Abstract

Sejumlah hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis siswa masih kurang, khususnya menulis teks berita. Beberapa faktor penyebabnya, seperti kemampuan membaca, penguasaan kosakata, dan motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan ada tidaknya hubungan: (1) penguasaan kosakata dengan keterampilan menulis teks berita; (2) motivasi belajar dengan keterampilan menulis teks berita; dan (3) penguasaan kosakata dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dengan keterampilan menulis teks berita. Populasi penelitian korelasional ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Simo sebanyak 254 siswa. Sampel diambil sebagian dari populasi yakni sebanyak 128 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket. Validasi instrumen menggunakan uji validitas internal. Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi korelasi sederhana dan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat korelasi positif antara penguasaan kosakata dan keterampilan menulis teks berita; (2) terdapat korelasi positif antara motivasi belajar dan keterampilan menulis teks berita; serta (3) terdapat korelasi positif antara penguasaan kosakata dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dengan keterampilan menulis teks berita. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi para guru dalam proses belajar, khususnya menulis teks berita.   News Text Writing Skills Viewed from Vocabulary Mastery and Learning Motivation A number of research results show that students' writing skills are still lacking, especially writing news texts. Several factors cause this, such as reading ability, vocabulary mastery, and learning motivation. This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between: (1) vocabulary mastery and news text writing skills; (2) motivation to learn with news text writing skills; and (3) vocabulary mastery and learning motivation together with news text writing skills. The population of this correlational research was 254 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Simo. The sample was taken from a portion of the population, namely 128 students. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques use tests and questionnaires. Validation of the instrument uses an internal validity test. Data analysis uses simple and multiple correlation regression techniques. The research results show that (1) there is a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and news text writing skills; (2) there is a positive correlation between learning motivation and news text writing skills; and (3) there is a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and learning motivation together with news text writing skills. The results of this research can be a reference for teachers in the learning process, especially writing news texts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the vulnerability of primary school teachers in rural areas in conducting authentic and integrative assessments of Indonesian language learning. This research approach is a case study. The participants were 50 primary school teachers grade 5 in rural areas. Data were obtained through questionnaires, teacher-made assessment instruments, and interviews. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that most of the teachers did not understand the concept of authentic and integrative assessment in learning Indonesian. However, from an analysis of the assessment instrument he made, the teacher has applied the concept of authentic and integrative assessment because he copied from the teacher's book provided by the government. In practice, most teachers apply authentic and integrative assessment to receptive language skills (reading and listening), but only a small number apply them to productive skills (writing and speaking). The reason is insufficient time, the description of the score has ambiguous meaning, and the facilities at the school are not supportive. It is urgent to hold periodic training for teachers in rural areas to improve competence in assessing Indonesian subjects so that they no longer use the teacher's book as the only source of learning, including in assessment.

Abstract

Innovations in contextual learning, such as literature instruction at higher education, are necessary for the digital transformation of education. Students' respect, sensitivity, and comprehension of cultural values can all be strategically developed through literature rooted in the local culture. The purpose of the study is to describe the use of flipbooks based on local culture in contextual literature learning and examine students' responses and perceptions. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with 31 students from the PGMI program at UIN Kiai Ageng Muhammad Besari Ponorogo who are enrolled in the Language and Literature Skills course as the subjects. In this study, the research data is the literary learning process using flipbooks based on local culture. Data collection was conducted through classroom observation, in-depth interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires to students. The questionnaire in this study was only used to support student response data in using flipbooks during learning. The results of the study indicate that flipbooks were used in three stages of learning: (a) introduction to the material, (b) discussion of the content of the short stories, and (c) analysis assignments. Students demonstrated high enthusiasm for using flipbooks, particularly due to their attractive format, ease of access, and the relevance and familiarity of local cultural values. The interactive features in the flipbooks further strengthened students' understanding of the cultural context of the stories. Thus, locally-based flipbook media can create a contextual, critical, and reflective literary learning experience while enhancing appreciation for cultural diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop gamification-based learning media using QuizWhizzer on the topic of the Bank Financial Industry. The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4D development model, which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The research subjects were Grade X students of SMAN 3 Banjarmasin enrolled in Economics, specifically in the topic of the banking financial industry. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, involving 36 students per class. Data collection techniques included expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test). Data analysis techniques included validity analysis by media and material experts, practicality analysis based on student responses, and effectiveness analysis using the N-Gain formula to measure learning improvement. The results showed that the developed media was considered valid by experts, practical according to student assessments, and effective in improving learning outcomes, with an average N-Gain score of 0.7468, which falls into the high category. These findings highlight the importance of integrating digital learning media to enhance students’ academic performance. It is recommended that teachers adopt interactive and gamified learning platforms like QuizWhizzer to improve student understanding, engagement, and knowledge retention, leading to better overall learning outcomes in economics education.

Abstract

. Bagi remaja atau siswa di SMA, pengetahuan praktis lebih menarik dibandingkan pengetahuan teoritis semata. Pembelajaran kimia perlu didukung dengan praktek pembuatan produk-produk kimia yang secara nyata dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Melalui kegiatan praktek, siswa akan mendapat gambaran penerapan manfaat kimia dengan jelas dan dapat mengeksplor kreativitasnya, sehingga siswa akan lebih mudah memahami materi pembelajaran kimia. Sabun mandi padat dan liquid detergent adalah sebagian dari produk kimia yang banyak dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Proses pembuatan sabun padat herbal dan liquid detergent tidaklah sulit, karena dapat diproduksi dalam skala kecil dengan proses yang sederhana sehingga dapat dilakukan di sekolah-sekolah ataupun di rumah, bahkan dapat dijadikan sebagai produk wirausaha. Meski demikian, untuk proses pembuatan sabun padat herbal dan liquid detergent perlu didasari dengan pengetahuan dan pengalaman praktis agar mampu menghasilkan produk yang aman untuk digunakan. Hal ini yang menjadi pertimbangan kami dalam pemilihan materi pelatihan kimia di SMAN 1 Sukorejo, Kendal.  Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan sabun padat herbal dan liquid detergent  yang kami lakukan ini merupakan implementasi dharma ke tiga dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, yaitu Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. Kegiatan pelatihan kali ini mampu memberikan gambaran nyata pada siswa seputar teknologi pembuatan produk-produk kimia terapan. Para siswa melakukan praktek dengan senang dan tidak merasa kesulitan dalam memahami materinya. Kegiatan praktek pembuatan produk-produk kimia terapan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan pada proses pembelajaran kimia di SMA

Abstract

Ketika berkomunikasi, seseorang menyampaikan tuturan tidak sekadar dari ide atau pikiran dari penutur tersebut. Hal tersebut, tentunya seseorang harus memperhatikan etika dalam berkomunikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan bentuk pematuhan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa pada maksim kesimpatian dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye ditinjau dari teori kesantunan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber yang digunakan yaitu sumber primer berupa tuturan atau dialog tertulis dari para tokoh dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye yang memuat prinsip kesantunan berbahasa maksim kesimpatian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dengan teknik analisis dokumen berupa novel yang berjudul Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan memilih tuturan tokoh yang mengandung pematuhan maksim kesimpatian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan sebanyak 19 data pematuhan maksim kesimpatian dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye yang ditinjau dari teori kesantunan Leech.

Abstract

This study is based on the importance of literature education in the development of Indonesian culture within the global cybernetics flow. However, Indonesian literature education, which has gained international interest, faces significant challenges. These challenges include the low appreciation for literature and the difficulty of global access. This study aims to analyze global trends in the model of Indonesian literature education using bibliometric methods based on data from the Scopus database. The analysis aims to understand research patterns and international contributions to the development of literature education models. Through the collection and analysis of metadata from over 900 articles, this study found significant developments in publication numbers, increased international collaboration, and emerging trends since 2015. The results indicate that the use of digital technologies, such as interactive learning applications, is crucial in adapting literature education to the existing global trends.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the values of character education to develop teaching and learning materials for Drama course. It is a qualitative descriptive study by using Research and Development design. The data were obtained from the play entitled Panembahan Reso¸ written by W.S. Rendra by looking at the settings, the characters, the plots and some relevant documents. The technique used to collect the data was by document analysis technique. The results of the data analysis using interactive data analysis indicate that the values of character education are reflected throught the characters and their characterization; the values represented include the attitudes of being religious, hard working, peaceful, democratics, caring, fond of reading, responsible, having national spirit and excellence recognition.

Abstract

Technology integration in Indonesian language learning is a crucial requirement in the transformation of 21st-century education, but its implementation at the classroom level still faces various obstacles. This study aims to analyze the obstacles to technology integration in Indonesian language learning in the Solo Raya region using the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework. This study used an evaluative research design with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model and applied a mixed-method approach with a dominant qualitative approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with Indonesian language teachers and MGMP coordinators, questionnaire distribution, and analysis of digital learning documentation. The research subjects included Indonesian language teachers and junior high school students in the Surakarta, Karanganyar, Boyolali, and Wonogiri regions. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, with triangulation applied to maintain the validity of the findings. The results showed that obstacles to technology integration stem not only from teachers' limited technological knowledge, but also from the weak integration between technological knowledge, pedagogy, and Indonesian language learning content. Technology tends to be used instrumentally and has not been pedagogically integrated. Contextual factors such as limited infrastructure and students' digital literacy contribute to these barriers. This study concludes that effective technology integration in Indonesian language learning requires holistic and contextual strengthening of TPACK, not simply improving digital device proficiency.

Abstract

In response to the growing importance of environmental accounting, this research focused on creating a contextual-based e-module to bolster students' literacy in green accounting, developed with a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach grounded in the local Sasirangan textile industry. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) framework through the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), the study rigorously evaluated the digital tool's validity, practicality, and pedagogical impact. Results from expert assessments confirmed the module's high validity at 91.06% (out of a maximum score of 100%), while feedback from educators and students yielded a 93.22% practicality rating (out of 100%), reflecting its ease of implementation. Furthermore, the e-module demonstrated significant efficacy in improving student proficiency, as evidenced by a high-category N-Gain score of 0.78, which indicates that the module is highly effective in a pedagogical context. These findings suggest that the developed media is not only a valid and functional learning resource but also a strategic innovation for embedding sustainability and environmental consciousness into the modern accounting curriculum.
