Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the cybergogy approach in improving Science Process Skills and learning outcomes. The research design used is One Group Pretest Posttest Design with a quantitative approach. The data collection method used is test and observation. The subjects of this study were 16 students of class VIII-A of Junior High School 2 Papar, Indonesia. Observers in this study were two science teachers and one student majoring in science. The instruments used in this study include learning implementation sheets, Science Process Skills observation sheets, pretest and posttest sheets of cognitive learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used quantitative analysis. Implementing learning through the cybergogy approach is carried out well, and a high learning success rate affects the improvement of science process skills and learning outcomes. The pretest of 80% and posttest of 94,4% showed increased cognitive and affective learning outcomes. The average N-Gain result obtained is 0.7 with high criteria. Science process skills as psychomotor and affective aspects experienced a significant increase. The use of PhET media also increased science process skills and learning outcomes. This study concludes that implementing the cybergogy approach to learning using PhET as a V-Lab media can improve science process skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi  diberbagai aspek kehidupan sebagai salah satui indikator tren global yang sudah memasuki era revolusi industri 4.0. Melakukan eksplorasi fase awal terkait integrasi literasi STEM dan keterampilan riset mahasiswa pendidikan sains, sebagai landasan pemilihan dan penentuan fitur yang cocok guna menentukan strategi pembelajaran khususnya diperguruan tinggi pencetak calon guru IPA pada perkuliahan bioteknologi. Subjek adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan IPA UTM angkatan 2015 (semester 6) tahun akademik Genap 2017/2018) dengan teknik typical case sampling. Sampel yang diambil sejumlah 99 (75.6%) yang terdaftar aktif. Instrumen penelitian  berupa angket dengan proses analisis menggunakan metode deskriptif. Simpulan penelitian adalah mayoritas mahasiswa memberikan respons positif terkait mengintegrasikan literasi STEM  dan keterampilan riset pada berbasis kearifan lokal pada matakuliah bioteknologi  untuk mengembangkan kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru IPA yang dibelajarkan.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the improvement of learning motivation and science process skills of junior high school students in science learning by implementing a virtual laboratory. The type of research used is the pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design with research subjects, namely 33 students of class VII-D of SMPN 35 Surabaya in the 202/2022 Academic Year. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are by test methods and the spread of questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative statistics by using the N-Gain test. The results showed that student learning motivation got percentage from 65% (medium category) to 80% (good category) with an average N-Gain of 0.42 including moderate categories. Students science process skills got score 70 (enough category) to 83 (good category) with an average N-Gain of 0.47 including moderate categories. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of learning media in the form of virtual laboratory can increase students learning motivation and science process skills in science learning and in line with the Ministry of Education's policy on the implementation of education policies in the emergency period of the spread of Covid-19.

Abstract

This study aimed to find the effect of the POGIL learning method and students’ gender on their learning performance. The type of research used was one group pretest-posttest design and quantitative descriptive. Data collection techniques used were observation and test methods. The data have been collected through observation and test result. The instruments used in this research were: (1) observation sheets of POGIL learning method application, (2) pretest and posttest of students’ cognitive abilities (3) self-assessment sheets of students’ affective abilities, and (4) science process skill observation sheets of students’ psychomotor abilities. The participants in this study were 20 students in the city of Surabaya with 8 male students and 12 female students. This research showed the implementation of the POGIL learning method significantly affected the students’ affective, cognitive, and psychomotor performance. Majority of the research subjects achieved a very good grades on their affective test, meanwhile the minority of students’ psychomotor abilities achieved an average score. Genders also influence their learning performance, with female students performing better than male. In conclusion, the implementation of the POGIL learning method and the students’ gender are two elements that simultaneously affect their learning performance.

Abstract

Abstrak: Beralihnya pembelajaran daring ke luring tidak serta merta membawa perubahan yang signifikan dalam kualitas pembelajaran. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebijakan sekolah tatap muka dan berpusat pada peserta didik adalah project based learning (PjBL). Masalah utama yang dihadapi para guru dalam menerapkan PjBL adalah kesulitan memilih dan membuat media pembelajaran yang praktis dan efisien. Tujuan pelatihan ini untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para mitra (Guru IPA) dengan mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran powerpoint interaktif berbasis PjBL. Metode pelaksanaan untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini dibagi dalam tiga tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan dan pendampingan, serta pasca pelatihan dan pendampingan. Mitra kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah MGMP IPA SMP Kabupaten Magetan. Sasaran pelatihan adalah 55 guru mata pelajaran IPA. Indikator keberhasilan pelatihan dapat dilihat dari peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam membuat media powerpoint interaktif. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 89% guru mampu membuat media powerpoint sesuai dengan komponen-komponen yang wajib ada dalam powerpoint interaktif. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta setelah pelatihan meningkat yang ditandai dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,75 dengan kriteria tinggi.Abstract: The shift from online to offline learning does not necessarily bring significant changes in the quality of learning. One learning approach that is in accordance with the face-to-face and student-centered school policy is project based learning (PjBL). The main problem faced by teachers in implementing PjBL is the difficulty of selecting and making practical and efficient learning media. The purpose of this training is to overcome the problems faced by partners (science teachers) by conducting training in making interactive powerpoint learning media based on PjBL. The implementation method for solving this problem is divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation of training and mentoring, and post-training and mentoring. Partners of this training activity are MGMP IPA SMP Magetan Regency. The target of the training is 55 teachers of science subjects. The success indicator of the training can be seen from the increase in the knowledge and skills of teachers in making interactive powerpoint media. The results of the training show that 89% of teachers are able to make powerpoint media in accordance with the components that must exist in interactive powerpoints. The knowledge and skills of participants after the training have increased which is indicated by the N-Gain value of 0.75 with high criteria.

Abstract

Pancasila merupakan cita-cita bangsa dan sistem nilai yang dieksplorasi dari nilai-nilai luhur dan kearifan lokal Nusantara serta bagian dari pemikiran peradaban dari bangsa Indonesia. Tujuan dari kegiatan studi ini adalah merepresentasikan urgensi materi pelatihan dan ragam strategi menginternalisasi nilai-nilai pancasila melalui pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah bagi pendidik di Kabupaten Magetan. Jumlah partisipan dari kegiatan ini adalah pendidik di Kabupaten Magetan sejumlah 97 orang. Kegiatan pelatihan terdiri tiga tahap, yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Instrumen penelitian bentuk angket yang isi menggunakan Google Form. Hasil respons partisipan pelatihan secara umum untuk tiap indikator urgesi materi PKM menujukkan preferensi positif dengan mayortitas skor berkategori sangat baik dan baik. Ragam strategi menginternalisasi nilai-nilai pancasila yang dominan disampaikan oleh partisipan melalui (1) budaya di sekolah; (2) implemetasi pembelajaran; (3) pembentukan karakter; (4) menjadikan diri sebagai teladan, (5) peran serta masyarakat; dan (6) kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Simpulan pelatihan internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila di SMP melalui pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah dapat dikemukakan bahwa Internalisasi proses internalisasi merupakan hal sangat penting dalam konteks kehidupan yang diantaranya melalui budaya sekolah; pembelajaran, pembentukan karakter; keteladan, peran serta masyarakat; dan ekstrakurikuler. Rekomendasi diantaranya (1) Perlu dikembangkan lebih lanjut berkaitan dengan materi internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila di SMP dan (perlu dilakukan pengembangan tentang metode yang digunakan dalam internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila di SMP yang diintegrasikan ke dalam pembelajaran, budaya sekolah, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, peran serta masyarakat; berbasis dengan kearifan lokal sehingga dapat membumikan nilai-nilai Pancasila ke dalam kultur masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the improvement of students’ science process skills and students’ interest in learning through guided inquiry learning with PhET based media. The type of the research was one group pretest-posttest design and quantitative descriptive. The subject in this research were 20 students VII-D of Junior High School 28 Surabaya with 10 male students and 10 female students. The instruments in this research were test sheet and questionnaires. Data were collected by (1) pretest and posttest of science process skills (2) questionnaire of students’ interest in learning. The research results showed that there were improvement in students' process science skills consider as moderate category in N-Gain score and students' interest in learning from moderately to sufficient criteria. The students gave a positive response in learning implementation. Conclusion of this research was that the implementation of guided inquiry learning based on PhET media can improve the students’ science process skills and students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of cybergogy strategies implemented in blended learning to improve critical thinking ability and to develop students' tolerance attitude. This research used a one group pretest-posttest design and quantitative descriptive. The subject in this research were 16 students of VIII-I class in Junior High School 5 Gresik. The instruments in this research were test sheets and questionnaires. Data were collected by (1) pretest and posttest of critical thinking ability (2) questionnaire of students' tolerance attitude. The research results showed that there were improvements in students' critical thinking ability with a N-Gain score in medium category, and students' tolerance attitude has obtained a very tolerant category. The students gave a positive response in learning implementation. The conclusion of this research was that the cybergogy strategies could improve the students' critical thinking ability and develop to students' tolerance attitude.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the improvement of critical thinking skills and curiosities of Junior High School students’ in science learning using problem-based learning. This research design used one group pretest-postest. This research involved 33 students of class VIII-A of MTs Miftahul Ulum Magerari in Academic Year 2021/2022. This research’s data collection methods included observation , test, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research was quatitative statistics by using Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results showed that implementation of problem-based learning can improve critical thinking skills and student curiosities in science learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the implementation of learning while improving cognitive learning outcomes used discovery-based learning models and student responses. This research used pre-experimental with one group pretest and posttest design. The participants in this study were 25 students of class VII SMP. The data were collected by observation, tests, and surveys and then was analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The results that were obtained showed the value of implementing learning included in the very good criteria. The results of the N-Gain obtained a moderate improvement category so that students' cognitive learning outcomes experienced a significant increase. The results that were analyzed of student responses to discovery-based learning showed positive responses by students with the acquisition of very good criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there was an effect of discovery-based learning on cognitive learning outcomes and positive responses by seventh-grade junior high school students.
