Abstract

East Lombok Regency is one of the maize development areas in NTB Province, however, maize productivity in that area is still relatively low due to the inefficient use of production inputs.The aims of this research are to; 1) analyze the income of corn farming in Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency; 2) analyze the factors that influence corn production in Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency; 3) analyze the level of economic efficiency in the use of production factors in corn farming in Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency. The research method used is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The location of the research was carried out in Bagek Papan Village and Pringgabaya Village, Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency. Respondents in this study were farmers who cultivate corn in paddy fields as many as 30 respondent farmers. Data collection techniques used in this study are survey and interview techniques. Analysis of the data used in corn farming is farm income analysis, Cobb-Douglass production function analysis and efficiency analysis of production factors. The results showed that the income of farmers obtained from corn farming in Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency in 2021 was IDR 11,671,745 per arable area or IDR 15,559,705 per hectare. The factors that affect production that have a significant (significant) effect on production are land area at a significant level of 5% and NPK fertilizer at a significant level of 10%. Meanwhile, other variables, namely labor, seeds, urea, TSP and pesticides had no significant effect at the 5% and 10% levels. The production factors used in corn farming in Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency are not and have not been efficient to cultivate, this can be seen from the efficiency criteria that have not and none have achieved efficiency with a value of NPMx/Px = 1.

Abstract

Communities in Lombok, especially North Lombok, have faced several disasters in recent years. The disasters include the Earthquake in 2018 and the Covid-19 pandemic that began in 2020, having a social and economic adverse impact. During these disasters, Trigona (stingless bee) was observed of being an income activity that was quickly recovered. This study looks at how Trigona helped beekeepers as a coping strategy after facing disasters. A qualitative study was conducted in North Lombok by conducting interviews using open questions with interview guidance. The interviews involved 35 beekeepers as participants and two key informants who were related to the activities of beekeepers in the society. The data was analyzed qualitatively and the findings were presented descriptively. This study found that Trigona was a household business that was able to help farmers coped with the impacts of disasters in North Lombok. The beekeeping could recover soon after the 2018 earthquakes, and was survived during pandemi because it was supported by five livelihood assets, which were available around them, easy to access, easy to use, and/or profitable. The assets included natural, human, social, physical, and financial assets for both beekeeping and livelihoods. Trigona beekeeping was also supported by institutions, both formal and informal.

Abstract

Jerowaru District is one of the areas in East Lombok Regency which has enormous potential in the aspect of developing lobster cultivation. Especially the cultivation of sand lobster (Panulirus homarus) which is supported by geographical conditions, public interest, and also from the government. This study aims to: (1) analyze the profitability of sand lobster (Panulirus homarus) farming, (2) analyze the feasibility of sand lobster (Panulirus homarus) farming, (3) find out the constraints on sand lobster (Panulirus homarus) farming in Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with the unit of analysis used is the sand lobster (Panulirus homarus) farming in Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency. The results showed that: (1) Sand lobster farming in Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency has a high level of profitability or a high level of profit, the income generated is Rp. 23,189,000 with a total production of Rp. 14,015,000 so that the return value is obtained. Of Investment (ROI) of 165.45%. (2) The sand lobster cultivation business in Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency is feasible because the R/C ratio value obtained is greater than 1 (2.65 > 1) and the B/C ratio is greater than zero (1.65 > 0). (3) Constraints faced by sand lobster respondents in Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency, namely weather constraints, disease, post-harvest, selling prices, feed, damaged nets and theft.

Abstract

Low feed efficiency is often an obstacle in duck farming. Thus, the duck feed in the form of noodles (duck mie) is innovated which resembles earthworms which is the natural food for ducks in their natural habitat (rice fields and swamp areas). The aim of this study was to determine the extent to which the provision of duck mie in the ration affects the productivity of Peking ducks. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments and replicated four times each, the research material in the form of 80 DOD peking ducks with treatment aged 1-7 days given 100% basal formulated feed. Age 8-14 days adapted to 95% basal formulated feed + 5% Duck Mie. Age 15 – 56 days of basal formulated feeding according to treatment T0 = 100% basal formulated feed, T1 = 90% basal formulated feed + 10% Duck Mie, T2 = 80% basal formulated feed + 20% Duck Mie, and T3 = 70% basal formulated feed + 30 % Duck Mie. The research results were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), then tested using Duncan's Distance Test. The research parameters were feed consumption, daily body weight gain (DBWG), feed efficiency, feed conversion and IOFC (Income Over Feed Cost). Based on the research conducted, it was found that giving Duck Mie in the ration did not have an effect (P<0.05) on consumption, DBWG, feed efficiency and feed conversion, but had a very significant effect on the IOFC value (P>0.01).

Abstract

Lean management is used as a management system and methodology to be able to organize and manage the management of the Agricultural Trading Business 'Hj. NURIMAN' against waste that does not add value to its trade production. The goal to be achieved in this community service program is provide assistance on the implementation of Lean Management by using the 5S concept to eliminate waste and improve services in providing value-added services to farmers. The result of this community service program able to eliminate of waste in the trading activities 'Hj. NURIMAN' and increasing services to farmers which include facilitating supplementary services and enhancing supplementary services

Abstract

Potensi pengembangan peternakan sapi di Pulau Lombok sangat besar. Kendati demikian, permasalahan klasik seperti kelangkaan pakan di musim-musim tertentu masih menjadi kendala besar para peternak untuk mendorong produktivitas ternak mereka. Padahal potensi limbah pertanian, perkebunan dan industri rumah tangga sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pakan komplit masih belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal oleh para peternak. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan peternak berkaitan dengan ilmu nutrisi pakan ternak serta teknologi tepat guna berkaitan dengan pengolahan pakan ternak merupakan kendala utama rendahnya tingkat pemanfaatan sumber daya yang ada untuk diolah menjadi pakan ternak. Kondisi tersebut menjadi alasan utama pelaksanaan pelatihan pembuatan pakan komplit dengan bahan baku sumber daya lokal ini. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama satu hari penuh yang dibagi menjadi dua sesi, yaitu; sesi kelas (materi) dan sesi luar kelas (praktik). Peserta pelatihan ini terdiri dari 16 peserta yang terdiri atas 14 orang laki-laki dan 2 orang perempuan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan sangat lancar, dimulai dari sesi materi yang sangat interaktif dan sesi praktik yang sangat dinamis. Para peserta terjun langsung membuat pakan komplit dan konsentrat sampai menghasilkan produk pakan komplit dan konsentrat yang siap kemas atau siap diberikan kepada ternak.

Abstract

Kecamatan Sekotong merupakan salah satu wilayah pertanian lahan kering di Kabupaten Lombok Barat, untuk mendukung penghidupan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan maka perlu kegiatan pengolahan lebih lanjut mengenai produk pangan olahan yang berasal dari bahan baku lokal sehingga dapat menghasilkan nilai tambah. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk wawasan berfikir kreatif kelompok masyarakat untuk mengembangkan kegiatan pengolahan produk pertanian lahan kering yang menjadi sumber penghidupan terutama di musim kemarau, untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang alternatif produk pangan olahan dan teknik pembuatannya serta meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang manajemen keuangan dan analisis ekonomi suatu unit usaha untuk menjamin konyuitas operasional kegiatan produktif hasil binaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini di Kecamatan Sekotong. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode partisipatif yang dilakukan dengan tahapan-tahapan meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi implementasi model pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat mampu meningkatkan wawasan berfikir kreatif kelompok masyarakat sehingga memiliki motivasi kuat untuk mengembangkan kegiatan pengolahan produk pertanian lahan kering yang menjadi sumber penghidupan terutama di musim kemarau, pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat meningkat tentang alternatif produk pangan olahan serta teknik pengolahannya dari berbagai hasil pertanian lahan kering di Kecamatan Sekotong, dan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan kelompok masyarakat tentang manajemen keuangan dan analisis ekonomi suatu unit usaha untuk menjamin konyuitas operasional kegiatan produktif hasil binaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini di Kecamatan Sekotong.

Abstract

Sustainable Food House is a program to optimize the use of environmentally friendly yards, and is designed to help meet family quality and nutritional needs, food diversification based on local resources, plant conservation, and increasing household income through non-rice based household creative industries for local food processing. . The objectives of this community service program (1) increase knowledge and skills, awareness and motivate the people of Pringgabaya Village, especially the group of housewives in the use of vacant land or yards, (2) apply some simple techniques for planting yards and their maintenance that can be implemented effectively. easy for the people. The types of plants that are planted in the yard are types of vegetables that can support daily needs and the rest can be sold. Methods of activities carried out include socialization, training, and practice starting from land preparation, maintenance, development, implementation and demonstration. This activity is able to encourage and increase the awareness of the group of housewives in utilizing the yard, especially using the verticulture method of hydroponics, starting from seedling to plant maintenance.

Abstract

Feed is still a major problem in the development of the livestock sub-sector. So far, farmers are still relying on animal feed needs from natural grass which causes low livestock productivity and limited livestock rearing capacity. To overcome these problems, the purpose of this community service activity is to provide training and assistance to female breeders to make complete feed and implement the use of complete feed for livestock. This training activity was carried out in Wanasaba Lauk Village, East Lombok Regency. Participants in the training activity were 15 female breeders under the Ridho Ilahi Center for Animal Husbandry. The method used in this study is the delivery of materials and the practice of making complete feeds. The training activity was carried out for 2 days and assistance for the application of complete feed technology was carried out for 3 months. The result of this training is that female farmers gain knowledge and skills in producing complete feed and in terms of capacity calculations, breeders are able to maintain a minimum of 5 heads of livestock which previously was only a maximum of 2 heads. Then in terms of productivity, average daily gain (ADG) of livestock reached 0.42 Kg/day.

Abstract

Jagung merupakan komoditas strategis nasional yang memiliki kontribusi cukup besar dalam penerimaan negara dan ketersediaan lapangan pekerjaan. Tingkat permintaan komoditas jagung diperkirakan akan terus mengalami peningkatan sehingga berpeluang menjadi komoditas yang sangat menguntungkan. Komoditas jagung merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan di Kabupaten Dompu yang ditanam baik di lahan sawah maupun di lahan kering pada musim hujan. Menanam jagung dinilai lebih menguntungkan dibandingkan dengan tanaman lainnya sehingga petani sangat tertarik untuk menanam jagung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pendapatan dan kelayakan usahatani jagung di Kabupaten Dompu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan di 5 Desa di Kabupaten Dompu yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan bahwa desa tersebut memiliki banyak petani yang melakukan usahatani jagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan usahatani jagung di Kabupaten Dompu sebesar Rp. 28.233.520/hektar/musim tanam dan layak untuk diusahakan karena memiliki nilai R/C ratio sebesar 4,48> 1
