Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using integrated learning media Instagram in increasing students' learning motivation on reaction rate material and to analyze the results of female and male students' learning motivation on reaction rate material. The method used is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this research were students of one of the State High Schools in Malang City class XI MIPA 2, totaling 11 male students and 20 female students who used Instagram learning media. The class is heterogeneous because it has a gender distribution with more female students than male students. The research results show that 1) The use of integrated learning media Instagram can increase students' learning motivation. 2) There is no significant difference in the comparison of the increase in male students' learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Instagram integrated learning media on students' learning motivation in the matter of reaction rate. This study used a qualitative descriptive method by using a questionnaire to find out the increase in the results of students' learning motivation. This research was conducted at one of the public high schools in Malang City involving 33 students of class XI IPA 4. The data analysis used was in the form of a qualitative test of students' learning motivation. The results of the study show that the use of Instagram learning media can increase students' learning motivation regarding the reaction rate material.

Abstract

Mental retardation is a child who experiences obstacles in mental development or intelligence. This study aims to analysis the need for gamification-based chemistry learning media for mentally retarded students. The research method used is a qualitative survey method. The data collection process was carried out by distributing research questionnaires to 3 teachers and 12 students at the Sidoarjo Regency Inclusive Senior High School. The results showed that mentally retarded students needed gamification-based chemistry learning media. This is because gamificationbased chemistry learning media has elements of images, videos, and games in it so that it can make mentally retarded students more active in the learning process, and can attract mentally retarded students' interest in studying chemistry at school.

Abstract

One way to preserve culture in education is through ethnoscience-based learning, especially in chemical materials linked to various fields of science in life, including social and cultural. Ethnoscience is a process of reconstructing indigenous science knowledge with scientific science. This research aims to explore trends in ethnoscience-based chemistry learning in Indonesia and analyze the contents, focusing on topics, learning approaches and models, tools, and variables influenced. The research data collection method adopted the preferred items for systematic review and meta-analysis (PRISMA) design and obtained from 30 selected articles indicated from 2019-2024 published in journals indexed by Scopus and SINTA. Analysis results show that the process of making batik is one of the ethnoscience topics that are widely used in chemistry learning. Ethnoscience learning can also be done by combining local wisdom (culture), traditional foods, and natural phenomena of the environment. Ethnoscience learning can be integrated into various learning models, such as contextual teaching and learning (CTL), problem-based, and project-based learning (PjBL). Learning tools often used in ethnoscience-based chemistry learning are modules, evaluation instruments, and worksheets. Ethnoscience is interesting to learn because it positively affects critical thinking and creativity, cultural and conservation character, and scientific literacy.

Abstract

Abstract: Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an assessment of the essential competencies needed by all students to develop their capacity and participate positively in society. The AKM component consists of literacy and numeracy. This study aims to determine the needs and understanding of education actors at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo towards AKM. The research method used is a qualitative survey method. The data collection process was carried out by distributing research questionnaires to 30 students and 25 teachers at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo. The results showed that AKM is very important and needed by both teachers and students because AKM can improve teacher and student competencies, both literacy and numeracy competencies. Teachers' and students' understanding of AKM showed a general level of understanding without any misconceptions. Therefore, teachers and students make careful preparations in dealing with AKM. Keywords: Minimum Competency Assessment; Literacy; Numeracy Abstrak: Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) adalah penilaian kompetensi mendasar yang diperlukan oleh semua siswa untuk mampu mengembangkan kapasitas diri dan berpartisipasi positif pada masyarakat. Komponen AKM terdiri dari literasi dan numerasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan dan pemahaman pelaku pendidikan SMAN 3 Sidoarjo terhadap AKM. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif survei. Proses pengembilan data dilakukan dengan membagikan angket penelitian kepada 30 siswa dan 25 guru semua mata pelajaran di SMAN 3 Sidoarjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AKM sangat penting dan dibutuhkan baik oleh guru maupun murid karena AKM dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan siswa baik kompetensi literasi maupun numerasi. Pemahaman guru dan murid tentang AKM menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman yang umum tanpa miskonsepsi. Oleh karena itu, guru dan siswa melakukan persiapan yang matang dalam menghadapi AKM. Kata kunci: Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum; Literasi; Numerasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengabdian masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan limbah minyak jelantah sebagai bahan baku pembuatan sabun padat. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi limbah minyak jelantah dan memberikan edukasi mengenai pengolahan minyak jelantah menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomis. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa dan siswi SMPN 16 Malang dari ekstrakurikuler OSIS dan KIR. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ceramah dan diskusi untuk memberikan pengetahuan bahaya minyak jelantah, praktik dan demonstrasi dalam pembuatan sabun padat dari minyak jelantah serta evaluasi untuk mengukur efektivitas pelatihan dengan melakukan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa dan siswi sangat antusias dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan dan berhasil mempraktekkan pembuatan sabun padat dari minyak jelantah secara berkelompok dengan baik. Berdasarkan survei kepuasan, 90% responden menyatakan sangat puas terhadap pelatihan pembuatan sabun padat dari minyak jelantah. Selain itu terdapat kenaikan sebesar 34% dari hasil pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyampaian materi terkait cara mengurangi limbah minyak jelantah menjadi barang yang bernilai ekonomis kepada siswa SMP efektif untuk dilakukan dan dapat diterima dengan baik. Abstract

Siswa tunagrahita memiliki kemampuan fungsi intelektual atau kecerdasan di bawah rata-rata anak normal sehingga mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang abstrak seperti IPA, akan tetapi ada cara yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mereka yaitu menggunakan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kemampuannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran dari berbagai aplikasi dalam meningkatkan materi sains untuk siswa tunagrahita. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menggunakan database artikel online yaitu ERIC dan Google Scholar. Artikel yang direview sebanyak 10 artikel sesuai topik. Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran bagi siswa tunagrahita sangat berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pemahaman pada materi IPA. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan banyak berasal dari berbagai aplikasi seperti media yang menggabungkan sisi edukasi dan hiburan seperti menggunakan video, permainan (game), media visual seperti gambar dan lainnya sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa tunagrahita. Berdasarkan hasil literature review dari peneliti sebelumnya, maka disimpulkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum 2013 selaras dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa tunagrahita pada proses pembelajaran sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tunagrahita pada materi sains dengan baik.

Abstract

Empirical research has informed that chemical equilibrium learning in chemistry class includes as a difficult subject for senior high school students, and the learning approach that can challenge this complexity in the Indonesian schooling context seems sparse. Therefore, this present study was designed to find out: (1) the implementation of STAD learning model in the chemistry class discussing chemical equilibrium topic and (2) the differences in the ability to think critically and learning outcomes of Indonesian senior high school students after being taught using STAD and conventional learning models. To collect and analyze the data, Posttest Only Control Design was employed. Findings suggested that (1) the implementation of STAD learning model had an average of 93% and conventional learning of 90%, (2) there are differences in the critical thinking abilities of students who were taught using STAD model (86.14%) higher than those taught using conventional learning model (71.14%), and (3) there are differences of students who were taught using STAD model (86.00%) higher than those taught using conventional learning model (81.76%). Based on these results, we can infer that STAD learning model could enhance students’ critical thinking abilities and learning outcomes effectively.

Abstract

In chemistry subjects, one of the things studied is alkaline elemental chemistry. Learning elemental chemistry is not only memorization but requires a thought process to understand it, so learning media is needed. Articulate Storyline 3 is an intuitive program equipped with robust features for developing educational media. Its user-friendly design, similar to PowerPoint, and allows teachers to easily create engaging learning materials. The research aims to produce interactive learning media that were suitable for use in alkaline group elemental materials using articulate storyline 3. The development of this media used a define, design, develop, and disseminate (4-D) model. The learning media was validated by two experts and tested for readability with 12th-grade students. The development research results showed high feasibility, with material experts rating it at 86%, media experts at 84%, and student readability at 85%. Thus, the development of this learning media had met the high feasibility of use.

Abstract

Di era Kurikulum Merdeka,beberapa guru kurang mampu mengetahui kemampuan peserta didik sehingga tidak dapat memfokuskan lebih dalam pada bidang yang sesuai dengan kemampuan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan assesmen pra-as-for-of learning sebagai sarana calon guru profesional untuk mengembangkan keterampilan penelitian dan meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap asesmen di era Kurikulum Merdeka. Pada penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian Research and Development (RnD) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE : Analysis (analisis), Design (Desain), Development (pengembangan), Implement (implementasi), dan Evaluate (evaluasi) yang hanya dilaksanakan hingga tahap development. Pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk berupa monograf asesmen pra-as-for-of learning pada materi intoduction of chemistry. Asesmen pra digunakan di awal pembelajaran, asesmen as digunakan sebagai refleksi pembelajaran yang mengusung penilaian diri dan teman sejawat, penilaian for digunakan untuk perbaikan hasil pembelajaran dan asesmen of digunakan untuk evaluasi akhir pembelajaran. Instrumen assesmen pra-as-for-of learning pada materi introduction of chemistry dikatakan layak digunakan dari hasil penilaian validasi konten sebesar 85,35%, validasi media sebesar 87,33% dan hasil uji keterbacaan sebesar 87,22%.
