Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to analyze language errors in outdoor media in Pekanbaru City. There are still many errors in the writing of outdoor media so that it is a special concern for researchers to conduct this research. This research was conducted in a qualitative descriptive manner with the collection of observational data and documentation. Open data sources in the form of outdoor media in Pekanbaru City. The results showed that there were errors in writing punctuation marks, writing capital letters, writing level numbers, writing prepositions or prepositions, writing abbreviations, and titles.Keywords: language errors, outdoor media, pekanbaru city

Abstract

Abstract: This research is entitled language politeness on Refly Harun's Youtube channel comments with the topic of Jakarta not flooding 2021. The purpose of this study is to describe comments that are in accordance with the principle of language politeness and that violate the principle of language politeness. The method used is a descriptive-synchronous method by describing qualitative data. Furthermore, the results of this study found 27 utterances that were in accordance with the adherence to the principle of language politeness and 9 violations of the principle of language compliance from a total of 225 data. The principle of politeness in question includes: (A) maxim of wisdom 2 data, (B) maxim of generosity of 2 data, (C) maxim of awarding 10 data, (D) maxim of simplicity of 1 data, (E) maxim of manufacturing of 2 data, and (F) maxim of sympathy of 10 data. violations of the principle of language compliance include: (A) 5 data discretion maxim, (B) 3 data award maxim, and (C) 1 data sympathy maxim.Keywords: adherence to the principle of civility, violation of the principle of civility, comments

Abstract

Abstract: This is a research on developing Android-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on watashi no kazoku material. The purpose of this study was to determine the procedure for developing Android-based worksheets on watashi no kazoku material and its level of validation in improving the ability to write Japanese transactional texts for class X according to the assessment of material experts and media experts. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE development model by Dick and Carry. Data obtained from the validation sheet of material experts and media experts. The results of this study indicate that based on the assessment of the two validators, Android-based worksheets to improve the ability to write Japanese transactional texts for Class X are in the valid category. Thus, android-based worksheets on watashi no kazoku material are suitable for use in Japanese class X learning.Key words: Student Worksheets, Writing skills, Japanese Transactional Texts

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out how high the understanding of wa and ga particles of Japanese language students class of 2019 is the Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP Riau University. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study was students of the class of 2019 of the Japanese language education study program FKIP Riau University which amounted to 30 people from the existing population. The data analysis technique used by researchers is to compile test instrument questions using Google Form. The results of the data analysis obtained in this study obtained a score of the test results of the Class of 2019 Students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP Riau University on wa particles of 53.8% and on ga particles by 53%.Key Words: Particle, Understanding.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe and categorize the form of predicate and the type of predicate word class contained in the news text of the main page of the Riau Pos Daily. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive analysis research method that aims to clearly explain the data described about the form of predicates and the types of predicate word classes contained in the Riau Pos Daily. The source of this research data is the news text about the Covid-19 Pandemic on the main page of the Riau Pos Daily. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru, Riau. The data in this study is a predicate in a sentence in a news text. The data are analyzed, then classified according to the form and category of the word class. Based on the results of the study, 3 predicate forms and 4 categories of word classes were found with a total of 117 data. The first division of the data is (1) word-shaped predicates totaling 73 data, (2) phrase-shaped predicates totaling 36 data, and (3) clause-shaped predicates totaling 8 data. The division of the two data is (1) verb category predicates totaling 72 data, (2) predicates categorized as nomina as many as 10 data, (3) adverbial category predicates as many as 27 data, (4) numeralia category predicates as many as 6 data, and there are 2 particle-shaped data.Keywords : predicate, word class, predicate form, category

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explain the level of errors made by students in changing causative verbs in Japanese sentences. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The instrument used in this research is a test instrument. The data processing method uses statistical formulas. The results of this study show that the error rate of causative verb changes in Japanese sentences is high, with a percentage of 76%.Key Words: causative verb, error rate.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine and explain how much influence between the perception of the social status of teachers on students' interest in becoming teachers. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The sample of this research was students of the Class of 2019 and 2020 of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Language and Arts Education, Teachers Training and Education Faculty, Riau University, totaling 60 people and the data obtained were 52 students. Data analysis techniques are described using descriptive statisticalsimple linear regression analysis to answer problem formulations and hypotheses. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed using correlation using the help of the IBM SPSS 22.0 program. The results of the study showed a positive and significant effect of perceived social status of teachers on interest in becoming a teacher.Key Words: Influence; Teacher Social Status; Interest In Becoming A Teacher

Abstract

This study aims to analyze language errors at the syntactic level in the Instagram status of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The data source used is the Instagram status which contains grammatical errors and grammatical errors. The data collection technique used is to see, observe, and record. Data analysis was performed using qualitative description techniques to explain the forms and causes of syntax errors. The research data amounted to 40, consisting of 14 phrase errors and 26 sentence errors. Based on the results of the analysis, phrasal errors are caused by the use of wrong prepositions, inappropriate wording, and excessive use of elements, while sentence errors consist of sentences without subjects, stump sentences, between predicates and inserted objects, omissions of conjunctions, use of conjunctions that are exaggeration, the use of foreign terms, and the use of unnecessary question words.

Abstract

The main human communication tool is language which is used as an exchange of information between people, be it arguments, ideas or feelings. The use of language in people's daily lives can affect articulation in communicating and interacting between humans. Diversity in language creates its own uniqueness in communicating. The use of the language of the people in the tourist village of Belimbing Island is greatly influenced by the environment. This is what causes the mixed dialect used by the Belimbing Island villagers to be very unique and diverse. The purpose of this research is to know and study the diversity of languages ​​used by the people in the tourist village of Belimbing Island and to describe the Dialect and Code Mixing of the speech of the people in Wista Village, Belimbing Island. The method used is descriptive qualitative and sociolinguistic approach. The results of the study indicate the use of dialect and code mixing in communication carried out by the people in the tourist village of Belimbing Island.

Abstract

This research aims to describe illocutionary speech acts in the Mangongkal Holi ceremony of the Toba Batak tribe. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data source for this research is three Mangongkal Holi videos on the YouTube application. The data collection method in this research uses the listen and note method, namely by listening to and recording the speech in the Mangongkal Holi video. There are three data analysis techniques for this research, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research were that four of the five types of illocutionary speech acts according to Searle were found with their respective functions, namely (1) assertive illocutionary functions stating, informing, boasting and reporting, (2) directive illocutionary functions to command, request, request, advise, forbid and invite, (3) commissive illocutionary function to offer (prayer), and (4) expressive illocutionary function to express thanks.
