Abstract

MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Batang telah berdiri sejak lama namun belum ada kesepakatan terkait pertemuan rutin dan rancangan kegiatan bagi pada anggotanya. Selain itu, para guru di MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Batang belum mengenal STEM-AR yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Urgensi dan fokus kegaiatn pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan aplikatif yang mengintegrasikan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) dan Augmented Reality (AR) dalam pembelajaran matematika sehingga guru dapat mengembangkan Modul Ajar berbasis Pendidikan STEM-AR dan menerapkannya di kelas matematika. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah membentuk Komunitas Belajar STEM-AR dengan fokus pada bidang sosial kemasyarakatan dan manajemen melalui metode pelaksanaan (1) memberikan pelatihan STEM, AR, dan pembuatan Modul Ajar berbasis Pendidikan STEM-AR, dan (2) penerapan hasil pelatihan dalam mengembangkan Modul Ajar berbasis Pendidikan STEM-AR. Kegiatan PkM Pendidikan STEM-SR bagi Guru Matematika di Kabupaten Batang telah terlaksana hingga pelaksanaan penggunaan teknologi tepat guna. Pada kegiatan pelatihan, Guru SMA di Kabupaten Batang telah memahami dengan baik terkait pendidikan STEM, AR, dan pengembangan modul ajar berbasis STEM-AR. Sudah 100% guru matematika di Kabupaten Batang telah mampu mengembangkan modul ajar berbasis STEM-AR. Guru Matematika Kabupaten Batang juga telah menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis STEM di kelas matematika, namun memang masih perlu ditingkatkan agar pembelajaran dapat berjalan lebih efektif. Siswa dalam kelas tampak antusias dengan pembelajaran berbasis STEM ini karena merupakan pengalaman baru bagi mereka. Perlu adanya perbaikan berkelanjutan dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga kelas menjadi lebih efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of e-learning-based learning management which includes planning, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, this study also identifies the driving and inhibiting factors of e-learning implementation and its implications for student learning effectiveness. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The subjects of the study included the principal, teachers, students, and parents of students at SD Negeri 1 Tanggulanom. The focus of the study was directed at the management of technological resources, teacher readiness, and learning strategies to support the success of e-learning. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of e-learning at SD Negeri 1 Tanggulanom has had a positive impact on learning effectiveness, as evidenced by a significant increase in students' literacy and numeracy skills, as well as school achievement at the district level. However, the implementation of e-learning faces several challenges, such as limited information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, resistance of some teachers to technology, and parental concerns about the impact of technology use on children. In terms of management, e-learning planning at this school involves identifying student needs, compiling digital-based materials, and training teachers to improve ICT competency. In the implementation stage, e-learning is carried out through a combination of online platforms and hardware such as tablets and projectors, supported by supervision by the principal. The evaluation showed significant progress in student learning outcomes, although there were still technical obstacles that needed to be overcome. This study recommends strengthening digital infrastructure, ongoing training for teachers, and increasing collaboration between schools and parents to support the sustainability of e-learning. This study also contributes to the development of technology-based learning models at the elementary education level.

Abstract

Since mathematics is an abstract discipline, it is necessary to understand context when learning. This pilot study at SDN 1 Kentungan, a "STEM Village" in Joho Village, Yogyakarta, aims to determine the impact of stick-board teaching aids on second-grade students' mathematics learning results in number patterns. The devices used for collecting data include pre-tests and post-tests, interview sheets, observation sheets, and other methods. Meanwhile, the small set of test participants consisted of two SD N 1 Kentungan class II students who attended the STEM Village in Kampung, Joho. The conclusions of this descriptive study show the following: (1) the way teaching tools are used affects how number patterns are taught to primary school pupils; when instructional aids are utilized to assist students in learning a subject more easily and contextually, they are guided by more than just formulas. (2) Students perform better on their pretest and posttest. (3) Students' understanding improves after using visual aids compared to before using them. (4) Students become more curious and engaged in the learning process. The results of the study suggest that class II students at SDN 1 Kentungan benefit from using instructional aids, which are regarded as compelling and well-done.

Abstract

To improve the skills required for students in the 21st century, such as basic skills, competencies, and character, mathematical literacy is one of the critical factors. With the application of STEM, students are expected to be able to think critically so that they can improve their mathematical literacy skills. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with subjects aged 3–9 years in Joho Village, D.I. Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In this study, data was collected using three methods: observation, interview, and documentation. The instruments used include a critical thinking scale, an observation guide, and an interview guide. The results obtained from this study indicate that applying STEM can hone students' critical thinking skills. Two classifications were obtained by applying STEM, namely groups with high and average levels of critical thinking. Students can identify given problems, formulate the core of the problem, provide solutions based on a problem, draw conclusions, and evaluate relevant arguments for solving a problem. Thus, research is expected to provide a strong foundation for applying STEM-based learning to enrich students' mathematical learning experiences and prepare them for future challenges in the age of globalization towards Indonesia in 2045.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Android-based learning media application using MIT App Inventor to enhance students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the design thinking method, consisting of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. During the empathize phase, in-depth interviews were conducted with five personas to identify existing issues, which were then summarized into an empathy map. In the define stage, data were analyzed using the How Might We technique to frame actionable problems. The ideate stage involved brainstorming solutions through mind mapping, followed by prototyping the application design based on the identified needs. In the testing phase, the application was evaluated for effectiveness (measured by success rate), efficiency (time-based metrics), and user satisfaction (via the System Usability Scale). Data were collected through questionnaires to assess the application’s viability, efficiency, and alignment with user needs. After completing the design thinking process, a critical thinking competency test was administered to compare learning outcomes on three-variable linear equations before and after using the media. Post-intervention results revealed above-average scores, demonstrating the application’s positive impact on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. This study contributes to innovative learning media development in mathematics education, offering a simple, interactive, and accessible tool adaptable to individual learning needs.

Abstract

Pelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang sering dianggap kurang menarik dan sulit oleh sebagian siswa, seperti siswa kesulitan dalam memecahkan permasalahan dalam pelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran matematika berbasis powtoon dengan Pendekatan Kontekstual yang valid untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan RD (Research and Development) yang menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Dengan menggunakan sampel yang terdiri dari 35 siswa kelas X TJKT 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen (pembelajaran menggunakan video pembelajaran matematika berbasis powtoon dengan Pendekatan Kontekstual) dan 36 siswa kelas X TJKT 1 sebagai kelas kontrol (pembelajaran menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dengan metode ceramah). Pada uji validitas produk, penilaian ahli media 81,30% dan ahli materi 85,00% dalam kategori sangat baik. Pada analisis ketuntasan diperoleh data kemampuan pemecahan masalah menggunakan video pembelajaran matematika berbasis powtoon dengan Pendekatan Kontekstual berada pada persentase 100% sehingga mencapai KKM. Pada uji N-Gain sebesar efektivitas = 3,7342 sehingga video pembelajaran efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran matematika. Media video pembelajaran ini juga dikatakan praktis melalui angket siswa yang menunjukkan bahwa persentase kelayakan video pembelajaran sebesar 81,63% dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of academic supervision based on coaching at SD Negeri Sampangan 01 in Semarang, aiming to improve the quality of teaching and learning. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on the planning, execution, and follow-up of the coaching-based supervision process. The findings reveal that the planning phase involved a collaborative approach to identify teachers' developmental needs, set clear goals, and select appropriate coaching strategies. The implementation phase showed that coaching positively impacted teachers' confidence and teaching skills, encouraging reflective practice and innovative teaching methods. The follow-up phase emphasized continuous professional development through feedback and training, ensuring sustainable improvements in teaching quality. Despite its success, the study acknowledges some limitations, including its scope limited to a single school and the short-term duration of the research. Overall, coaching-based academic supervision significantly contributed to enhancing the teachers' professional growth and student learning outcomes.
