Abstract

The trade of consumer electronics between Indonesia and the United States offers significant opportunities for both countries to leverage their respective potentials. Indonesia has a comparative advantage in electronic production, while the United States is a primary market with high demand for electronic products. Within the framework of multilateral economic cooperation under APEC, both countries can strengthen their trade relations by reducing tariff barriers and facilitating smoother trade flows. However, Indonesia faces significant challenges, including dependency on component imports, fluctuations in raw material prices, and intense competition from other countries such as China and South Korea. To maximize market potential, Indonesia must focus on technology development, increasing production capacity, and simplifying trade regulations and policies. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and threats in consumer electronics trade, as well as provide strategic recommendations to enhance Indonesia's competitiveness in the global market.

Abstract

Currently, the number of Children with Special Needs (ABK) continues to increase every year, making the role of teachers increasingly vital in providing inclusive education services in schools. This increase in the number of ABK requires teachers to have adequate competencies to provide education tailored to the needs of each child. In this context, inclusive education is crucial, as it provides opportunities for all children, including those with special needs, to learn together in the same environment. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in the context of inclusive education in Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The method used in this study is qualitative with a narrative approach, conducted in several PAUD institutions in Malang. The results show that teachers have a very important role in inclusive education in PAUD. The role of teachers in question covers several aspects, including the ability to recognize Children with Special Needs (ABK), conduct initial assessments of student needs, and understand how to implement appropriate learning for ABK. In addition, teachers are also expected to be able to use assistive devices to provide simple stimulation to ABK and know how to involve parents in handling ABK. The importance of the teacher's role in inclusive education lies not only in academic abilities, but also in social and emotional skills in creating a supportive learning environment. This research provides valuable insights for the development of training programs for teachers to improve their skills in inclusive education, which is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of education in early childhood education (PAUD). With appropriate training, teachers can be better prepared to face the challenges of teaching children with special needs and ensure that every child receives a quality education tailored to their needs. This research is expected to encourage educational institutions to pay more attention to training and professional development for teachers, so they can contribute optimally to creating inclusive and quality education.

Abstract

The community service initiative conducted in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency, aim to address a fundamental issue: the limited market access faced by local fishermen. This initiative aligns with the goals of sustainable development, particularly in promoting decent work opportunities and robust economic growth. Enhancing market access is expected to increase fishermen’s incomes, thereby helping to reduce poverty in the fisheries sector. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method was deemed appropriate for addressing the issues faced by 15 fishing partners. The initial steps included field observations and focus group discussions (FGDs) with seven partners to identify the core problems. To address these challenges, the community service team proposed the use of a mobile application called SmartSea Unair. This app is intended to improve the effectiveness of fish marketing. Initial evaluations using pre-tests (48%) and post-tests (52%) indicated an increase in the partners' knowledge. Further results, gathered through interviews with one of the partners, revealed that SmartSea Unair not only enhanced the fishermen families understanding but also delivered broader benefits. Notably, the app enabled partners to directly sell their fishery products to consumers outside of Java Island.

Abstract

This study explores the constitutionality of the noken voting system in the 2024 Papua Tengah gubernatorial election from the perspective of the Pancasila democratic state. This election marks a historic milestone as the first gubernatorial election since the establishment of Papua Tengah Province in 2022. The central issue lies in the tension between procedural democratic principles and noken as a form of communal democracy based on consensus. This research addresses a gap in multidisciplinary literature examining noken from the perspectives of legal-political legitimacy, democratic systems, and national constitutional law. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that the noken system is constitutionally grounded, referring to Pasal 18B ayat (2) UUD 1945, aligned with the fourth principle of Pancasila democracy emphasizing deliberation, and consistent with legal pluralism theory that recognizes customary law within a national legal framework. Furthermore, the system is compatible with Papua’s special autonomy as stipulated in Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2021. However, field implementation presents significant challenges, particularly the risk of abuse by local political elites, dominance of tribal leaders, lack of direct public participation, and the absence of clear technical regulations and effective oversight mechanisms. While some respondents view noken as contradictory to the principles of direct, general, free, confidential, honest, and fair elections, others consider it a legitimate form of communal democracy unique to Papua, provided there is strong regulation and oversight. The study concludes that the noken system remains relevant within the framework of Papua's special autonomy, but regulatory reforms and supervisory mechanisms are essential to ensure alignment with the dynamic and contextual principles of Pancasila democracy.

Abstract

Knowledge of student entrepreneurship intentions is a fundamental impetus that is very important in understanding entrepreneurship in tertiary institutions. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the project-based learning model in increasing student entrepreneurial intentions in economics and digital business learning. This research is quantitative research with an experimental research design. The sample in this study was 80 students. This study uses actual experiments because, in this design, the researcher can control all external variables that affect the course of the investigation. Data collection in this study used instruments in the form of questionnaires and documentation developed according to indicators and based on relevant theories. The results showed that the significance value of the t-test was 0.000. The significance value is less than 0.05, which means that H1 is accepted. This shows that there are significant differences in the entrepreneurial intentions of the experimental class as the class that uses the project-based learning model and the control class that uses the conventional model. Thus, implementing the project-based learning model in the experimental class significantly differs. This means that applying the project-based learning model in digital economics and business learning effectively increases student entrepreneurial intentions. ttable, which is equal to 1.985.
