Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the number of tourists, hotel occupancy rates, and number of tourist attractions on work energy absorption in Banyuwangi Regency, Pasuruan Regency and Batu City. The method used in this research is a quantitative research method with panel data regression analysis method through the eviews12 program. Using secondary data at BPS (Central Statistics Agency), the various regions studied in 2013-2022 were carried out using the selected model, namely the Random Effect Model (REM). The results of the analysis show that overall the independent variables (Number of Tourists, Hotel Occupancy Level, Number of Tourist Attractions) have an influence on labor absorption in Banyuwangi Regency, Pasuruan Regency and Batu City. Partially, the variable number of tourists has no effect on work energy absorption, the hotel occupancy rate variable has no effect on work energy absorption, while the number of tourist attractions has an effect on work energy absorption in the tourism sector in Banyuwangi regency, Pasuruan regency and Batu city.

Abstract

Accounting is crucial to the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia, as it provides accurate financial information, facilitates planning, enhances credibility, and ensures tax compliance. However, many MSMEs still lack a basic understanding of accounting, which hinders their business development due to a lack of comprehension of financial records. This research aims to examine the role of accounting in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the factors that influence their growth in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a literature study method that draws on the latest scientific articles from the past decade and credible e-books to examine the role of accounting in MSMEs and the factors influencing their growth in Indonesia. The results indicate that accounting plays a crucial role in supporting the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia by providing accurate financial information and facilitating effective planning and resource management. Various internal factors, including the quality of human resources, financial aspects, technical operations, and marketing, also influence the growth of MSMEs. External factors include government policies, socioeconomic and cultural conditions, and the role of institutions. This study aims to provide recommendations for MSME actors and policymakers to enhance effective accounting practices for sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Islamic economics plays a crucial role in addressing the economic challenges of sustainable development in Indonesia. With principles based on social justice, wise management of natural resources, and redistribution of wealth, usury is prohibited. This research aims to examine the role of Islamic economics principles and identify appropriate strategies to overcome the economic challenges of sustainable development in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a systematic review method to analyze the latest scientific articles from the past decade, as well as e-books. The results showed that the principles of the five central values of Islamic economics, such as tawhid, justice, prophethood, khilafah, and ma'ad, can contribute to sustainable economic development. Islamic economic strategy in Indonesia plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable economic growth by increasing public awareness of Islamic economic literacy, strengthening the Islamic financial sector, developing the halal industry, leveraging digital technology, and fostering collaboration between the government and society to achieve inclusive welfare.  This study concludes that by applying the principles of sharia economics, Indonesia can create a fairer financial system, reduce social inequality, and ensure long-term economic stability.  The goal of this research is to create a fair, inclusive, and sustainable economic system that enhances people's welfare and preserves the environment by applying Sharia principles in all aspects of economic development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of presence of IAIN Kediri students in the transformation of religious, economic and cultural values ​​in Ngronggo and Rejomulyo Villages, Kediri City. Students who are considered to be the compass of transformation from the 'riotous' period of adolescence to adulthood, thinking critically-progressive-transformatively are able to impact social change, maintaining moral values ​​(guardian of values) especially in the surrounding community. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive research approach. This type of research is a case study. Namely, examining the case of the presence of IAIN Kediri students in the transformation of religious, economic and cultural values ​​in Ngronggo and Rejomulyo Villages, Kediri City objectively, critically and comprehensively. The results of this research are the transformation of values ​​provided by the presence of students in Ngronggo and Rejomulyo subdistricts, namely religion, economics and culture as follows: 1. Religion, this is proven by the large number of TPQ, Muezzin and Marbot mosques around the two villages. Economy, as evidenced by the proliferation of shops, food stalls, boarding houses, laundries, photocopiers and Islamic boarding schools. Social and Cultural, as evidenced by the activities carried out by residents, there is always involvement of students and female students. 2. The institution provides funds and activities entrusted to student organizations in order to learn about organization, community, talent, arts, etc.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine community participation in the BSPS program through self-help efforts to create livable houses in Pucangombo Village. The research in this journal article applies a qualitative descriptive method because it is considered that it is easy to find information that can be accessed starting from time constraints, as well as the place to conduct research. Population growth tends to increase every year, conditions like this will result in various problems such as increasing housing needs, poverty rates, and slum areas. The Directorate General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing as the organizer of government affairs issued a breakthrough program in the form of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance which aims to improve decent housing that is healthy, safe, harmonious, orderly and sustainable for people with low incomes supported also by community participation through self-help forms . In this activity, community participation is categorized as enthusiastic, which can be seen from the optimal source of funds by looking at the form of self-help they have. So that the gains from the BSPS program are reducing inadequate housing and increasing the quality of community housing. Keywords: BSPS, Livable Houses, Nongovernmental

Abstract

The Qur’an is the holy book which is inexhaustibly studied by many people. It has inspired a lot of thoughts, research and studies. The discussions of human in the Qur’an are numerous, ranging from the creation, life, naming, relationships of one another, and etc.. The Qur’an mentions that man is created in the perfect form, which is given advantages over other creatures. With his intellectual power, human tries to explore knowledge about him and understand his nature as a creature of God. Biometrics views human as a unique being. Biometrics sees that parts of the human body can be used as a security device because each human has his special uniqueness different from one another. Because of this specificity, human invents devices that refer to all materials, types of equipment, labours, and man-made systems to replicate the existing systems in nature. At present, the scientific community really needs such a device, especially in the field of nanotechnology, robot technology, artificial intelligence, medicine and military. Biometric normally used in the form of authentification, including Introduction to Fingerprint, Face Recognition, Recognition Retina or Iris, Geometry Arm, Geometry Finger, introduction of Palms, Voice Recognition, Introduction to Signatures, DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid), Thermal Imaging (Body Temperature), Shape Ear, Body Odor, Body Movement. On some types of biometric authentication on top of the al-Qur’an gives a signal on Surah Fussilat [41]: 20-22.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between population size, economic growth, education level, and unemployment rate on the poverty level in Tuban Regency. Tuban Regency is a district with a poverty percentage reaching 14.91% in 2022. The researchers used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that the population size has a positive effect on the poverty level, economic growth has a negative effect on the poverty level, the education level has a positive effect on the poverty level, and the unemployment rate has a positive effect on the poverty level in Tuban Regency. The data used in this study include secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and other related sources. This research provides significant contributions to understanding the factors influencing poverty in the area, which can serve as a basis for policy formulation to reduce poverty. Potential policies include improving the quality of education, creating new job opportunities, and promoting inclusive economic growth. Improving the quality of education is expected to enhance the skills and competitiveness of the workforce, while the creation of new jobs can reduce the unemployment rate. Inclusive economic growth ensures that the benefits of economic growth are felt by all layers of society, particularly the poor. Therefore, this study offers comprehensive insights into the relationship between these variables and provides policy recommendations that can help reduce the poverty rate in Tuban Regency.

Abstract

Economic growth is a crucial aspect of development, especially in developing countries, as it has a direct impact on people's welfare. Welfare improvement cannot be separated from the role of the government in managing regional finances optimally. Regional financial management that applies the concept of value for money can encourage economic growth, so as to improve people's welfare. This study aims to analyse the effect of regional financial performance on economic growth. The object of this research is Karanganyar Regency using data for the period 2013-2023. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS IBM 26 software. The results showed that the regional independence ratio had a positive but insignificant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, the effectiveness ratio has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. The efficiency ratio is proven to have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. The ratio of the degree of fiscal decentralisation has a negative but insignificant effect on economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on company financial performance as proxied by Return On Assets, Return On Equity, and Net Profit Margin moderated by company size partially in mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.The research population includes all mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2021 period. The sample in this study was determined by purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive and verification. Hypothesis testing uses the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis model. The results of the study show that (1) Corporate Social Responsibility has a positive and significant effect on Return On Assets. (2) Corporate Social Responsibility has no effect on Return On Equity. (3) Corporate Social Responsibility has a positive and significant effect on Net Profit Margin. (4) Company size weakens the effect of the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility on Return On Assets. (5) Company size weakens the effect of the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility on Return On Equity. (6) This is indicated by the p-value of Net Profit Margin.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and examine The Effect of independent commissioners, managerial ownership, audit committees, and corporate social responsibility on financial performance both partially and simultaneously (together) in Textile and Garment Sub Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2017-2021. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive and verification. Testing the hypothesis using a multiple linear regression analysis model. The study results show that some GCG components affect financial performance, and others do not. The independent board of commissioners and audit committee do not affect ROA. Managerial ownership and CSR affect ROA. Then the independent board of commissioners also does not affect EPS. Managerial ownership, audit committee, and CSR affect EPS. Together the independent board of commissioners, managerial ownership, audit committee, and, CSR affect ROA and EPS in textile and garment sub-sector companies for the 2017-2021 period.
