Abstract

Visiomotor ability is a crucial aspect of development for lower-grade elementary school students, as it directly affects learning readiness, particularly in activities such as writing, drawing, and movement coordination. One effort that schools can implement to stimulate this ability is through dance extracurricular activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of dance extracurricular activities in improving the visuomotor abilities of first-grade students at SD Negeri 01 Bebengan, identify the obstacles encountered, and formulate optimization strategies. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving first-grade students, the dance extracurricular instructor, classroom teachers, and the school principal. The results indicate that dance extracurricular activities contribute positively to the improvement of students’ eye–body coordination, balance, and ability to imitate movements. The main obstacles identified include limited practice time, inadequate supporting facilities, and differences in students’ interests and abilities. Optimization strategies were carried out through adjustments in teaching methods, enhancement of supporting facilities, and collaboration between classroom teachers and extracurricular instructors. Therefore, it can be concluded that dance extracurricular activities have the potential to serve as an effective medium for improving the visiomotor abilities of lower-grade elementary school students when managed in a structured and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan menulis kalimat efektif siswa kelas IV SDN Tambakaji 01 disebabkan oleh kurang optimalnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai karakteristik siswa. Hal ini berdampak pada kesulitan siswa dalam menyusun kalimat yang sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran scrapbook art and craft berbantuan contextual teaching learning yang layak digunakan, praktis dan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis kalimat efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV, dengan Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, dan efektivitas menggunakan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media dinyatakan sangat layak dengan persentase validasi ahli materi sebesar 81% dan ahli media sebesar 91%, sedangkan respons guru dan siswa (93%) menunjukkan bahwa media scrapbook art and craft praktis, menarik, dan mudah digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Keefektifan media didukung oleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata pretest dan postest pada uji kelas kecil dari 64,67 menjadi 82,5 dan pada uji kelas besar dari 55,00 menjadi 78,5 dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,51 (kategori sedang). Dengan demikian, media scrapbook art and craft dinyatakan layak, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis kalimat efektif siswa.
