Abstract

Peribahasa merupakan ungkapan singkat, padat jelas, namun mengandung prinsip kehidupan yang mendalam. Peribahasa yang dianut oleh masyarakat Jawa dapat menggambarkan citra diri masyarakat Jawa, dalam kajian ini dibatasi cakupannya pada perempuan Jawa. Data dan sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari buku kumpulan peribahasa Jawa dan dipilih yang berkaitan dengan perempuan dan dianalisis dengan teknik studi pustaka. Dalam analisis data, metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis bahasa secara struktural dan etnolinguistik pada peribahasa Jawa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan keterkaitan yang erat antara prinsip dalam peribahasa yang dianut oleh masyarakat Jawa terhadap kepribadian perempuan Jawa. Perempuan pada masyarakat Jawa sebagai penutur peribahasa tidak hanya sekadar mengungkapkan tuturan kosong melainkan tuturan dalam bentuk peribahasa Jawa yang mencerminkan karakter perempuan Jawa.Kata kunci: peribahasa Jawa, kepribadian perempuan Jawa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tindak tutur perlokusi pada video berjudul “Ngobrolin Kebocoran Data, Gaya Hedon Polisi, Pro Kontra BBM Naik I Musyawarah” (Tinjauan Filsafat Bahasa John Langshaw Austin). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskripistif kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data berupa video dari kanal Youtube Najwa Shihab dengan judul “Ngobrolin Kebocoran Data, Gaya Hedon Polisi, Pro Kontra BBM Naik I Musyawarah”. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis isi kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik simak dan catat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat beberapa jenis tindak tutur perlokusi yang terdapat dalam video yang tayang di kanal Youtube Najwa Shihab berjudul Ngobrolin Kebocoran Data, Gaya Hedon Polisi, Pro Kontra BBM Naik I Musyawarah. Pada analisis yang telah dilakukan ditemukan 7 jenis tindak tutur perlokusi diantaranya yaitu, 1) membujuk, 2) menipu, 3) mendorong, 4) membuat jengkel, 5) menyenangkan, 6) melegakan, dan 7) menarik perhatianKata Kunci: Tindak Tutur Perlokusi, Filsafat Bahasa

Abstract

Communication style or rhetoric plays an essential role in helping a person to deliver a message effectively. Therefore, someone will use an appropriate rhetoric in communication based on the characteristics of the message recipient. However, regardless to the style used, everybody has the same purpose in communication that is how to change the people’s behavior when they receive the message. The study is aimed at exploring the effectiveness of using cursing words as communication style to change people’s behavior in disposing of garbage. Descriptive qualitative analysis with open-ended questions was applied in semi-structure interview to a garbageman and local person to explore the effectiveness of cursing words as communication style to change human’s behavior. The result showed that the words give good impact in changing human’s behavior which is proved by the reduce of garbage volume thrown by the people in the area where the banner of cursing words installed. Furthermore, if the banner is damaged, the habit of the people to throw garbage in the area will increase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji jenis-jenis tindakan agresif pada manusia. Film adalah satu karya sastra yang sangat penting karena permasalahan yang terjadi dalam film dapat dianalisis dengan penelitian psikologi ilmiah. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan teori agresivitas untuk menemukan agresivitas karakter dalam film, Penelitian ini difokuskan pada agresivitas karakter dalam film dilihat dari gejala dan perlakuan karakter tersebut sepanjang film. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Langkah-langkah penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: Persiapan; Menyimak film The Departed untuk memahami karakternya. Kemudian pengumpulan data; Peneliti mengumpulkan data untuk menemukan tokoh utama dan mengidentifikasi data berupa perlakuan agresif yang merupakan ciri-ciri kepribadian tokoh. Dan kemudian analisis data; Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti mengumpulkan data dan mengidentifikasi data terkait tindakan agresif. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah ada delapan jenis agresivitas yang ditemukan pada karakter utama dalam film The Departed. Kata Kunci : Agresivitas, Kepribadian, karya sastra.

Abstract

Film is one of the effective and popular media in cultural learning, both local and foreign cultures. The film that is used as the object of research by the researcher is the film 'Marak: Mresani Panji Sekar'”. This film becomes an interesting study material because it explains the Javanese culture of the courtiers of the Yogyakarta Palace who will focus more on culture in the film. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. Analyzing cultural values by means of observation and study of documents in films in an effort to gain an overview and understanding of what is being studied. The values obtained are in the form of many values contained in it, namely the values of honor, trust, politeness, responsibility, and art. Describe the Javanese values of the Yogyakarta Palace which are shown in the film 'Marak: Mresani Panji Sekar' and reveal and understand the meaning contained in these traditional values.Keywords: Film, Values, Javanese Cultural

Abstract

Abstrack. Style of language can be interpreted as an individual way of expressing ideas or characteristics of how individuals communicate. A politician has his own style, even the head of state, community leaders and even writers. The essence is that nothing is really the same in someone's style, both when speaking and writing. In stylistic studies it is often referred to as a linguistic approach to literature, because literature is inseparable from the medium of language. This paper will discuss the style of language in the lyrics of the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Song lyrics are considered to be the same as poetry, so the study of song lyrics is right using stylistic studies with the method of content analysis. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the style of words in the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia; (2) The sentence style in the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia; (3) Figure of speech in the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to find absurdity aspects in the main character of the novel Perburuan that was written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The method used was qualitative descriptive. The approach was existentialism. The research technique was done by collecting data from words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that afterwards were categorized and analysed based on   absurdity aspects. By the data analysed, it was interpreted with existentialism approach. The findings of the research study displayed the absurdity aspects as follows desperation, unbelief, unafraid of anything, cynicism, soul emptiness, pseudo hope, freedom, sentimentalism, and deadness. Keywords: Absurdity; Novel of Perburuan; Existentialism.

Abstract

Abstrack. The world of literature is an imaginative world that describes human life, which we can enjoy, understand and contemplate. Life in society that we can find is cultural value. The purpose of this research is to find out the cultural values in the Lamaholot folklore of East Flores Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach that uses words as data to convey research results. The research method used to analyze this folklore is the content analysis method. Cultural values include: cultural values in human relations with God, cultural values in human works, cultural values in human relations with nature, and cultural values in human relations with others. Descriptive research techniques conducted by researchers are techniques examining elements of cultural values. This research technique can be done by reading carefully to find cultural values, identify, classify, analyze, and conclude research data about the cultural values in the story. From the results of the study found 99 quotes related to the four cultural values studied.  Keywords : cultural values, folklore, and content analysis

Abstract

This study aims to determine the didactic value and cultural value of the expression of prohibition used by the Minangkabau community in Nagari Biaro Gadang, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. This research method used descriptive qualitative method and was carried out in three stages, such as data collection, data classification, and data analysis stages. The data was collected by observing, interviewing, recording, and taking notes on the utterances conveyed by the informants. Classification of data was done by collecting forbidden expressions. Prohibition expressions are analyzed by using a hermeneutic approach to find out the meaning of the existing prohibition expressions. Analyzing data by transcribing the results of interviews, translating into Indonesian, grouping prohibition expressions based on didactic values consisting of religious education values, moral education values, and social education values and cultural values in forbidden expressions. The result of the research shows didactic values, which consist of religious education, moral education, and social education. In addition, in the expression of the prohibition of the Minangkabau people of Nagari Biaro Gadang, cultural values are also found. The conclusion of this research is that each prohibition expression had its own didactic and cultural values.Keywords: Prohibition Phrases, Didactic and Cultural Values, Minangkabau Cultures.

Abstract

Abstract: Guru Aini is a prequel to Andrea Hirata's Orang Biasa novel. This study aims to describe the forms of thought of the Guru Desi's main character and the reversal of the binary opposition hierarchy using Derrida's deconstruction theory. The data in this study were the texts taken from the novel Guru Aini which outlines the forms of thought and the reversal of the binary opposition hierarchy. Employing qualitative approach, the data source in this research is the novel of Guru Aini. Data collection methods used were reading, recording and interpretation techniques. Guru Desi as the main character in the novel Guru Aini is a bad-tempered, intolerant and apathetic person. After a reversal of the binary opposition hierarchy, Desi actually has a patient character, and she basically also has positive characters such as tolerance, and optimism within herself. Keywords: Deconstruction, binary opposition, novel, Guru Aini.
