Abstract

Contemporary educational reforms require academic supervision practices that extend beyond technical aspects of teaching and learning to incorporate values and spirituality into teachers’ professional development, particularly in Islamic educational settings. This study aims to describe the transformation of academic supervision at MI Muhammadiyah Tahfidzul Qur'an Matesih, analyze the principal’s strategies in fostering teachers’ transcendental reflective practices, and examine their implications for strengthening teacher professionalism. This research employed a qualitative approach with a single-case study design. To ensure data credibility, source triangulation was conducted by comparing data obtained from interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the transformation of academic supervision occurred through three major shifts: from incidental to scheduled supervision, from general pedagogical instruments to the integration of spiritual dimensions, and from one-way feedback to two-way reflective dialogue. The principal implemented several strategies, including weekly reflective journals, lesson study activities through professional learning communities, and the integration of Qur’anic tadabbur into reflective practices. Spiritual reinforcement was further supported through the implementation of mutaba’ah yaumiyyah to monitor teachers’ daily worship practices and mutaba’ah tahfidz to supervise and guide their Qur’anic memorization. These practices functioned as continuous reflective tools that fostered teachers’ transcendental awareness of their professional responsibilities as a form of spiritual accountability and devotion to God. The limitation of this study lies in its single-case design, which may limit the broader generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

Reading interest plays an important role in elementary school learning, but students' interest in history books remains low due to lengthy texts, complex language, minimal visuals, and monotonous learning. Therefore, interactive media is used because it can present material in a more visual, concise, and engaging manner in accordance with students' learning characteristics. This study aims to describe the use of interactive media in the form of interactive PowerPoint (interactive PPT) in increasing students' interest in reading history books. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design involving 22 fifth-grade students of SDN Wonokerto 1, Ngawi Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during three learning sessions combined with discussions, question and answer sessions, and presentations. The results showed that the use of interactive PPT was able to create more engaging and participatory learning, marked by increased attention, active student participation in asking questions and discussing, and growing interest in history material. The visual and structured presentation of material helped students understand historical concepts more easily and reduced boredom in reading. However, this study has limitations in the limited number of subjects, the context of only one class, and the relatively short duration of the intervention, so that the generalizability of the findings is still limited and requires further research with a wider scope.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with a deep learning approach on the concentration of elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design of the pretest-posttest control group type. The research sample consisted of 60 fourth-grade elementary school students divided into an experimental group and a control group each consisting of 30 students. The experimental group received instruction using a Project-Based Learning model grounded in deep learning, while the control group followed conventional instruction. Data were collected using a learning concentration questionnaire that met validity and reliability criteria (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.856). Data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene’s test of homogeneity, and hypothesis testing via the independent samples t-test. The results of the study indicate that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The mean score for the experimental group was 59.47, while that for the control group was 58.93. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.769 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant difference between the two groups. Thus, the implementation of Project-Based Learning using a deep learning approach has not yet had a significant impact on the concentration of elementary school students. Nevertheless, the experimental group showed a slightly higher average score compared to the control group, suggesting that this model has the potential to support increased student engagement in learning. Further research is recommended to implement interventions over a longer period and involve a larger sample size in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of deep learning-based project-based learning on students' concentration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the logo design branding strategy implemented by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Surakarta and its influence on consumer purchasing loyalty. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from 5 (five) MSME owners and 5 consumers in Surakarta. Data analysis techniques used interactive analysis by Miles et al and the Nvivo 15 application. The results of the study indicate that an attractive image of the MSME logo design, prominent uniqueness, and simplicity of the logo design proved to be an effective combination in attracting consumer attention and building a strong brand image. In addition, consistent branding with a good logo contributes to increasing consumer purchasing loyalty. MSMEs that implement a good branding strategy through logo design tend to have a higher level of purchasing loyalty. This study has an urgency to provide insight for other MSMEs in optimizing branding strategies to retain customers.
