Abstract

Every change faced by the organization has an impact on business processes and all employees. The ability to adjust to these changes can be time-consuming and encourages employees to be able to divide work and personal life responsibilities. One concept that can explain this phenomenon is work-life balance. Work-life balance is how to create and maintain a healthy and supportive work environment, which will make employees have a balance between work and personal responsibilities. This research aims to provide education and promotional efforts to employees to be able to increase knowledge about work-life balance and efforts to create a balanced life between work and personal life. This study uses a psychoeducational program to increase knowledge of the importance of work-life balance and efforts to apply it with a problem-based learning approach. Psychoeducation was carried out through webinars which were attended by 50 participants. Data collection techniques using convenience sampling, and data analysis using the t test. The results showed that overall the implementation of psychoeducation was given a value of 80.14% where this score reflects the participants' positive appreciation of the implementation of psychoeducation. Then the results of the pre-test and post-test statistics showed that there were differences before and after being given psychoeducation (p-value 0.00 <0.05), the differences indicated an increase in participants' knowledge regarding psychoeducational material regarding work-life balance. Work-life balance is one of the phenomena that encourage individuals to be able to understand their condition actively, so that psychoeducation with a problem-based learning approach is effective in involving participants in solving problems and having the skills to be able to solve problems. Online psychoeducation using a problem-based learning approach has proven to be effective in increasing participants' knowledge about the importance of work-life balance and efforts to implement it.

Abstract

The career transition from undergraduate studies to the world of work is a very important step in career planning. During this transition period, career counseling is needed in assisting undergraduate students to achieve academic success and career readiness as has been written in several educational reforms such as the Blueprint for Reform from the US Department of Education in 2010 and No Child Left Behind in 2001 (Li, Mau, and Bray, 2017). One aspect that can affect career readiness is Career Decision-Making Self Efficacy (CDSE). This study aims to see the description of Career Decision-Making Self Efficacy of students in the career transition period. Counseling data was processed using a qualitative descriptive phenomenology method to see the meaning of undergraduate students in their Career Decision-Making Self Efficacy. The results of the study that showed a description of students' Career Decision-Making Self Efficacy are expected to be taken into consideration for holding activities aimed at improving students' Career Decision-Making Self Efficacy in the future.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca permulaan menjadi dasar utama untuk memasuki tahap membaca lanjutan, Tapi masih ditemukan anak yang belum mampu membaca seperti pada anak disabilitas intelektual ringan. Kesulitan yang dialami yaitu dalam mengingat semua huruf karena ada permasalahan pada bagian kognitif. Penyesuaian metode dan media dapat mendukung ketercapaian pembelajaran bagi anak dengan disabilitas intelektual ringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode mnemonik dan Orton-Gillingham dalam kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak dengan disabilitas intelektual ringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen subjek tunggal dengan desain A-B-A. Jumlah subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah satu orang. Metode mnemonik digunakan untuk membantu anak dalam mengingat huruf dan metode Orton-Gillingham digunakan karena melibatkan multisensori seperti visual, auditori, kinestetik dan taktil yang cocok untuk anak dengan disabilitas intelektual. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes kemampuan membaca permulaan. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya peningkatan nilai dari kondisi baseline (A1), intervensi (B), dan baseline (A2). Pada kondisi baseline (A1) nilai rata-rata subjek 29,14. Pada kondisi intervensi meningkat menjadi 89,48. Kemudian, kondisi baseline (A2) nilai rata-rata subjek menjadi 91,19. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat peningkatan dalam kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak disabilitas intelektual ringan setelah menggunakan metode mnemonik dan Orton-Gillingham.

Abstract

Abstract: The condition of many street children is that they do not go to school or have dropped out of school. This happened because several basic needs have not been met, which makes them have low motivation to study. Therefore, the Save Street Child (SSC) Surabaya community, as a community that cares for street children, is here to act as a companion to street children and help increase their motivation to learn. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research stages carried out were assessment through observation and interviews then analysis, data reduction and drawing conclusions. In increasing the learning motivation of street children in the SSC community, the role played is through a program of activities that suit the needs experienced by street children. The results of the research show that street children have very low motivation to learn, due to environmental factors that not everyone accepts their existence.Keywords: Save Street Child Community; Street Children; Learning Motivation.Abstrak: Kondisi anak jalanan banyak yang tidak bersekolah atau putus sekolah, hal demikian terjadi karena beberapa faktor kebutuhan dasar yang belum terpenuhi sehingga membuat mereka memiliki motivasi bekajar yang rendah. Oleh karena itu komunitas Save Street Child (SSC) Surabaya sebagai komunitas peduli anak jalanan hadir berperan sebagai pendamping anak jalanan dan membantu dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu dengan asesmen melalui observasi dan wawancara kemudian menganalisis, mereduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak jalanan komunitas SSC maka peran yang dilakukan adalah melalui program kegiatan-kegiatan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang dialami anak jalanan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak jalanan memiliki motivasi yang sangat rendah dalam belajar, dikarenakan faktor lingkungan yang tidak semua menerima keberadaan mereka.Kata Kunci: Komunitas Save Street Child; Anak Jalanan; Motivasi Belajar.

Abstract

The issue of low-quality education on a global scale, particularly pronounced in Indonesia, presents multifaceted challenges spanning from elementary to tertiary education levels. This study endeavors to explore these challenges comprehensively and proffer strategies aimed at ameliorating education quality. By conducting an extensive literature review comprising 18 articles sourced from esteemed databases including Science Direct, Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, and Google Scholar, a range of innovative solutions has been delineated. These encompass modular training paradigms, effective management methodologies within madrasahs, implementation of transformational leadership approaches, methodologies for fostering student engagement, integration of technology, and facilitation of innovative educators. Despite the intricate nature of the challenges encountered within the Indonesian education system, discernible prospects for innovation and enhancement persist. Active engagement of stakeholders, notably teachers and school principals, emerges as pivotal for instigating sustainable changes. Furthermore, the identification of research lacunae, notably in the domain of early childhood education, underscores the imperative for a more expansive research agenda. This study stands to significantly enrich the understanding of education challenges and pioneering strategies, thus laying a robust groundwork for future advancements in education quality.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents with language disorder have significant language difficulties in many situations and impact their communication skills. Communication difficulties experienced by adolescents with language disorders can increase the risk of feeling anxious in social situations and having fewer peer relations. Therefore, interventions are needed that can optimize communication skills. Objective: The aim of this research is to find out whether modeling and behavior rehearsal can improve communication skills in adolescent with language disorder. Method: This research is a quantitative research that uses single subject ABA design. The participant is a 14-year-old girl with language disorder. There are 4 skills that are taught & observed, such as giving comments, asking relevant questions, asking the other person's opinion, and paying attention to the other person's attitude while speaking. Results: All communication skills is increasing, including ask the other person's opinion and provide comments that match with the topic. Conclusion: This proves that modeling and behavior rehearsal are effective in improving adolescent's communication skills with language disorder.AbstrakLatar Belakang: Remaja dengan language disorder memiliki hambatan yang signifikan dalam berbahasa di berbagai situasi dan itu berdampak pada kemampuan komunikasi. Kesulitan berkomunikasi yang dialami remaja dengan language disorder dapat meningkatkan risiko merasa cemas dalam situasi sosial dan memiliki sedikit relasi teman sebaya. Karena itu, dibutuhkan intervensi yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan komunikasi saat berinteraksi sosial, seperti bertanya dan memberi komentar. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan teknik modeling & behavior rehearsal dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi pada remaja yang mengalami language disorder. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain single subject research ABA. Partisipan merupakan remaja perempuan berusia 14 tahun dengan language disorder. 4 target perilaku yang diobservasi yaitu memberi komentar, bertanya hal yang relevan, menanyakan pendapat lawan bicara, dan memperhatikan sikap lawan bicara saat berbicara. Hasil: Adanya peningkatan pada kemampuan menanyakan pendapat lawan bicara dan memberikan komentar yang sesuai topik pembicaraan. Simpulan: Teknik modeling dan behavior rehearsal efektif meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi remaja dengan language disorder.

Abstract

Feminine men experience a lot of pressure from society, such as bullying and exclusion, in the hope that they will follow the prevailing gender norms. This becomes a pressure in itself and has an impact on their psychological dynamics. This article was written with the aim of studying the impact of bullying on feminine men. This article was prepared using the scoping review method based on previous research sourced from Google Scholar published between 2014 – 2023. The results of the analysis of 5 literature revealed that feminine men experience psychological impact on the emotional aspects: sense of insecurity, anxiety, feeling lonely, as well as feeling unhappy. Emotional aspects affect cognitive and behavioral aspects: decreased self-esteem, decreased academic ability, and decreased social functions such as helplessness, withdrawal and decreased social competence. The implications of the research are to build an inclusive environment, instill empathy and respect for differences, create anti-bullying programs and support victims of bullying.

Abstract

Keraguan pengambilan keputusan karir merupakan permasalahan yang muncul ketika individu harus membuat keputusan terkait karir yang ditunjukkan dengan ketidakmampuannya dalam membuat pilihan karir yang spesifik. Kondisi sosial ekonomi di negara Indonesia yang menimbulkan tantangan untuk lulusan baru, ditambah dampak pandemi Covid-19 pada ekonomi negara dapat berpotensi menimbulkan kecemasan pada individu yang sedang melalui proses transisi karir dari dunia perkuliahan menuju dunia kerja. Setelah melakukan kajian, terdapat kemampuan yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam menghadapi ketidakpastian selama masa transisi karir, yaitu Planned Happenstance Skill. Planned Happenstance Skill diasumsikan dapat menjadi variabel moderator antara kecemasan karir dan keraguan pengambilan keputusan karir pada mahasiswa Universitas Airlangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner untuk mengukur kecemasan karir, keraguan pengambilan keputusan karir, dan Planned Happenstance Skill pada mahasiswa Universitas Airlangga. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 95 mahasiswa dengan rentang usia 18-24 tahun. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan dengan teknik convenient sampling. Skala penelitian yang digunakan merupakan skala penelitian yang telah diadaptasi, diantaranya yaitu Career Decision Making Difficulties (CDDQ), Career Anxiety Scale (CAS), dan Planned Happenstance Career Inventory (PHCI). Setelah data didapatkan, data diolah menggunakan Moderated Regression Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peran yang signifikan antara kecemasan karir dan keraguan pengambilan keputusan karir. Meski demikian, moderasi dari Planned Happenstance Skill tidak menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Planned Happenstance Skill tidak dapat mengurangi peran kecemasan karir terhadap keraguan pengambilan keputusan karir mahasiswa.

Abstract

This literature study aims to describe the implementation of inclusive education in regular schools in Indonesia along with the challenges and advantages in its implementation. The selection of journal articles in this literature study is based on several inclusion and exclusion criteria, namely, articles published in the period 2019-2024 or in the last 5 years except for basic theory, the research location comes from a regular school, the type or research method uses quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, and articles in English and Indonesian. Then, the exclusion criteria specified were articles or research that have been published for more than 5 years, research locations that are not from state schools, articles with methods other than quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods, and languages used other than English and Indonesian. Thus, 13 suitable journals were found. The results of this literature study found that the implementation of inclusive education in regular schools still has many shortcomings that need to be addressed. Some of the main problems are the insufficient availability of shadow teachers (or if it's in Indonesian is GPK) and the distribution of aid funds that have not been provided, which has an impact on the development of school facilities and infrastructure. So, by considering several challenges and success factors, it is hoped that this can be taken into consideration in improving and equitable implementation of inclusive education in regular schools in Indonesia. .

Abstract

The implementation of vocational classes is necessary so that student with special needs canprepare for the job competition. Trough vocational classes, student can improve their skill whichsupport a field of work. The success of vocational classes requires family social support, teachers,experts, schools, and external participants. The aim of this research is to describe theimplementation of vocational classes that have been applied to student who has special needs.The research method is narrative literature review. The results explain vocational class programwhich packaged into a career guidance, which contains pre-vocational, vocational, and postvocational. Types of vocational classes include culinary, salon, horticulture, sewing, nail artgradation, barbering, making ceramics, garden lighting, water mills, laundry, cleaning service,hydroponics, drawing, and colouring. Obstacles that arise are low student motivation, limitedschool funding, and inadequate tools. The solution can be proposed is career guidance invocatonal education. Family social support and financial capabilities are needed for the successof vocational education.Keywords: Students with Special Needs, Vocational Education
