Abstract

A total of eleven studies were gathered and analyzed through SPSS 27 software. The research methodology employed was Meta-Analysis. Results indicated a notable improvement in learning outcomes, as the highest score before utilizing digital applications was 78.96, and the lowest was 44.69. Following the implementation of digital applications, the highest score rose to 91.84 and the lowest to 81.32. Statistical analyses, including paired sample t-test and correlation test, demonstrated a significant disparity in learning outcomes pre- and post-use digital applications, with a p-value <0.05. The findings suggest that digital applications effectively enhance students' learning outcomes, offering flexibility, interactivity, and appeal that heighten learner engagement.

This study aims to research on the concept of communication with the signs in Al-Jahid works. To identify these problems in depth and thoroughly, qualitative descriptive study was used. The primary data sources of this research were various sources, mainly Al Jahid book with documentation from the works of Al-Jahid and observation techniques based on the other books about Jahid ‘s point of view, such as Kamal Bisyri and other linguists. The results of this study concluded that: Al-Jahiz is an Arabic language expert who discussed the theory of non-verbal communication. In the case of learning a language, we also have to comprehend the theory of communication, especially communication with signs by Al-Jahiz. His thoughts were followed by several contemporary scholars. Thus, it is highly recommended to the Arabic researchesr to figure out the works of previous Arabic scholars which had been discussing about contemporary linguistic.

Abstract

Morphological competence plays a crucial role in producing academically sound Arabic writing, especially for non-native learners in higher education. This study aims to analyze and categorize morphological errors found in the thesis abstracts of students in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at IAIN Kediri. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach, the research focuses on identifying dominant patterns of morphological mistakes and offering strategic insights to improve linguistic accuracy in students’ final academic projects. The data consisted of three randomly selected abstracts from 2023–2024 graduates, which served as the primary source, supported by secondary sources such as books and articles related to Arabic morphology. The analysis process involved four stages: data collection, error identification, explanation, and evaluation. The results revealed four major categories of morphological errors: incorrect word formation, misapplication of wazan (word patterns), inaccurate use of various types of hamzah, and improper placement of ḍamīr (pronouns). These findings suggest the need for targeted instructional interventions to reinforce students’ understanding of Arabic morphological structures in academic contexts.

Abstract

No in-depth analysis comprehensively compares Arabic and Indonesian reduplication and internal modification phenomena. Therefore, this study aims to fill this knowledge gap and present a deeper understanding of how these two languages use reduplication and internal modification in word formation and their morphological consequences. The main problem to be solved is how this phenomenon operates in both languages, what the differences and similarities are, and how its use affects the structure and meaning of words in the linguistic context of each language. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, using data analysis as library research. The research results reveal that both languages use reduplication and internal modification to form words with diverse meanings. Although there are differences in how the two languages implement this phenomenon, they also share basic concepts about how repetition and internal modifications in word morphology can produce variations in meaning.

Abstract

Few English materials integrate Islamic values for mathematics teacher education. This study aimed to develop an Islamic context-based English learning material for pre-service mathematics teachers to address the need for integrating language proficiency with religious values. Using R&D approach with the 4D model, the study involved needs analysis, expert validation, limited trials, and effectiveness testing. The material covered mathematics topics such as symbols and operations, plane and solid geometry enriched with Islamic contexts including Qur’anic references and the contributions of Muslim mathematicians. This is among the first to embed Qur’anic references and Muslim mathematicians in English for Mathematics materials. Validation by three domain experts (mathematics, English, and Islamic education) resulted in high scores of 4.12 (82.3%), 4.59 (91.8%), and 4.06 (81.2%), respectively, indicating strong validity. Student assessments further supported its validity with an average score of 4.41 (88.1%). Effectiveness testing using a quasi-experimental design revealed a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group’s English proficiency, with an N-Gain score of 0.57 compared to 0.39 in the control group (p < 0.05). These findings confirm that the developed material is valid, practical, and effective for improving English skills. However, the study was limited to only two classes in a single institution.
