Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research talked about forms and rhyme of umpasa or maxim on ceremony for the death people who had been saur matua (people whose all their children already got merried) on Tobanese people who lived at Nagasaribu, Lintongnihuta Subdistric, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This research used kualitative and descriptive metode which was aimed to describe the problem based on reality. This research used death ceremony process for saur matua as the object by using literally datas by doing some interview and classifying the datas which were got from the video of the ceremony. This research finaly got the conclusion that there instruction from umpasa, diksi from umpasa and three forms of umpasa, they were: umpasa with two lines,with the second last umpasa with four lines and the last umpasa with six lines. While there were four roles of umpasa, they were: religious, morality, kinship, conference. And based on the analysis of the data s there were eight rhymes that found on the ceremony, they were: start middle rhyme, finish rhyme, incomplete rhyme, cluster rhyme, uneven rhyme, interlude rhyme, clasp rhyme.Keywords: form umpasa, rhyme

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study titled as ineffectiveness of sentence in thesis of bahasa indonesia literature and education sciene of riau university students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the sentence and explain the causes of the ineffectiveness of the sentence student thesis PSPBSI in 2014. Using descriptive analysis method with qualitative approach. PSPBSI student theses as year of 2014 that amounted to 57 theses are the data of this study. The result found (1) 80 sentences are not effective caused by not having the element of unity, (2) 21 sentences are not effective caused by not having the equivalent element, (3) 52 sentences are not effective caused by not having the element of effectiveness, (4) 49 sentences are not effective caued by dictional imprecision, (5) 32 ineffectivenes caused by not having the logic element, (6) 51 ineffective sentences caused by not having singleness of meaning element.Keywords: ineffectiveness of sentence, in thesis, of bahasa indonesia literature and education sciene, of riau university students

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the ability to reading the text of the exposition of student of class X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to know and describe the level of ability to read exposition of the text of student of class X MA Muhammadiyah pekanbaru and describe wheater there is difference in reading ability of exposition student of class X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru in grup of sample and gander. This study has a population of 26 and sample of 24. The results of research when tested by using t test one sampel is the ability to read exposition text is not aqual to value of comparison. The comparativevalue applied is 14 whereas the result obtained is 12,42. The ability to read the text of the exposition of class X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaruquite low, in other words the hypothesis is rejected. Then tested using a two-way anova. The result is that there is difference of reading ability of exposition text of class X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru student in sampel group and gander. Based on result of research, it can be seen that students reading ability is very low because student do not understand the content in the tructure of the text of the exposition, the main ideas in the general statement, the main idea in argumentation, the main ideas in the reaffirming of opinions, the idea of exposision in the argumentasi, explanatory ideas in reaffirming opinions, conclusion and mandates. Abstract

ABSTRAK:This research is to describe useing coordinative conjunction in a novel Kasih Tak Terlerai created by Soeman HS. The aim of this research is to know and to discribe about using coordinative conjunction in a novel Kasih Tak Terlerai created by Soeman HS. This research is about descriptive qualitative. The source of this research is a novel Kasih Tak Terlerai created by Soeman HS consist of 11 sub tittle. The result of this research refer to formulation and the aim of research. Frist data be fount as much as 172 be found using coordinative conjunction in the first as much as16, using coordinative conjunction in the middle is as 152, and using coordinative conjunction in the end is nothing. Using coordinative conjunction whic connecting klausa by clausa as much as 152, and conecting sentence by sentence as much as 16 data. Second, the meaning of this novel Kasih Tak Terlerai created by Soeman HS as much as 15 meaning that is (1) quantity meaning (and) sequences meaning (then and past), selection meaning (or) opposite meaning (buts, however, while, butrather and but) and meaning more (moreover).Key words: coordinative conjunction, quantity meaning, sequences selection, apposite and more over meaning

Abstract

Abstract : This study describes Hotman Paris Hutapea’s representative acting speech in the Hotman Paris show at the iNews. This study aims to describe the type and function of speech act representative Hotman Paris Hutapea. Research is a type of descriptive-qualitative. The data in the from representative speech of Hotman Paris Hutapea sourced from the video Hotman Paris Show in iNews. The instruments in the study were Hotman Paris Show videos transcribed and typed to get the correct research data. Technique of data collecting is done by documentation and technique of data collecting is done by documentation and technique of free involved ably. Data is taken from five videos begining December 2017 to January 2018, there are of representative speech acts: assertive, predictive, retrodictive, descriptive, ascriptive, informative, confirmative, conscientious, retractive, asentif, dissentive, dispitative, responsive, suggestive. Speech acts wich states, shows, reports, assesses, categorizes, references, informs, concludes, allows, recognizes, references, refutes, accepts, disagrees, objections, questions, responds, suggests, guesses, assumes.Key words: Speech, Representative, Hotman Paris Hutapea.

Abstract

Abstract : This research discusses about coordinating conjunction in political news Daily morning Riau Pos. This study aims to determine the type of coordinating conjunction and to describe the use of relationships of coordinated conjunction meaning in the political news of Riau Pos Daily Morning Post. Research is useful theoretically and practically. This research is a type of qualitative research and using descriptive method. The technique used in data collection in this research is documentation technique. The data that have been collected and then analyzed with several stages, namely reading activity repeatedly and carefully in the data, identify the data and describe the data, and concluded the research results. This research data comes from the discourse of political news in the newspaper Daily Morning Riau Pos. From the research that has been done, the researcher finds 240 data, that is 163 data conjunction and, 3 data conjunction let alone, 5 data conjunction and, 12 data conjunction other than, 3 data conjunction with, 3 data conjunction before, 3 data conjunction then 1 data conjunction data, but 1 conjunction data but 1 conjunction data but 1 conjunction data but 1 conjunction data instead of 3 conjunction data whereas, even 3 conjunction data, 10 data conjunctions only, 4 data conjunction is, 9 data conjunction so, 1 data conjunction therefore, and 1 data conjunction thus. So, the most data is the conjunction data and. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that there are (1) the coordination conjunction relation of the meanings of addition: and, moreover, and, besides, and with; (2) coordinated conjunctive relation meaning meaning: then and then; (3) the coordinating conjunction of the meaning of the election; or; (4) a coordinated conjunction of the meaning of resistance: but, however, but rather, even, and whereas; (5) the coordination conjunction relation of more meaning: even; (6) a coordinating conjunction of correlation means of meaning: only; (7) the coordinating conjunctive relation of the meaning of restriction: only; (8) the coordinating conjunction relation meaning meaning: is; and (9) the coordinating conjunction of the meaning of the inference: so, therefore, and thus. Abstract: Basically, this study aims to describe the type and function of onomatopoeic comic Mahabharata. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive method to describe the type and function of onomatopoeic comic Mahabharata. The results of the study and discussion of data acquisition: (1) In the comics Mahabharata, there are three types of onomatopoeic used in the comic. The types of onomatopoeic contained in the comics is a) onomatopoeic sound human, b) onomatopoeic sound of the animal, and c) other onomatopoeic sound. 2) function onomatope used in comics is a) expression functions b) exploration function.Keywords: onomatopoeia, comic, mahabharata

Abstract

Abstract: This study describes the use of, or the use of the Malay language greeting system isolects Palalawan. The aim of this study was to describe the use or consumption of kinship and nonkekerabatan address system in the language of the Malaysian isolects Palalawan Pelalawan. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method, it means analyzing and describing data descriptively. Sources of this research data from some informants from the Pelalawan community. The result of the research is the classification of the greetings system of kinship and nonkekerabatan in the community of Pelalawan Village. by identifying the data, classifying data based on kinship and nonkekerabatan, and describing data in accordance with the study's theory related to the research. Based on the results of the study, the authors found sixty-nine data use or used the greeting system. With the distribution of the data kin and thirty-four thirty-five nonkekerabatan among others by age there are thirteen of the data, greeting by religious titles are four pieces of data, based on nicknames or physical address there are five dates, the greeting to the profession or usual title, there are five dates. And the greeting-shaped word-greeting class there are seven data. Regards isolects Pelalawan Riau Malay language is a form of greeting documentation in Palalawan society in Pelalawan.Keywords: Malay language, salute system, kinship, unrelatedness

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determined the percentage of accurate use of correltive conjunction in Pekanbaru Tribun newspaper and the cause of inaccurate use of correlative conjunction in Pekanbaru Tribun newspaper. The method used in this study was descriptive method with qualitative apporoach. The data source in this study was Pekanbaru Tribun newspaper edition 1 until March 31, 2017. The data of this study was all sentence that use correlative conjunction in Pekanbaru Tribun newspaper. The result finding of this study seen from the use of conjunction in headline of Pekanbaru Tribun newspaper for one month. Based on the results of this study found that 73,17% of appropriate use and 26,83% are not appropriate.Keyword: conjunction use, corelative conjunction, headline, tribun pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses about the motivation of the students in Japanese Education program of Riau University. The aim of this research is to measure the motivation of students and what would affect the said motivation on the matter of studying Japanese language. To conduct the research, the writer examined 57 of the students in Japanese Education program of Riau University from the generation of year 2017. The method used was quantitative descriptive research method. The result of this research is that the motivation of the students in Japanese Education program of Riau University from the generation of year 2017 could be classified as strongly motivated. The motivation of 2017 generation is more or less 73.13%. This research also brings light to what kind of factors which would affect the motivation to study of the students. The factors are; the subject and the facility of the lesson, and the presence of other person. 29.82% of the students disagrees that the myriads of subjects about conjugation makes them eager to study. 26.31% of the students agreed that the lack of facility to study makes them eager to study. 54.38% of the students agreed that studying with friends could help them in understanding the subject of Japanese Language.Key Words : Motivation, Studying Japanese Language
