Abstract

Students’ creative thinking in mathematics remains a challenge, particularly in learning three-dimensional geometry. This problem is related to the abstract nature of the material and the limited use of interactive media in classroom instruction. This study aimed to develop and evaluate Virtual Reality (VR)-assisted learning media integrated with the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to enhance students’ creative thinking skills. The study employed a Research and Development design using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The participants were 64 ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Semarang, divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 32 students in each group. Data were obtained through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and a creative thinking test. The findings showed that the developed media met the criteria of high validity, with media expert scores ranging from 92% to 93% and material expert scores ranging from 92% to 96%. Student responses also indicated that the media was practical, with a percentage of 80%. In addition, the experimental group achieved a higher mean score (83.50) than the control group (72.35). The independent samples t-test further revealed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.001). These results indicate that VR-assisted learning media integrated with the RME approach is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of the Joyful School Movements (GSM) in strengthening student well-being through school management processes. A qualitative case study was conducted in an elementary school, using in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model that included data reduction, data presentation, and the drawing and verification of conclusions. The results show that GSM is implemented through four interrelated stages: shared understanding, participatory planning, transformative implementation, and reflective evaluation. These stages foster a sense of psychological safety, increase student engagement, and promote a positive, collaborative school climate. This study proposes an integrative school well-being management model that links pedagogical practices with school governance structures to support sustainable educational transformation and prioritise student well-being. This study provides implications that implementing GSM through integrated stages can be an effective strategy in building school well-being. Educational institutions need to develop participatory and reflective practices that support psychological safety, increase student engagement, and strengthen a positive, collaborative, and sustainable school climate.

Abstract

Based on a preliminary assessment conducted in 2024 by the local education supervisory authority under the Wonosobo Regency Education Office, teacher professionalism in public elementary schools in Kejajar District was categorized as low. This classification was based on a standardized monitoring instrument covering pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies aligned with the national framework. The assessment of 132 teachers produced an average score of 68.4 out of 100, below the institutional threshold of 75, indicating systemic challenges in maintaining professional standards. This study investigates the influence of principal professional competence, work motivation, and job satisfaction on teachers’ professional attitudes. A quantitative correlational design was applied, involving 125 teachers selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using validated Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression with SPSS version 24. The findings show that principal competence (β = 0.312, p < 0.001), work motivation (β = 0.285, p < 0.001), and job satisfaction (β = 0.267, p < 0.001) each have a positive and significant effect on teachers’ professional attitudes. Collectively, these variables explain 58.6% of the variance (R² = 0.586). These results highlight the integrated role of leadership and motivational factors in shaping teacher professionalism and provide empirical support for strengthening instructional leadership and teacher motivation, particularly in resource-constrained educational contexts. KEYWORDS: Job Satisfaction, Principal’s Professional Competence, Teachers’ Professional Attitude, Work Motivation.
