Abstract

Di tengah maraknya dunia digital, banyak dari Gen Z tidak mengenal sosok Rasulullah SAW dan ajaran-ajaran beliau. Mereka lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu bersama gadget dengan beragam aplikasi dan tontonan yang tidak ada kaitannya dengan keislaman. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan pemahaman Gen Z terhadap hadis-hadis Rasulullah SAW di dalam kitab Syarh Arbain Nawawi, (2) Mendeskripsikan pendampingan pelaksanaan kajian kitab Syarh Arbain Nawawi Gen Z dalam menanamkan kecintaan kepada Rasulullah SAW di Kabupaten Jember, (3) Mendeskripsikan respon peserta (Gen Z) sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan kajian kitab Syarh Arbain Nawawi dalam menanamkan kecintaan kepada Rasulullah SAW di Kabupaten Jember. Metodologi pengabdian ini menggunakan PAR (Participatory Action Research) dengan tahapan identifikasi masalah, perencanaan dan musyawarah, implementasi, evaluasi dan refleksi, penyesuaian dan pengembangan. Hasil pengabdian: (1)Pemahaman Gen Z terhadap hadis-hadis Rasulullah SAW di dalam kitab Syarh Arbain Nawawi, mayoritas masih banyak yang belum mengetahui. Sebagian kecil dari mereka, mengetahui materi-materi yang disajikan di dalam kitab Syarh Arbain Nawawi, tetapi tidak secara utuh. (2) Pelaksanaan kajian kitab Syarh Arbain Nawawi Gen Z dalam menanamkan kecintaan kepada Rasulullah SAW di Kabupaten Jember dilakukan menggunakan metode PAR, dimana dalam pelaksanaannya dilakukan sebanyak delapan kali pertemuan. (3) Hasil respon peserta sebelum pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian dari mereka belum pernah mengkaji ilmu ini. Setelah dilakukan kajian kitab Syarh Arbain Nawawi, peserta menunjukkan respon yang positif dan merasa bahwa kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat di dalam menambah ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the Sumberrejo Village community's capacity to manage its potential in line with ecological values. Sumberrejo Village is rich in natural resources and local potential that has not been managed optimally and sustainably. Problems faced include low ecological awareness among the community, especially regarding waste disposal; limited institutional capacity within the village; and a lack of innovation in environmentally friendly utilization of natural resources. Therefore, strengthening capacity-building based on ecological values is an initiative to foster this awareness. This activity was implemented through a capacity-building approach with a participatory discussion forum with community leaders, village officials, and youth groups. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the importance of managing environmental potential, the emergence of a collective action plan based on ecological values, and strengthened cross-actor collaboration in village resource management. This activity is expected to become a model for village community empowerment that aligns with the principles of sustainable development.Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas masyarakat Desa Sumberrejo dalam tata kelola potensi desa berbasis nilai-nilai ekologis. Desa Sumberrejo memiliki kekayaan alam dan potensi lokal yang belum dikelola secara optimal dan berkelanjutan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi antara lain rendahnya kesadaran ekologis masyarakat terutama pada kesadaran dalam membuang sampah, terbatasnya kapasitas kelembagaan desa, serta kurangnya inovasi dalam pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang ramah lingkungan. Maka dari itu, penguatan capacity building berbasis nilai ekologis menjadi inisiasi untuk membangun kesadaran tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan capacity building dengan forum diskusi partisipatif dengan tokoh masyarakat, perangkat desa, dan kelompok pemuda. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap pentingnya tata kelola potensi berbasis lingkungan, lahirnya rencana aksi kolektif berbasis nilai ekologis, serta penguatan kolaborasi lintas aktor dalam pengelolaan sumber daya desa. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat desa yang selaras dengan prinsip pembangunan berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the role of principal leadership in improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools, given the principal’s strategic position in directing, guiding, and motivating teachers and education staff so that the instructional process is effective, innovative, and quality-oriented. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation to explore the principal’s leadership practices in the context of instructional management. The findings show that principal leadership plays a crucial role in enhancing learning quality through the design of well-directed academic programs, continuous professional development for teachers, the creation of a school climate that is conducive to teaching and learning, and the strengthening of systematic academic supervision. In addition, a participatory and visionary leadership style was found to encourage the engagement of all school stakeholders in efforts to improve the quality of instruction. These results affirm that principal leadership is a key factor in realizing high-quality and competitive learning at the school level.

Abstract

This study is to describe the needs to develop Arabic language teaching materials for prospective Indonesian migrant workers in Middle East. It is a research and development study adapted from Borg and Gall with the following procedures: reviewing relevant literature, conducting a field observation, studying some collected documentation, and in-depths interviews. The results of the study show that (1) the teaching materials are geared to help the prospective Indonesian migrant workers to communicate, to make their tasks at ease, to understand the culture and customs and relevant documents on employment; (2) the teaching materials are designed as multimedia products; and (3) the teaching materials are developed based on cultural themes and approach.

Abstract

Bandung is a large city with a Muslim majority population and is a leading tourist destination in Indonesia, so that it has the potential to develop halal tourism. Nevertheless, some stakeholders in the city of Bandung, such as hotels and restaurants are still reluctant to direct their business to be halal-certified. The purpose of this study was to analyze the readiness of halal tourism stakeholders in the city of Bandung. Data collection was carried out by conducting observations and interviews with tourism stakeholders, including hotel entrepreneurs, restaurant owners, travel service bureaus, tourism destination parties and associations as well as the City of Bandung Tourism and Culture Office. The findings of the study, First though not yet having a halal certificate, entrepreneurs in the tourism sector have applied the concept of halal. Second, the Bandung City Government is in the process of making policies related to the concept of halal tourism. Third, a small number of tourism businesses do not really expect the existence of halal tourism label obligations, because it is considered not important for foreign tourists.

Abstract

The The escalating global environmental crisis—reflected in climate change, ecological degradation, and declining environmental awareness—poses serious challenges for educational institutions, including Islamic Religious Education. This study examines the integration of eco-theology–based deep learning as a transformative pedagogical paradigm for cultivating environmental consciousness within Islamic Religious Education. The primary issue addressed is the limited integration of ecological values in prevailing instructional practices, which tend to prioritize cognitive achievement while insufficiently fostering ethical awareness and practical responsibility toward environmental stewardship. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through systematic literature review and conceptual analysis of educational theories, Islamic teachings, and eco-theological perspectives. The study formulates an integrative instructional framework that synthesizes deep learning principles such as critical inquiry, reflective engagement, collaborative learning, and experiential activities with Islamic environmental ethics grounded in the concepts of khilāfah, amānah, mīzān, avoidance of fasād, and wasatiyyah. The findings indicate that eco-theology–based deep learning promotes holistic student development encompassing cognitive understanding, affective awareness, and behavioral commitment to environmental care. Learners develop an enhanced perception of their role as khalīfah (stewards of the Earth), integrating spiritual consciousness, moral responsibility, and ecological literacy within real-life practices. The study concludes that eco-theology–based deep learning offers a viable and transformative model for reorienting Islamic Religious Education toward sustainability, character formation, and active engagement in addressing contemporary environmental challenges

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya barang dan jasa yang ditawarkan membuat konsumen memerlukan jaminan atas produk halal yang beredar salah satunya adalah kosmetik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui presepsi masyarakat Desa Sidogiri tentang label halal pada kosmetik wardah dan implikasi presepsi masyarakat Desa Sidogiri tentang label halal terhadap pemilihan produk ksometik wardah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian empiris atau sosiologis. Sumber data diambil dari data primer yakni melalui wawancara dan data sekunder diperoleh secara tidak langsung dari sumbernya. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa (1) Persepsi masyarakat Desa Sidogiri tentang label halal pada kosmetik wardah terdapat 3 pendapat, yaitu: sebagai tanda suatu kosmetik tidak mengandung unsur haram dan aman digunakan bagi konsumen, produk yang sudah mendapat ijin BPOM, label yang diperoleh dari MUI (2) Persepsi masyarakat Desa Sidogiri tidak berimplikasi terhadap pemilihan produk kosmetik. Keterlibatan masyarakat Desa Sidogiri untuk memilih produk kosmetik wardah, dipengaruhi 4 faktor yaitu: sebagai bentuk ekspresi diri (self expressive), aspek hedonisme (hedonic importance), relevansi praktis (practical relevance) dan resiko pembelian (purchase risk), sehingga label halal pada produk kosmetik wardah jarang diperhatikan oleh masyarakat Desa Sidogiri

Abstract

The problems of low entrepreneurial literacy, minimal business experience, and the dominant orientation of students as job seekers are the main challenges in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among the younger generation. This condition is also found in young entrepreneurs at MA Sunan Gunung Jati Pasuruan, who have great potential but have not been supported by systematic strengthening of entrepreneurial competencies and mentality. This community service activity aims to provide training and strengthening entrepreneurship building to improve students' entrepreneurial knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The implementation method includes participatory training, providing entrepreneurship materials, business motivation, group discussions, and practical preparation of simple business plans based on local potential and Islamic values. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept of entrepreneurship, growing self-confidence, independence, and courage in seizing business opportunities. In addition, participants were able to identify realistic business ideas and have an ethical orientation and social responsibility. This activity makes a real contribution to developing young entrepreneurs with character, adaptability, and competitiveness.

Abstract

The concept of qiwāmah (male authority) in Q.4:34 remains a central yet contested foundation in Islamic family law, particularly in shaping gender roles and marital authority. While classical and modern tafsir have largely legitimized male leadership, existing scholarship tends to focus on reinterpretation or normative critique, leaving a gap in examining the epistemological structures that produce and sustain patriarchal authority. This study investigates qiwāmah as a site of epistemic violence and analyzes how gendered authority is constructed within Qur’anic exegesis and institutionalized in Islamic family law, particularly in the Indonesian Kompilasi Hukum Islam (KHI). Employing a qualitative approach grounded in critical hermeneutics and socio-legal analysis, the study examines classical, modern, and critical tafsir alongside legal documents. The findings demonstrate that qiwāmah is not a fixed theological doctrine but an epistemic construct shaped through interpretive traditions, juristic reasoning, and legal institutionalization. Patriarchal interpretations are reproduced through the nafaqah ṭā‘ah framework and codified in legal systems, while marginalizing alternative perspectives. This study’s specific contribution lies in advancing epistemic violence as an analytical tool in Qur’anic exegesis, shifting analysis from textual meaning to the structures of knowledge production that sustain legal authority. It further provides a framework for Islamic legal reform, emphasizing the need to reinterpret qiwāmah in light of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, particularly justice and human dignity.

Abstract

The Qur’an and Hadith serve not only as guides for worship but also contain foundational principles that support the development of science and technology (IPTEK). This article aims to examine the Islamic perspective on the importance of knowledge and how the Qur’an and Hadith provide philosophical, ethical, and practical foundations for scientific exploration. Using a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review, the study finds that numerous Qur’anic verses and prophetic traditions encourage intellectual activity, research, and scientific development as forms of scholarly responsibility and worship to Allah. In Islam, science and technology are not merely tools for progress but are also spiritual means to draw closer to Allah and to promote the welfare (maslahah) of humanity. History records the advancement of science and technology within Islamic civilization, producing renowned scholars whose contributions remain influential, affirming Islam’s support for scientific achievement. Moreover, Islamic spiritual values serve as an ethical framework to ensure that technological applications remain aligned with the principles of benefit and morality. Thus, the integration of religious values and science and technology is a vital strategy for building an advanced and ethical Islamic civilization.
