Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of health education on breastfeeding by using audiovisual media tothe level of knowledge, skills and motivation of lactating primipara. The method is a quasi-experimental research with theimplementation of health education using audiovisual media in the control and the implementation of health education withoutthe use of audiovisual media in the group. The study was conducted at the Hospital Syafira to 30 people with 15 people for theexperimental group and 15 to the control group. Purposive sampling method sampling. Measuring instrument used was aquestionnaire and observation sheet which has been tested validity and reliability. The analysis is used univariat and bivariatanalysis using t-test of dependent and independent. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group tochanges in the level of knowledge by 28% (p = 0.00), ability to breastfeed by 41.33% (p = 0.001) and feeding motivation by19.34% (p = 0.033) . The results of this study recommend health workers provide health education on breastfeeding by usingaudiovisual media to primipara that the knowledge, skills and motivation of lactating primipara increased.Keywords: Health education, knowledge, skills, motivation, primipara.

Abstract

Pembelajaran biologi tidak terlepas dari kegiatan identifikasi. Sarana identifikasi yang tepat digunakan dalam menunjang pembeljaran berbasis jelajah alam adalah buku saku. Buku saku dikembangkan karena memiliki ukuran yang mudah dibawa dan ringkas memuat informasi yang dikemas secara menarik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan Buku Saku Identifikasi Angiospermae Berbasis Jelajah Lingkungan di Pesisir Gresik untuk Peserta Didik SMA Kelas X yang valid, efektif, dan praktis. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan 3D yang diadaptasi dari model pengembangan (Four-D) 4D meliputi tahapan penelitian yaitu Define, Design, dan Development tanpa melalui tahapan Disseminate. Penelitian dilakukan uji coba terbatas pada 20 peserta didik di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik pada bulan April 2018. Parameter buku saku meliputi validitas teoritis, keefektifan buku saku, serta kepraktisan buku saku. Tahap analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptiff kuantitatifmenggunakan metode telaah, lembar observasi kegiatan dan angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa validitas buku berdasarkan kelayakan isi, penyajian dan bahasa memperoleh nilai masing-masing 100% dengan interpretasi sangat layak. Keefektifan buku saku ditinjau dari hasil kerja peserta didik dalam mengidentifikasi tumbuhan, memperoleh nilai 90% dengan interpretasi sangat baik, sedangkan kepraktisan buku saku diperoleh dari hasil respon peserta didik terhadap buku saku selama penggunaan, memperoleh nilai 96%. Kata kunci : Pengembangan, Buku Saku, Identifikasi.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the keramba farmers in the village of rice paddies of Northern Kampar Kampar Sub-district. The purpose of this research is to find out how social capital and the constraints faced by the farmers in the villages of keramba Rice in the running of social capital. The theory is the theory of social capital that is put forth by the Coleman consists of beliefs, social networks, values and norms. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive method with approach case studies. The subject of the study amounted to 7 persons i.e. chairman, threasurer, secretary, members of keramba farmers, agents, sellers of seed fish, and fish feed salesman. The technique of determination of informants by using puposive technique of sampling. Data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. The data collected by the data collection techniques in the form of observation (Observation) and interview (Interview). The analysis of the data used in this research with the technique of collecting data from various sources by entering the theory used in accordance with the social phenomena. The results of this research are very important social capital within the group or organization, trust, value networks, and norms have a very important role in the running and smooth business keramba fish in the Rice Village and subdistrict of Kampar Utara Kampar Regency. Trust is an important element in the group, the form of confidence among farmers keramba i.e. by mutual borrow lend capital in running the business. Social networks that form of cooperation so as to form a network, such as between farmers keramba with agents who need each other and mutual benefit. Values and norms become the guideline for each Member farmer keramba, norms that apply to realize the smooth running and success in doing business keramba fish. Constraints faced in running social capital with the presence of conflicts or problems that occur in groups or with parties involved in running a business because there are disappointed and wronged then the relationship can be split asunder and cooperation did not go well and could be broken.Keywords: Social Capital, Farmers Keramba, Group

Abstract

Neonates are newborns aged up to 28 days (4 weeks). At this time, neonates need to be given breast milk which has high amount of colostrum that contains antibodies, anti-infectives and immunoglobulins to maintain their health. However, the case of breastfeeding the infants is still very low, this is partly due to prelacteal distribution. Prelacteal is food or drink other than breast milk that is given to infants 1-3 days after birth. This study aimed to determine the description of prelacteal delivery to neonates in the working area of Rejosari Health Center, Pekanbaru. This study used a quantitative research design with descriptive method, and with a retrospective approach. The number of samples was 48 mothers who had prelacteal given to their neonates. The measuring instrument was questionnaire. The results of this study found that 36 people (75.0%) gave prelacteal on the first day; with a duration of 1-2 days, given by 25 people (52.1%) and the type of prelacteal given in the form of infant formula (milk) were given by 37 people (77.1%), and due to the unavailability of the breast milk and was recommended by health workers were 24 people (50.0%). The results of this study recommended mothers who have neonates to give exclusive breastfeeding instead of prelacteal, and to health workers, especially nurses in health centers to make more efforts promoting exclusive breastfeeding for neonates and give more health educations about prevention of giving prelacteal to neonates. Abstract

Health problems that are common and often experienced by many people, one of which is dyspepsia. Dyspepsia is a term used for a syndrome or collection of syndromes consisting of pain or discomfort in the epigastrium, nausea, vomiting, bloating, early satiety, feeling full, and belching. This study aims to describe the incidence of dyspepsia in university students in Riau. The research design used is descriptive. The sample in this study was 215 patients using stratified random sampling technique. The data retrieval tool used was a questionnaire which was tested for validation and reliability. Analysis of the data used is univariate. Showed that the gender was female (93.0%), Minang ethnic (34.4%), class of 2017 students (21.8%), dyspepsia symptoms quickly satiety with irregular eating patterns (45.5%), symptoms of dyspepsia quickly filled with irritating types of food and drink (45.1%), 1000 students have experienced symptoms of early satiety (55.3%) while for the incidence of dyspepsia with dyspepsia (75.3%). It is recommended for students to maintain regular eating patterns and regularly consume lots of healthy and non-irritating food and drinks, so that it can cause dyspepsia in students. Eating patterns and types of food and beverages have a significant relationship with the incidence of dyspepsia in students. Keywords: Dyspepsia, diet, types of food and drink and students

Abstract

Background: Teenager especially girls are vulnerable for its disease because the need increasing of zinc level at puberty age, having blood loss at their period time and low zinc consumption. Anemia is a condition in which erythrocytes number (red blood cells) in the body is less than normal. Purpose: The purpose of this research was to describe the knowledge of female students in Agriculture Vocational High School Pekanbaru about high zinc foods consumption for anemia prevention. Method: The study conducted as a simple observational. There were of 64 respondent as sample taken by stratified random sampling and questionnaire data collecting that had registered validity and reliability. Result: The result showed that the students mostly were in the age of seventeen. The number of students were thirty students (48.4%) and the number of First Grade Student were thirty eight (59.4%). Respondent’s had good knowledge about iron food for the prevention of anemia is 67.2% and respondent’s had sufficient knowledge is 32.8%. Conclusion: The knowledge of teenager girls about high zinc foods for anemia prevention generally is good. This research is expected to give benefits to teenagers about the importance of consuming zinc food containing for the prevention of anemia.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is a person's efforts to maintain at theirself hygiene. Children have not been able to maintain personal hygiene because lack of knowledge due to the age factor, so they at risk for experiencing personal hygiene problems. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge with personal hygiene independence in schoolage children. This study used a descriptive correlation design with a sample of 72 students taken by stratified random sampling. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using chi-square test. The results of the study found that the independently of children for personal hygiene was 51 students (72.2%), and personal hygiene of independent children for personal hygiene was 60 students (83.3%). Statistic analysis obtained p-value 0.000 < (0.05) that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the independence of personal hygiene in school-age children. It is recommended for health workers to take promotive and preventive intervention for school-age children, especially in personal hygiene. Abstract

Coronavirus Disease – 2019 adalah penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrom Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) dengan upaya pencegahan penularan penyakit salah satunya melalui vaksinasi Covid-19.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat tentang vaksin Covid-19 dengan kesediaan untuk dilakukan vaksinasi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan studi cross sectional dengan sampel berjumlah 100 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel quota sampling di 5 Kelurahan diwilayah Kecamatan Tuah Madani, Pekanbaru. Pengolahan data bivariate menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kesediaan untuk dilakukan vaksinasi Covid-19 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,002 (p-value < 0,05), ada hubungan antara sikap dengan kesediaan untuk dilakukan vaksinasi Covid-19 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,004 (p-value <0,05). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat tentang vaksin Covid-19 berhubungan dengan kesediaan untuk dilakukan vaksinasi Covid-19.

Abstract

Introduction: Breast engorgement is a condition where there is swelling due to breast milk as a result of the ducts lactiferous which causes inhibition of breastfeeding. If not treated promptly, this condition can lead to further complications such as abscesses and mastitis of the breast. For this reason, appropriate efforts are needed to overcome breast engorgement that can be carried out by mothers. This research aims to identify a description of the incidence and the treatment made by mothers to overcome breast engorgement. Methods: The design of this research is descriptive quantitative research. Data were collected using observation sheets consisting of observations about the incidence of breast engorgement and the treatment made by mothers to overcome them. With 69 respondents who are breastfeeding mothers with children aged 0-10 months at the Puskesmas Rawat Inap Sidomulyo Pekanbaru. The data analysis used is a simple descriptive in the form of a frequency distribution table. Results: The results of this study showed 54 respondents (78.3%) had experienced breast engorgement and the most treatment made by mothers in overcoming breast engorgement were breast pumps as many as 27 respondents (39,1%). Conclusion: Overall it was locked that mothers aged 0-10 months at the Puskesmas Rawat Inap Sidomulyo Pekanbaru had experienced breast engorgement and the treatment made to breastfeed were breast pumps. This research is expected to contribute to the knowledge of the incidence of breastfeeding and the treatment that mothers can do to overcome it.
