Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of students’ problem solving ability in solving comparative material. This research is qualitative research designed to determine the level of mathematical problem solving ability of students in the subject of comparison. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Mataram with a total of 127 students. The sampling technique used is a non- probability sampling technique with purposive sampling type. Collecting data in the form of tests and interviews. The instrument used is in the form of a problem-solving ability test which consists of 2 questions. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the level of problem solving ability of students is mostly in the medium category with an average of 68.37. The level of mathematical problem solving ability was grouped into three categories, from 25 students it was found that 7 students had high problem solving abilities or with a percentage (28 %), students with moderate problem solving abilities were 9 students (%), and students with low problem solving abilities as many as 9 students (36 %).

Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ mathematical communication skills in terms of learning outcomes in the one-variable linear equation material. The resreach method used in description test and interview. The subjects in this study wrw 26 students. This type of resreach is descriptive qualitative resreach. Based on data analysis 1) students with an average score of 90 have high mathematical communication skills, 2) students with an average score of 89,8 have moderate mathematical communication skills and 3) students with an average score of 83,5 have low mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a monopoly game as a learning medium in class VIII opportunity material at SMPN 1 Narmada that is valid and practical. The type of research used is development research by adopting five steps in the ADDIE stage, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The sample in this study was class VIII.3, which consisted of 30 students. The data collection technique was a questionnaire to measure the validity of the media which was distributed to 5 validators namely 2 mathematics lecturers at the University of Mataram and 3 mathematics teachers at SMPN 1 Narmada and student response questionnaires which were used to measure the practicality of the media which were distributed to class VIII.3. The results showed that the calculation of the learning media validation questionnaire was declared valid based on the Aiken index category with a value of V = 0.898 and the student response questionnaire results obtained were Practical based on the practicality category with a percentage value of 76%. Based on the results of these calculations, it is stated that this learning media can already be used for learning in schools, especially in the subject of opportunities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi SPLDV ditinjau dari jenis kelamin siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Narmada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 siswa yang terdiri dari 3 berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan 3 berjenis kelamin perempuan dengan kemampuan awal matematika yang berbeda-beda. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu model Miles & Hubarman dengan langkah-langkah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan: 1) Siswa berjenis kelamin laki-laki dengan kemampuan awal matematika tinggi dan sedang mengalami kesulitan dalam meyelesaikan soal cerita materi SPLDV pada tahap melihat kembali hasil; 2) Siswa berjenis kelamin laki-laki dengan kemampuan awal matematika rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi SPLDV pada tahap merencanakan strategi penyelesaian masalah, melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian masalah dan melihat kembali hasil; 3) Siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan dengan kemampuan awal matematika tinggi tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi SPLDV; 4) Siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan dengan kemampuan awal matematika sedang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi SPLDV pada tahap melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian pada operasi hitung; 5) Siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan dengan kemampuan awal matematika rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi SPLDV pada tahap melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian dan tahap melihat kembali hasil; 6) interpretasi kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah menurut Polya dengan nilai tertinggi 72,2225 diperoleh oleh siswa perempuan dengan kemampuan awal matematika sedang dan nilai terendah 44,45 dioeroleh oleh siswa laki-laki dengan kemampuan awal matemtika rendah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of peer methods on mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 16 Mataram in the academic year 2019/2020. The results of this research are expected to be useful theoretically and practically. This type of research is an experimental study with a quasi experimental design type nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is all students of class IV SDN 16 Mataram in the academic year 2019/2020 consisting of two classes namely class IV / A and IV / B. Sampling technique This research is a saturated sample ... The data collection methods are observation, test, and documentation. Data analysis was performed with a normality test, a homogeneity test, and a hypothesis test using the formula t-test variance. Based on the posttest results, the average value of mathematics learning outcomes in the experimental class is 76 while the average control class is 51 so the experimental class has a higher average value than the control class. Hypothesis testing at a significant level of 5% yields t-count = 8.821 while t-table = 1.686, in other words, t-count> t-table. Based on the testing criteria, if tcount> ttable, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence of the use of peer tutoring methods on mathematics learning outcomes of students in grade IV SDN 16 Mataram in the 2019/2020 school year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) berbantuan media pembelajaran geoboard  terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Keruak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen tipe nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Keruak sebanyak 60 siswa, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 31 dan siswa kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 29 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan tes pemahaman konsep. Analisis data diawali dengan uji normalitas dan dilanjutkan dengan uji homogenitas, selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t dan uji lanjutan dengan uji effect size. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai  yaitu  dan nilai Sig. 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe STAD berbantuan media pembelajaran geoboard lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran konvensional. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji effect size yang didapatkan hasil 1,175 berada pada kisaran nilai strong effect yang berarti model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe STAD berbantuan media pembelajaran geoboard berpengaruh tinggi terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Keruak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on problem-solving abilities. The benefits of research for researchers are as an exercise in carrying out scientific research and for teachers, it is to increase the self-efficacy of students in the classroom so that they can improve problem-solving abilities. This research was a type of quantitative research using simple linear regression analysis techniques. This research was carried out at MA NW Putri Narmada for the 2021/2022 academic year. With a population of all class X MA NW Putri Narmada and a sample of 61 students. The data collection instrument used questionnaires and tests. Questionnaires were used to obtain data about students' self-efficacy, while tests were used to obtain data about students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The results showed that self-efficacy had an effect on the mathematical problem-solving ability of students of class X MA NW Putri Narmada with an effect of 30.3%, while the level of self-efficacy relationship with mathematical problem-solving skills was 0.55 with a moderate level of relationship. student learning, the more knowledge the student has and the better the mathematical problem-solving ability of the student, so students who have high self-efficacy will be more diligent and enthusiastic in learning.

Abstract

Observations and interviews conducted with elementary school teachers in cluster V Lingsar obtained the result that teachers were still evaluating manually using paper. Teachers need practical and effective evaluation media to save time on correcting answers. Reflecting on this need, community service activities are carried out to provide training on using the google form as a practical and effective evaluation medium. The activity participants consisted of 20 elementary school teachers in cluster V Lingsar. Activities consist of delivery of material and practice. All participants gave a positive response to the activities carried out because these activities were in accordance with the needs of the participants.

Abstract

the engagement activity begins with the development of technology and communication, as well as the high demand for mathematics learning media by teachers. On the other hand, the quality of education, particularly in junior high schools, is still low. Teachers' competence, especially in media usage and development, is also low. Therefore, a workshop on media development will be conducted to enhance teachers' competence and the availability of learning media. The implementation methods for this engagement activity include material presentations, demonstrations, practical exercises, group discussions, and evaluation with feedback. The results of this engagement activity show that the majority of junior high school teachers in Central Lombok believe that the use of Geogebra and augmented reality in mathematics learning has the potential to improve students' understanding of concepts, interest, motivation, creativity, and learning outcomes. Teachers also acknowledge the importance of their role in effectively integrating this technology. Thus, the use of Geogebra and augmented reality-based learning media can provide positive benefits in enhancing the quality of mathematics education in schools. It is important to consider contextual factors and readiness when implementing Geogebra and augmented reality. The utilization of technology, especially Geogebra and augmented reality, should be tailored to the needs, availability of resources, and characteristics of each educational level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Example Non Example learning model on understanding mathematical concepts in class IV SDN 1 Kawo Pujut District in the Academic Year 2022/2023. In this study using a quantitative approach and type of experimental research, in this study also used methods of observation, testing, and documentation. The test method is used to find out the understanding of mathematical concepts for class IV SDN 1 Kawo Pujut District for the 2022/2023 academic year. While the observation method and documentation are used to collect data about the condition of teachers and students in class IV SDN 1 Kawo Pujut District for the 2022/2023 academic year. Data analysis using t-test formula. The calculation results show that the value of tcount > ttable is 3.112 > 3.015, which means rejecting H0 and accepting H1, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of applying the Example Non Example Learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes in class IV SDN 1 Kawo Pujut District, Academic Year 2022/2023
