoking behavior in adolescents is a symbolic behavior that represents leadership maturity and opposite-sex attractiveness. After China and India, Indonesia has the third-highest number of smokers in the world. When a boy has a positive relationship with adults that makes him feel understood, valued, and wanted, and when he feels supported so that he excels in school, he becomes competent and confident. Similarly, a girl learns to socialize and face the future with confidence and courage as a result of her various attachments. The goal of this study is to determine whether there is a correlation between smoking and self-confidence among vocational students. This research used a cross-sectional, observational, analytic methodology. 13 individuals (19.1%) had a positive smoking behavior status with strong self-confidence, while 36 individuals (52.9%) had a negative smoking behavior status. Based on the chi-square test, the p-value was found to be 0.001: 0.05, indicating a link between smoking behavior and self-confidence. The majority of teenage males' smoking behavior is bad, and the majority of male self-confidence falls into the category of low self-esteem. There is a correlation between vocational students' smoking behavior and their confidence.
