Instalation of solar cell panels permanently will not get maximum power point tracker (MPPT). To get the MPPT, the controlling of solar cell panels are needed in order to follow the direction of sun. In this paper, the design of control system of solar panel that capable to control of solar panel with 2 freedom track based on AT89C51 microcontroller is described. The movement is movement from east to west according to the earth rotation and movement from north to south in according to the earth revolution to get the MPPT. As a result, the prototype of design system has capable to control motor drive of solar cell panel, both automatically and manually with 2-line track to get MPPT.

This research discusses about vector control of single-phase Induction Motor (IM) with two main and auxiliary windings under stator winding open-phase fault based on Indirect Rotor Flux-Oriented Control (IRFOC). Unlike conventional controller which can only be used for single-phase IM with two windings, the proposed technique in this paper can also be used for single-phase IM under open-phase fault. The proposed fault-tolerant drive system in this paper is based on using transformation matrix. Simulations results confirm the validity of the theoretical analysis.

Fuel cells are new alternative energy resource that has a great promise for distributed generation and electric vehicle application. However, fuel cells have a slow response due to their slow internal electromechanical and thermodynamic response. To optimize the fuel cell system performance, a fuel cell DC-DC converter with an appropriate controller which can regulate the power flow and automatically adjust the converter output voltage is needed. This paper proposes a new control technique for fuel cell DC-DC power converter. Design of the proposed control method for fuel cell DC-DC power converter is provided. A new approach for converter controllers synthesis based on dynamic evolution control theory is presented. In this paper, synthesis example of boost DC-DC converter is discussed. Performance of the proposed dynamic evolution control under step load variation condition is simulated under Matlab-Simulink environment. Simulation results show that the proposed techniques are capable for controlling fuel cell DC-DC converter.

This paper analyzed three-level Cascaded H-bridge Multilevel Inverter (CHMLI) utilizing two modulation techniques namely Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM). The performance and the output of CHMLI in terms of Total Harmonic Distotion (THD) % and circuits complexity were compared. The simulations models were constructed using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The results showed the CHMLI produced the lowest THD contents and utilized fewer components. Moreover, the SVPWM produced less THD than SPWM.

Recent advancements in the internet, social media, and internet of things (IoT) devices have significantly increased the amount of data generated in a variety of formats. The data must be converted into formats that is easily handled by the data analysis techniques. It is mathematically and physically expensive to apply machine learning algorithms to big and complicated data sets. It is a resource-intensive process that necessitates a huge amount of logical and physical resources. Machine learning is a sophisticated data analytics technology that has gained in importance as a result of the massive amount of data generated daily that needs to be examined. Apache Spark machine learning library (MLlib) is one of the big data analysis platforms that provides a variety of outstanding functions for various machine learning tasks, spanning from classification to regression and dimension reduction. From a computational standpoint, this research investigated Apache Spark MLlib 2.0 as an open source, autonomous, scalable, and distributed learning library. Several real-world machine learning experiments are carried out in order to evaluate the properties of the platform on a qualitative and quantitative level. Some of the fundamental concepts and approaches for developing a scalable data model in a distributed environment are also discussed.

Preprogrammed monitoring of engine failure due to spark plug misfire can be traced using a method called machine learning. Unluckily, a challenge to get a high-efficiency rate because of a massive volume of training data is required. During the study, these failure-generated were enhanced with a novel statistical signal-based analysis called Z-freq to improve the exploration. This study is an exploration of the time and frequency content attained from the engine after it goes under a specific situation. Throughout the trial, the misfire was formed by cutting the voltage supplied to simulate the actual outcome of the worn-out spark plug. The failure produced by fault signals from the spark plug misfire were collected using great sensitivity, space-saving and a robust piezo-based sensor named accelerometer. The achieved result and analysis indicated a significant pattern in the coefficient value and scattering of Z-freq data for spark plug misfire. Lastly, the simulation and experimental output were proved and endorsed in a series of performance metrics tests using accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity for prediction purposes. Finally, it confirmed that the proposed technique capably to make a diagnosis: fault detection, fault localization, and fault severity classification.

A security has become very important along with the increasing number of crime cases. If some security system fails, there is a need for a mechanism that capable in recording the criminal act. Therefore, it can be used for investigation purpose of the authorities. The objective of this research is to develop a security system using video streaming that able to monitor in real-time manner, display movies in a browser, and record a video as triggered by a sensor. This monitoring system comprises of two security level camera as a video recorder of special events based on infrared sensor that is connected to a microcontroller via serial communication and camera as a real-time room monitor. The hardware system consists of infrared sensor circuit to detect special events that is serially communicated to an AT89S51 microcontroller that controls the system to perform recording process, and the software system consists of a server that displaying video streaming in a webpage and a video recorder. The software for video recording and server camera uses Visual Basic 6.0 and for video streaming uses PHP 5.1.6. As the result, the system can be used to record special events that it is wanted, and can displayed video streaming in a webpage using LAN infrastructure.

In order to deliver maximum output of photovoltaic (PV) cells, the usage of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is essential. The speed and stability of the tracking technique are highly desired. Perturb and Observe (P&O) is one of the most common tracking techniques, but it suffers from the slow tracking speed at small duty cycle step and fluctuates when subjected with large duty step, which results in higher losses under dynamic weather to which the photovoltaic (PV) cells exposed. In this paper, variable step size Perturb and Observe is introduced throughout Matlab/Simulink simulation to overcome this problem to achieve higher efficiency, reliable tracking accuracy and higher speed under fast changing weather. In comparison with other variable P&O techniques, the proposed method features a dynamic step size for more tracking efficiency and accuracy. Double diode modelling is used in this technique for better photovoltaic (PV) cell’s characteristic prediction. In this study, the adapted technique had been tested to wide range of sun irradiance and operation temperatures.
