Abstract

Why is it important reproductive and endocrine system is important for someone to be learned by studying embryology? Both of these systems, reproductive and endocrine systems are the most interconnected in the study of embryology. For example, when spermatogenesis (sperm for-mation process), will be studied how the male sex glands as the production of sperm, and then at the end of the study as well as the hormonal regulation of spermatogenesis. In the second chapter of this book discussed on the reproductive system, including ultra structure and fsiologis of male and female reproductive systems. In the next section, is also discussed about the endocrine system. Discussion of the endocrine system include terminology, structure, function and mechanism of action of several hormones related to reproductive system and embryology.Key words: reproduction, endocrine, hormone

Abstract

The presence of insulin in the human body is very necessary. Insulin has an effect on the metabolism of the body. There are significant physiological changes in the body when insulin deficiency or excess. This paper to discusses about the relationship insulin with metabolism of the body through a literature review and mini research. Is the body condition if the excess or deficiency of insulin? The above questions will be answered through the review authors in this article. Weitz report (2007) about the experience of observation insulin shock therapy in patients with schizophrenia. Then, followed by reports of a mini research that have been conducted on insulin shock in fish. Based on the discussion of the results and some conclusions can be drawn (1) Glucose levels in plasma and liver is strongly influenced by the presence of insulin and glucagon, (2) lack or excess of insulin as a hormone and glucose as substrate will lead to abnormality in the body's physiological.Key words: insulin shock, metabolism

Abstract

Subject jigsaw has been identified as one of alternative model to teach difficult materials such as embryology. This study aimed to analyze the impact of the subject jigsaw model on students? achievement. This quasi-experimental study employed post-test only control group design. As many as 84 students from the fifth semester in Biology Department of IAIN Batusangkar were involved as the sample. They were grouped in three classes which were taught using subject jigsaw model, jigsaw model, and conventional (control). The instruments were observation sheet and test. The cooperative skills and student learning outcome data were analyzed using ANOVA and least significance difference (LSD). The results showed that cooperative skills of students, at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, who learn with subject jigsaw are higher than those learning with successive Jigsaw of 3.10, 3.21, and 2.99. Furthermore, the  students? learning outcomes, who taught with subject jigsaw were significantly different from other treatments (F = 28.590; p-value < 0.05). Based on the LSD results showed that the students achievement on subject jigsaw model was better than the others. Thus, subject jigsaw model is recommended to implement in embryology course.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is the learning of Al-Quran education in Elementary Schools which only uses conventional media, and the lack of varied use of media. This results in a lack of interest and interaction of students in following the learning process. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid and practical learning media. This research uses a development research method that is a process or steps to develop a new product or improve existing products, which can be accounted for. The research development design and procedures used are 4-D models, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. This research did not carry out the disseminate stage. The research instrument used questionnaire validation sheets and response questionnaires. Based on the results of research that has been done, categorized games are very valid with a percentage value of 93.75% and practical with an index value of 92%. It can be concluded that this game can be used as a learning medium for Al-Quran Education and help students understand the material of the letters ahkamul.

Abstract

This research is based on low scientific literacy of students. This is due to many factors, one of which is the textbook used less able to develop the scientific literacy students. Educators are required to provide teaching materials like a module that develops scientific literacy students. This type of research is Research and Development (R & D) model 4-D models by Thiagarajan and Sammel. Instruments used are questionnaire validity and questionnaire of practicality. The result show that the characteristics of prototype are the knowledge of science, the investigative nature of science, science as a way of thinking, interaction of science and technology, and society (scientific literacy contents). At process of design, a module of digestive system based scientific literacy develop based on the as reality and good practical education. Module have been categorized as valid based on expert judgment. The learning module have been categorized as practical based on the observation, respons es of teachers and learners. In conclusion, developing a module of digestive system based scientific literacy have the relevancy and internal consistency to develop scientific literacy students.

Abstract

The explanatory mixed-method was conducted to assess prospective biology teachers’ (PBTs) perceptions on thinking as 21st century skills. Data were collected using a quantitative survey method, and an interview with PBTs from Islamic University. 168 (14 men and 154 women) of 195 PBTs participated in filling out the questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 24 statements of aspects of critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, metacognition of the 21st century skill. The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and alpha Cronbach tests were used to determine the quality of the instrument. Statistic descriptive, ANOVA, and correlation tests were conducted to analyze the quantitative data. Triangulation was conducted on the results of the interview. The results of the study indicate that (a) most male and female PBTs at Islamic universities have high skills in critical thinking and metacognition; (b) most male and female PBTs at Islamic universities have insufficient skills in problemsolving and creativity skills; (c) the results of this study also showed that there is no relationship between gender and PBTs skills. This study suggested that teachers and education managers in Islamic universities need to apply integrative learning by paying attention to the skills needed by PBTs. Learning applied in classrooms should be based on 21st century skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to design a consistent research-based learning model and internal relevance on biology learning at Higher Education. The study participants were 88 students of Biology Education Department IAIN Batusangkar who studied Research Method subjects in Biology study, academic year 2016/2017. The method used was educational design research with preliminary stages of research, prototyping stage, and assessment stage. The instruments used were product assessment sheets. Preliminary research findings were analysed by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The mean score of formative evaluation result and mean score of the students’ achievement were analysed by descriptive statistic. Preliminary research results showed that changes should be made toward the biology learning outcomes. The next finding was that there were 9 supporting theories used to design research-based learning models on biology learning. Formative and summative prototype evaluation results were good and had met the criteria of developing the learning model. So, it was concluded that research-based learning model on biology learning had consistency and internal relevance.

Abstract

This research entitled “User Perception Towards Services At Library Of IAIN Batusangkar”. The purpose of this research is to find out how the user’s perception of IAIN Batusangkar Library Servives. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. Researcher collected data by distributing questionaires to 55 respondents who became the research sample. The result of  research on user’s perception of IAIN Batusangkar library services obtained that the user perception variable had an average score of 3.22, the library variable had an average score of 3.17 and total average score of 3.19 with score range between 0-4. So it can be said that the user’s perception of IAIN Batusangkar library services is good. Hypothesis test results show that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05 with a correlation coefficient value of 0.804, so it can be said there is a positive relationship between user perception and library services.

Abstract

Proses konversi atau pencairan batubara hanya dijelaskan oleh proses konversi batubara dari padatan menjadi produk cair menggunakan reaktor yang disandarkan sesuai dengan metode yang digunakan pada suhu dan tekanan hidrogen yang cukup tinggi dengan bantuan katalis dan medium pelarut. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pirolisis. Reaktor yang digunakan yaitu reactor jenis fluidized bed reactor dan menggunakan pendinginan untuk mengubah fase uap menjadi liquid. Menurut hasil terdekat dari batubara menunjukkan bahwa sampel adalah batubara termasuk antrasit. Berdasarkan karakterisasi batubara menggunakan XRD dan SEM-EDX. ada beberapa kandungan mineral dalam batubara seperti SiO2, Al2O3 dan Fe2O3 dan di dalam batubara hasil EDX menunjukkan bahwa konstituen batubara terdiri dari C, Si, Al, O dan S. Selain itu setelah dianalisa nilai kalornya ternyata sampel yang digunakan mendekati nilai kalor batubara jenis antarsit. Dalam proses konversi batubara menggunakan metode pirolisis, temperatur memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Efek pada konversi dan hasil dengan suhu yang lebih tinggi semakin banyak batubara diubah menjadi produk cair. kenaikan suhu dilakukan dari 550oC, 600oC, 650oC, 700oC, 750oC. Hasil konversi batubara berdasarkan analisis GC-MS batubara yang potensial sebagai sumber bahan baku bensin. ini karena GC-MS senyawa yang terbentuk pada konversi batubara sama dengan hidrokarbon yang ditemukan dalam bensin, yang merupakan senyawa hidrokarbon rantai pendek dengan rantai C7-C12

Abstract

AbstractThe study aims to investigate the knowledge of junior high school students on Islamic religious education materials and the social awareness of the Minangkabau religious social activist community. The subject matter of Islamic education is al-Quran, al-Hadith, al-Tarikh, al-Fiqh, al-Akhlaq, al-Aqidah and Arabic language. The research method is community based research. The general steps of the CBR are cycles in four stages, namely, laying the foundation, planning, gathering/analyzing information and action to finding. This study involves junior high school students and the community of Minangkabau religious social activist. This study found that these students have poor Islamic religious knowledge in seven materials. The Minangkabau religious social activists have a high social awareness when activities strengthen formal education with Islamic non-formal education is carried out. The study also provides recommendations on the need for further on finding action for the development of madrasah diniyah takmilyah wustha (MDTW) by exploring Minangkabau values. The findings of this study have implied that this research is an effort that can be done to stop the “silent or slow running phase” of the Minangkabau (surau) mosque and madrasa. This study has also reaffirms that Minangkabau surau and madrasah are not lost or will be lost in Minangkabau, West Sumatra Indonesia.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengetahuan siswa SMP pada materi pendidikan agama Islam dan kesadaran sosial dari komunitas aktivis sosial religius minangkabau. Subyek pendidikan Islam adalah materi al-Quran, al-Hadits, al-Tarikh, al-Fiqh, al-Akhlaq, al-Aqidah dan bahasa Arab. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian berbasis komunitas (community based research). Langkah-langkah umum CBR adalah siklus dalam empat tahap: meletakkan fondasi, perencanaan, pengumpulan / analisis informasi dan tindakan untuk menemukan. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa SMP dan komunitas aktivis sosial keagamaan minangkabau. Studi ini menemukan bahwa para siswa ini memiliki pengetahuan agama Islam yang buruk dalam tujuh materi. Para aktivis sosial keagamaan minangkabau memiliki kesadaran sosial yang tinggi ketika kegiatan memperkuat pendidikan formal dengan pendidikan non-formal Islam dilakukan. Studi ini juga memberikan rekomendasi tentang perlunya untuk lebih lanjut menemukan tindakan untuk pengembangan madrasah diniyah takmilyah wustha (MDTW) dengan mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai minangkabau. Temuan penelitian ini telah mengimplikasikan bahwa penelitian ini merupakan upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghentikan "fase diam atau lari perlahan" surau dan madrasah minangkabau.
