Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji jenis-jenis tindakan agresif pada manusia. Film adalah satu karya sastra yang sangat penting karena permasalahan yang terjadi dalam film dapat dianalisis dengan penelitian psikologi ilmiah. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan teori agresivitas untuk menemukan agresivitas karakter dalam film, Penelitian ini difokuskan pada agresivitas karakter dalam film dilihat dari gejala dan perlakuan karakter tersebut sepanjang film. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Langkah-langkah penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: Persiapan; Menyimak film The Departed untuk memahami karakternya. Kemudian pengumpulan data; Peneliti mengumpulkan data untuk menemukan tokoh utama dan mengidentifikasi data berupa perlakuan agresif yang merupakan ciri-ciri kepribadian tokoh. Dan kemudian analisis data; Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti mengumpulkan data dan mengidentifikasi data terkait tindakan agresif. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah ada delapan jenis agresivitas yang ditemukan pada karakter utama dalam film The Departed. Kata Kunci : Agresivitas, Kepribadian, karya sastra.

Film is one of the effective and popular media in cultural learning, both local and foreign cultures. The film that is used as the object of research by the researcher is the film 'Marak: Mresani Panji Sekar'”. This film becomes an interesting study material because it explains the Javanese culture of the courtiers of the Yogyakarta Palace who will focus more on culture in the film. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. Analyzing cultural values by means of observation and study of documents in films in an effort to gain an overview and understanding of what is being studied. The values obtained are in the form of many values contained in it, namely the values of honor, trust, politeness, responsibility, and art. Describe the Javanese values of the Yogyakarta Palace which are shown in the film 'Marak: Mresani Panji Sekar' and reveal and understand the meaning contained in these traditional values.Keywords: Film, Values, Javanese Cultural

Abstrack. Style of language can be interpreted as an individual way of expressing ideas or characteristics of how individuals communicate. A politician has his own style, even the head of state, community leaders and even writers. The essence is that nothing is really the same in someone's style, both when speaking and writing. In stylistic studies it is often referred to as a linguistic approach to literature, because literature is inseparable from the medium of language. This paper will discuss the style of language in the lyrics of the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Song lyrics are considered to be the same as poetry, so the study of song lyrics is right using stylistic studies with the method of content analysis. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the style of words in the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia; (2) The sentence style in the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia; (3) Figure of speech in the song Berkelana ke Ujung Dunia.

Abstract: The research aims to find absurdity aspects in the main character of the novel Perburuan that was written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The method used was qualitative descriptive. The approach was existentialism. The research technique was done by collecting data from words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that afterwards were categorized and analysed based on absurdity aspects. By the data analysed, it was interpreted with existentialism approach. The findings of the research study displayed the absurdity aspects as follows desperation, unbelief, unafraid of anything, cynicism, soul emptiness, pseudo hope, freedom, sentimentalism, and deadness. Abstrack. The world of literature is an imaginative world that describes human life, which we can enjoy, understand and contemplate. Life in society that we can find is cultural value. The purpose of this research is to find out the cultural values in the Lamaholot folklore of East Flores Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach that uses words as data to convey research results. The research method used to analyze this folklore is the content analysis method. Cultural values include: cultural values in human relations with God, cultural values in human works, cultural values in human relations with nature, and cultural values in human relations with others. Descriptive research techniques conducted by researchers are techniques examining elements of cultural values. This research technique can be done by reading carefully to find cultural values, identify, classify, analyze, and conclude research data about the cultural values in the story. From the results of the study found 99 quotes related to the four cultural values studied. Keywords : cultural values, folklore, and content analysis

This study aims to determine the didactic value and cultural value of the expression of prohibition used by the Minangkabau community in Nagari Biaro Gadang, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. This research method used descriptive qualitative method and was carried out in three stages, such as data collection, data classification, and data analysis stages. The data was collected by observing, interviewing, recording, and taking notes on the utterances conveyed by the informants. Classification of data was done by collecting forbidden expressions. Prohibition expressions are analyzed by using a hermeneutic approach to find out the meaning of the existing prohibition expressions. Analyzing data by transcribing the results of interviews, translating into Indonesian, grouping prohibition expressions based on didactic values consisting of religious education values, moral education values, and social education values and cultural values in forbidden expressions. The result of the research shows didactic values, which consist of religious education, moral education, and social education. In addition, in the expression of the prohibition of the Minangkabau people of Nagari Biaro Gadang, cultural values are also found. The conclusion of this research is that each prohibition expression had its own didactic and cultural values.Keywords: Prohibition Phrases, Didactic and Cultural Values, Minangkabau Cultures.

Abstract: Guru Aini is a prequel to Andrea Hirata's Orang Biasa novel. This study aims to describe the forms of thought of the Guru Desi's main character and the reversal of the binary opposition hierarchy using Derrida's deconstruction theory. The data in this study were the texts taken from the novel Guru Aini which outlines the forms of thought and the reversal of the binary opposition hierarchy. Employing qualitative approach, the data source in this research is the novel of Guru Aini. Data collection methods used were reading, recording and interpretation techniques. Guru Desi as the main character in the novel Guru Aini is a bad-tempered, intolerant and apathetic person. After a reversal of the binary opposition hierarchy, Desi actually has a patient character, and she basically also has positive characters such as tolerance, and optimism within herself. This study was aimed at investigating presentation of absurdity in Amar Putra’s of Old Man of Kusumpur. This study analyzed a short story using library research. Researchers used Camus’ idea of absurdity to analyze the main character and other minor characters. In analyzing the data, researchers follow some steps, as follow: 1) read the short story; 2) identify the main character and minor characters; 3) relate the situation and condition faced by the characters with the concept of absurdity; 4) draw conclusion regarding the absurdity in the short story. The finding shows that the main character defines the meaning of life by looking for help from other character in this case a Godlike character named Big Man. The characters in the story choose not to surrender so that they try to seek for help from others. Even though, Fakirchand found the Big Man has already been death due to big flood as natural disaster swept majority of the village where Big Man lived.

A woman deserves to get respect and equal position with a man in the feminist view. This study aimed to find out misogynism in the novel Kim Ji-yeong, Lahir Tahun 1982, written by Cho Nam-joo. The method was qualitative. The collected data was from words, phrases, clauses, and sentences, whether directly or indirectly stated by women characters in the novel affected by misogyny. Data analysis based on Bogdan & Biklen model (2007) was categorized and coded; afterward, it was interpreted and displayed descriptively. The result revealed three situations described they were misogyny in the domestic area, society, and institution. This study implies in the feminist perspective that it is crucial to avoid or prevent misogynism in lives.

ABSTRAK Minat baca siswa di sekolah terutama di sekolah dasar masih kurang. Padahal membaca merupakan keterampilan yang sangat esensial untuk menempuh jenjang Pendidikan dari tingakt dasar hingga perguruan tinggi. Gerakan literasi sebenarnya sudah dilaksanakan di berbagai tingkat pendidikan untuk meningkatkan mint abaca, namun belum cukup untuk meningkatlkan minat baca siswa. Maka guru harus memiilki strategi khusus dalam meningkatkan minat baca para siswanya. Membaca nyaring menjadi salah satu teknik pembelajaran alternatif yang mampu meningkatnkan minat baca pemelajar. Rencana kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang selama satu tahun bersama mitra yaitu SDN Jangari. Topik PKM ini adalah pelatihan Read Aloud sebagai strategi peningkatan kompetensi guru SD di desa binaan, yakni SDN Jangari. Kegiatan PKM akan berupa pelatihan Read Aloud dan lomba Read Aloud untuk kalangan guru SDN Jangari. Tim PKM yang terdiri dosen dan mahasiswa Pascasarjana Program Doktoral Linguistik Terapan akan bekerjasama dengan mitra yakni SDN Jangari. ABSTRACTStudents' interest in reading at school, especially in elementary school, is still lacking, but the ability to read is really needed to for education and careers to a higher level. The literacy movement has actually been implemented at various levels of education to increase reading comprehension, but it is not enough to improve the reading interest among students. So teachers must have special strategies to increase their students' interest in reading. One strategy that teachers can use to increase students' reading comprehension is reading aloud. This community service activity plan is designed for one year with partners, namely SDN Jangari. The topic was Read Aloud training as a strategy to increase the competency of elementary school teachers in the target village, namely SDN Jangari. This community service activities were conducted via Read Aloud training and competitions for Jangari Elementary School teachers. The PKM team consisting of lecturers and postgraduate students from the Applied Linguistics Doctoral Program will collaborate with partners, namely SDN Jangari.
